Visit of 5 November 2017 - Highly recommended !! not to be missed. An obligatory "pilgrimage" for telegraphers and radio amateurs; we are moved. Very kind and professional guides; Well-kept museum. Only photos, no videos. During the visit with the electrotechnical guide, it is possible to see the radio equipment of the time in operation, rebuilt like the originals. Along the way, multimedia stations are set up. A small criticism: it would take longer for the presentation of such a complex topic. Regards, Annibale (ik2gra) P.S. do not forget before leaving the signature on the register!
Magical place, time seems to stand still .... A must see !!
it is the history of communication, which has revolutionized our lives.
Well organized museum, welcoming and prepared staff. Great activities.
An exciting experience to discover the Italian genius.
Unique experience, everything starts from here .....
Beautiful, the staff is friendly, prepared and conveys great enthusiasm for physics, Marconi and technique. More than a museum, it is a life experience. Well done !!!!
Open for guided tours on Sunday mornings from 10.00
I was on Sunday morning. Guided tour with 3 different speakers (there was a group of 50 people in addition to 3 other couples). They divided us into 3 groups. Really good and engaging in explaining both Marconi's story and the more technical part. I am a radio amateur and the visit went beyond my expectations. I also recommend to the most expert on the subject.
Museum of the famous scientist from Bologna, worth a visit
Very interesting. The history of telecommunications.
Fantastic visit. I highly recommend for adults and children
Beautiful interactive museum, unfortunately due to the covid we couldn't do everything. Overall it was a wonderful experience, we touched Marconi's genius with our hands.
We could not visit the site, it was Sunday and there are guided tours only by 10 if not answer calls after no, you can not have any information and who we met was rude as well.
For a radio enthusiast it is almost a place of worship.
Very interesting visit
Fascinating atmosphere fueled by the passion of the manageress. . . Marconi's genius grew and matured in this villa and in my opinion it still lingers. .
Beautiful, fascinating. The person who accompanied us was thorough and light, despite the vastness of the topics. Very well kept and easy to reach place.
Spectacular home-museum, where you can rediscover the works and genius of Guglielmo Marconi. Sunday morning, on request, there is free visit where is retraced the life of Marconi admiring some used items right from Marconi and equipment that illustrate research.
Mecca for radio amateurs, and for those who want to know the history of radio communications
Spectacular place of worship dedicated to the Italian genius Guglielmo Marconi President of the Italian Academy and member of the Grand Council of Fascism
Prepared, passionate and helpful staff and volunteers. Well-kept place, the park above all. To visit.
Extremely interesting and educational visit for adults and children. A really interesting and surprising man of existence!
I passed it by chance, I spent 10 minutes only visiting the outside open to anyone. The park with the villa and the mausoleum are truly beautiful. It took so little to remember Guglielmo Marconi and what he contributed to, as witnessed by the modernities we all live today. It is worth even just for 5 minutes.
Very interesting museum. I went there with the schoolchildren that I accompanied and it was very educational for the students to hear and see, in use, the inventions of the one who became history! I recommend it to everybody!
The Radio Shrine, the place where the young Guglielmo Marconi invented wireless, or wireless communications.
A must-visit place, the well-kept garden is large and houses the heirloom (a small piece of the hull) of the elettra yacht, the reconstruction of the antenna with which Marconi made the first connection over the Celestini hill, the mausoleum that houses the his remains and the enormous bronze statue representing the inventor.
The interior of the villa is used as a museum, in particular the technical part is full of original pieces and perfect and functioning reconstructions of the first prototypes of Marconian transmitters and receivers.
The visit to the museum is also suitable for children aged 9-10 and up, the highly trained staff will accompany you on a fascinating journey that will make you discover a fascinating Guglielmo Marconi, skilled inventor and above all an excellent entrepreneur. An innovator and visionary who today, in the wireless era, is more relevant than ever.
Comprehensive guide related to a movie from the Hollywood director
Historical place and museum to visit absolutely. The presence of Guglielmo Marconi is perceived.
Recommended for people of all ages.
Convenient to reach.
There is no internal bar.
An important part of the history of Italy that recalls the life of one of the greatest Italian scientists and Nobel laureate.
A fantastic place that immerses you in the discoveries of Marconi and the scientists of his time and in the world of wi-fi of the late 19th / early 20th century.
Still a museum to visit absolutely with a guide who will allow you to know all these discoveries and the life of Guglielmo Marconi.
A magical place steeped in science and history. Well organized, there were two of us and they made us agree to an organized group (I would have lowered the price given the aggregation but that's ok, 10 are not exaggerated for what you see!). We have seen and touched some devices created by Marconi and we have seen their functioning, ideal for children and schools. The only flaw is the presence of a little dog kept in a fence not far from the house, I asked and they told me that there is only the day when there are visits and that for the rest is free, bah I always remain of the idea that dogs are not burglar alarms but if you are free in that place it is certainly a good life. Recommended for a different Sunday!
Being in front of the person who has made one of the greatest contributions to the history of humanity is priceless
Fantastic ! pity that the City does not enhance it with transport as it deserves.
very interesting and beautiful to visualize what a young scion of a rich family, but without specific studies, has managed to create
for the science of communications !!!
I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of Guglielmo Marconi a genius .... It is also thanks to his studies that today we use cell
Nice experience and visit to deepen the history of Guglielmo Marconi and his inventions
Museum dedicated to the genius Marconi, presented by people who show passion for what they do!
Villa home of G. Marconi from where he launched the first wireless signal. Museum and grave.
Interesting to learn more about the history of our scientists and inventors, and where it all started.
Great for school trips to discover the greatest innovation in human history
found with difficulty, it takes a sign on the road in front of the mausoleum
A place where history has marked an important chapter. Perfect for the little ones, you will discover interesting things.
An interesting visit to get to know Guglielmo Marconi in what was his home and laboratory, now a museum, with many interesting exhibits that see the attic laboratory as the culmination of interest, with a splendid view of the park, very well maintained. A very well prepared and passionate guide, very competent, able to tell and explain in multiple languages, very very good, lead the visit. We were talking about the finds, really many and precious, which cover Marconi's life span. You enter curious, for the idea of embarking on a journey into the world of one of the greatest Italian talents, and you leave amazed by the genius, skill, greatness of this character! A visit that deserves, to remember also that we Italians have been decisive for world progress.
Villa Grifone is a must visit, the attic where Guglielmo Marconi set up his workshop is full of charm. From the attic window you can see "the hill" made history due to the gunshot that confirmed the reception of the radio signal sent ... The keel of the Elettra, the tall statue almost touching Guglielmo's sky, the mausoleum where the Nobel Prize rests ... It is absolutely necessary to contact the foundation and book a visit.
Surreal atmosphere represents the greatness of the character
Really cool place. Perfect for school trips to technical and scientific institutes. The path is well illustrated and argued, both as regards the historical notes and the simulations. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Very interesting experience, the guided tour, by reservation, is absolutely recommended.
Place to visit absolutely, very prepared guide, moderate ticket price.
A place where you can savor the story of a man who truly changed the world!
Beautiful Museum - unique character to discover ... absolutely worth stopping ...
Beautiful ... children loved it so much and we had so much fun .....
Beautiful experience suitable for everyone, I highly recommend it
Very interesting to know how we got to today's communications starting from Marconi's discoveries. Go there!
