Interesting exhibition that deserves a visit. A special mention for the film by Raymond Depardon and Claudine Nougaret.
Very beautiful contemporary ensemble which mixes plants and different materials, especially glass.
Always interesting exhibitions.
It's nice to have a museum so close to home but I find the exhibitions quite average, including the one on the trees now, apart from the great paintings of a certain "Sylvera", aesthetic that's all, the visit guided, free, was kind, "boat", I learned nothing, she pleads the cause of trees with a giant green flyer distributed at the entrance ... The elevators are not accessible to the public to get to the bookstore at the top or the downstairs room, you have to ask for access to a vendor and it takes lead ...
Amazing to wait outside in the cold with a baby in a stroller!
Great exhibit on art in South America, geometries sud. Well worth seeing!
Exhibitions that always make you spend a moment of pleasure and discovery, open to the world from this place with unique architecture.
a beautiful place for a beautiful tribute to a Malian photographer. free for children is appreciated.
We trees. Great exhibition
Beautiful works from around the world.
a wonderful tribune for the people of the forest and their art. a lot of love, intelligence, generosity in the sharing of knowledge.
A lot of emotions
To see and see again absolutely
I love this place, but the exhibitions are too expensive for what there is to see and there is too much waiting inside the foundation. Queuing outside, OK, but queuing up inside, no ...
Beautiful exhibition space (ishigami at the moment) with a refreshment bar in a pretty garden
I like the scenography of their exhibitions, the staff is young and friendly. It is bright, the small garden behind allows you to relax after a visit.
But above all: the works presented are beautiful
Exhibition always a little offbeat but interesting most of the time it was the case today
The expo was remarkable! Bravo, it reconciles me with contemporary art!
One of my favorite places when it comes to seeing exhibitions in Paris. The new jean building is a sublime dialogue between garden and architecture. The scenography is always extremely neat and the importance given to the light, never neglected.
Excellent selection in the bookstore too. The exhibition US TREES is to see, absolutely!
A place to discover for its architecture and contemporary expisitions
Exceptional exhibition The Trees. The exhibitions of the Cartier Foundation are always very worked while keeping a form of sobriety. Bravo
Great place, perfect for taking kids to do shows. Very nice garden.
Announcement of the exhibition on the trees while the theme was artistic.
It is a great museum, good exhibitions but it doesn't have a cafe and given it is far, it should have one
Very beautiful exhibition
Qq observations: 1 single visit commented / day for 12 visitors. This is not due to lack of staff because many young girls very dilettantes in each room.
Impossible to enter the museum without his ticket.
Organization to review in the cold
There should be (as in most museums)
A check inside.
Too many, photos
Not enough, tree exposure
Beautiful place. However I start to doubt the artistic direction because the exhibition is very average.
The garden of the Foundation is an important asset, with its large trees, it is nice to walk there after the visit of an exhibition. And you have to go see the exhibition. "We trees" .The interior is air-conditioned and you can sit and enjoy the paintings, objects and videos for a long time
Current Expo We trees seen by artists and scientists remind us of the importance of protecting them in these times of ecological disaster!
A garden place, EXPO, nomad evening And much more !!!! Bravo Carmen
Digests and targeted, the exhibitions of the Foundation will not stop to fascinate us.
Superb building, interesting exhibits, well stocked boutique / bookstore depending on the expo. Do not miss to go around the buildings through the outdoor garden.
Great space! The show on now is Nous les Arbres (loosely "We the Trees"), and it is fantastic. It features a range of voices on trees, trees and people, and people and trees run don't walk. It's up til Jan 5, 2020.
Magical place haven of peace out of the city
Interesting Expo
Place with a beautiful glass architecture that lets the viewer navigate between inside and outside with the look. I went there for Junya Ishigami's exhibition. A real trip takes place, I recommend it.
Visit of the exhibition on the trees. Interesting, beautiful, poignant and especially didactic.
Beautiful building! Wonderful garden! Worth the visit. There was a restaurant and a coffee shop installed. I expected more from the store.
Very nice exhibition, a lot of people present so we can not really enjoy the works presented. But the staff are very professional.
Since the Berlin Wall collapsed
So-called EU generation young artists are on display
Not large
New generation artists
I could feel various attempts.
Rather than Pong
Not just good enough.
If you are interested in contemporary art
I think you'd better stop by on the way back.
There's a very small garden inside.
The admission fee is around 10 euros.
Rotating exhibits. Come to see the Jean-Nouvel designed building and enjoy the garden around the building. Some places to eat your sandwich. Order tickets online for faster entry on week-ends
The exhibitions and the place are qualities.
However, the staff is a little rude.
Posted closing at 20h on the site. We arrived around 7pm to see an exhibition.
At 19:45 (15 minutes before closing ...) the staff announces the closing of the premises.
A person watching the exhibition even deliberately creates a shadow on a work to prevent me from taking a last photo
I found myself on the sidewalk at 19:48.
Experience slightly spoiled.
Superb exhibition in a superb place on the theme of the tree
Lovely space, well curated exhibit, automobile photos.
Interesting exhibition on the evolution of photography and cars!
place of culture where exhibitions are always great and original
A must of contemporary art in Paris. The building of Jean Nouvel did not take a ride. The exhibitions are of quality. The bookstore well done, a pity that we can not access it without paying.
The garden is relaxing.
Foundation visited on the occasion of the exhibition on the architect Ishigami. Once the glass enclosure passed, the place is particularly pleasant, the green spaces, the terrace .. the premises are spacious, high ceilings.
We visited the Fondation Cartier on the occasion of the excellent exhibition Nous Les Arbres. The spaces dedicated to the exhibitions are very spacious, open and well equipped, we never walk on them. The building of Jean Nouvel is very beautiful and located in lush greenery in full Paris.
The exhibition itself was quite remarkable.
Very short exhibition ... and the famous: "the visit continues upstairs" when we only find the store of the foundation ... hoping that it will be better next time
Very nice quiet and timeless place and very beautiful expo on the trees
Museum space well integrated in the park, the architecture of the place is well suited to it with the use of glass
Tickets are not cheap, there are only two floors of exhibits, which is more expensive than many high-level museums in Paris...
Very nice place, the current exhibition was very enriching
Modern museum lost in the middle of a pretty garden. I went to see an exhibition on architecture and the models were well presented thanks to a small booklet to distribute at the beginning of the visit.
Often good exhibitions but the site is sorely lacking in practical information, timetables, prices, telephone ...
Very beautiful place, a small island of greenery for Caennaise which comes to exhibit in Paris. Always exciting exhibitions. I will remember the Trees.
Beautiful exhibition "Geometries South", beautiful scenography and discovery on this occasion of exciting contemporary artists. On the other hand, the warders are haughty, chatty, noisy and the young woman from the bookshop is the same cask, obviously not concerned by the rudiments of politeness. Pity.
I loved my visit, the exhibition was very interesting, the place is magnificent, and the museum staff are pleasant.
Superb photo exhibition on the theme of the automobile
The Cartier Foundation is one of the great artistic exhibition venues in Paris. Located on boulevard Raspail near the Denfert Rochereau metro station or RER B, in a building designed by Jean Nouvel, it is easily accessible to the public. The exhibitions are very original and very diverse. They sometimes continue in the garden at the back of the building. They can be dedicated to young artists or recognized creators, French or foreign. Young mediators are present to facilitate visits and exchange with the public. Nomadic evenings allow meetings with artists from all disciplines. The bookstore is very interesting with titles of books related to the exhibitions. The night is on Tuesday. It is necessary to visit this place which is a little eccentric compared to the great museums of the banks of the Seine because it deserves a detour.
Superb expo but a little disappointed by lack of information + detailed about the works and their "why".
The architecture by Jean Nouvel - probably the most famous French architect alive - is awesome. The foundation hosts temporary exhibitions that are always of great quality. Don't miss the cute little garden behind the building.
Nice gallery with greenery area in the middle of city. A bit expensive for gallery
Excellent programme for modern and contemporary art.
I love this place, which is a haven of peace and culture in a district of Paris that lacks a bit of emblematic places. The exhibitions there are always great, I have never been disappointed, the store is an opportunity for great discoveries and it is a pleasure to see that the members of the foundation work so well in this setting signed by Jean Nouvel whose paw can be recognized. .
Too bad I don't live in Paris, otherwise I will take a Duo subscription without hesitation.
Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain is a Paris-based organization that has been at the forefront of promoting contemporary art for over three decades. The foundation was established in 1984 by Alain Dominique Perrin, who envisioned creating a space where contemporary artists could showcase their work and engage with audiences from around the world.
Located in a stunning building designed by renowned architect Jean Nouvel, Fondation Cartier is an excellent example of corporate philanthropy. The foundation's mission is to promote contemporary art and culture through exhibitions, events, and educational programs that encourage dialogue between artists and audiences.
One of the unique aspects of Fondation Cartier is its commitment to showcasing emerging artists alongside established ones. This approach has helped to create a vibrant community of artists who are pushing boundaries and challenging traditional notions of what art can be.
The foundation's exhibition program features works from all over the world, with an emphasis on promoting diversity and inclusivity. From photography to sculpture, painting to video installations, there is something for everyone at Fondation Cartier.
In addition to its exhibition program, Fondation Cartier also hosts a range of events throughout the year. These include talks by leading figures in the art world, film screenings, concerts, and performances. These events provide opportunities for visitors to engage with contemporary culture in new ways while also learning more about the creative process behind some of today's most exciting artworks.
Fondation Cartier also places great importance on education and outreach programs aimed at engaging young people with contemporary art. Through partnerships with schools and community organizations across Paris and beyond, the foundation provides access to cultural experiences that might otherwise be out of reach for many young people.
Overall, Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain stands out as one of Europe's leading institutions dedicated to promoting contemporary art. Its commitment to diversity and inclusivity sets it apart from other museums or galleries while its innovative programming ensures that visitors always have something new and exciting to discover when they visit this remarkable institution.
