I went in looking for something to hang pictures. So much variety and so many choices. A gent came with me and helped me locate them.
It was very nice. And I even found some other things.
Great place to go if you want to get your Trump apparel.
Any paint job big or small outdoor patio or deck, indoor paint best quality and deal see Larry in paint department very friendly and knoledgeble.
One of my favs They have everything Love the cleaners and Kit stuff
Came in 30 minutes to close. Had the screws I needed and didn't make me feel like a villain for my last minute business.
Great selection. You can find everything you need or want
Excellent service and they stock items other stores have to order.
Once I went here to fill up my propane tank, and even though the store was practically empty, it took over 30 minutes. They forgot about me and didn't even apologize for wasting my time. They do have a pretty good selection of supplies, for a neighborhood hardware store. But, Lowe's and Home Depot will get you a better price with a much bigger selection. There just aren't any of those nearby.
Came to this to purchase replacement for power cord (electrical grill) they didn't have what I need but they said go find one at Home Depot and come back we will fix it no big deal. We went to Home Depot got the replacement and came back they said will be done tomorrow come to pick it up at any time! I came the next day...and guy told me he doesn't know what I'm talking about! It could take up to 7days to fix it! It is other places to go to get this done without hassle! Won't ever come back to this store again.
Customer service at this place has gone out the window. People at the registers are nice, but people working the aisles (if you can find anyone) are rude to apathetic. I used to frequent this hardware store a lot; not any more. I now go to Westlake Ace in Corinth for quick stuff. Also, beware of "local guide" reviews that tend to artificially inflate google reviews.
53 years ago, my dad took me to Ranchmart Hdwr, I was 7 years old. I've enjoyed looking at all the stuff then, and still do. My sons worked here in high school. It's not just a store, they're family.
Went here today and the majority of the staff were wearing their masks down around their chin even inside. This is the second time I ve come here since the pandemic and witnessed this. Regardless of your personal opinion, it sends the message that you aren t concerned with your customer s health and safety. It s really too bad because I want to support locally owned businesses especially during this time.
Edit: I appreciate this owner s response. As a healthcare worker, I have been wearing a mask all day, every day well before it was mandated for the general public, so I am aware that it is not the most comfortable thing to have to do. However, I still continue to wear a mask when I come out into public to do anything I can to help keep others safe. I do hope your ownership is genuinely committed to creating a sense of solidarity among the community by expecting the same of your staff.
The man working in the paint section is completely rude. Treated me like I was putting him out of the way to do his job because I needed a certain kind of paint for a project and I needed help figuring out what my options were. Lost my business. Left what I originally came in for on the shelf for him to put back, which I never do, because that is how rude he was and severely pissed me off. He was wearing a black shirt. I hope THAT wasn t your manager.
Best service. Employees were all helpful and treated me as a friend. Lots of unique items in the housewares dept. The only hardware store I will ever shop at!!!.
If you need an amazing experience and phenomenal customer service in the paint department, ask for Ryan! He answered technical questions, explaining molecular components of the paint, environmental factors, and dimensional quantity help. 6 STAR employee
love ace . They are so helpful and helped design a great hook and chain set up for new punch bag
Shopped here for years. They have the things and the knowledge that the big boxes don't.
Always an interesting place to visit. Eclectic inventory.
Hardware stores are so much fun which includes this one. You know what I am talking about.
I love this hardware store and it always has interesting houseware and garden things to look at and buy.
I went there on 4/25/20. Every other time I've been there the staff has been helpful, if not pleasant.
This morning, the woman with the dyed, red hair working the "help desk" was extremely rude, in addition to being of no help whatsoever. In fact, she tried to pass the blame for her own uselessness off on the kid working the register when I went in to pick up my motor.
Maybe she should consider a job where she doesn't have to deal with people.
I was in the lawn and garden section and asked for help from the lady with the short red hair. She was extremely short with me, and made me feel kind of stupid. I never leave reviews, but I ve had this same type of experience with her multiple times. If I come back, I will definitely avoid asking her for anything!
Great selection of stuff but if you need a more specialized nut or Bolt or other item, you may need to go to Home Depot instead.
Great selection. A bit pricey. Service was friendly
I've been to this Ace Hardware many times. The employees are always very helpful. I always find what I need and never leave disappointed.
Not the greatest prices on some things but they do have a superior selection of the weird, odd, impossible things you end up needing when you own a 60+ year old house.
Worst customer service ever. Prices don't match what's on their website.
This store isn t the most convenient for us, but we stop by if Sutherland s doesn t have what we are looking for. I will give credit to friendly service in most instances. Today was the 3rd occasion of coupons by Ace Hardware not working. Between the amount of exclusions and the store s inability to support an email/app coupon received within the company s app, we ll head a bit further down for Lowe s in the future.
Always helpful and knowledgeable with a seemingly never-ending supply of products.
I called to ask about a specific pizza oven (Ooni) because online it said they had some in stock. The manager I spoke with wasn t helpful at all. When I asked about it he replied, Well, we have some grills.. I asked if he would check for the pizza oven. He came back on the phone a minute later and said, Yeah, we got some in the barbecue section. I asked which brand and he replied, I have no idea at this time. I said Ok.. and he hung up.
Craig in plumbing was so friendly and helpful. Stayed with me and created a solution for a clients leaky faucet. Thanks, Craig! I'll be visiting again! And what a selection of grilling accessories!
Good hardware, but the last few times I have been in, the helpful staff have been getting harder to find. This last time, I asked some fat indian guy who said he was a manager if he could help me find a cleaner. He passed me off to another employee, saying he was too busy . All while huffing around without a mask on. I ve never left a review before, but this service has made me change that. I will be going to a different location from here forward.
Supper nice they went to the basement and got snow boards for us in the middle of the summer. You can fine just about anything best hardware store I've seen.
Has a lot to offer, lots of folks running around to help you but they're a little short on knowledge sometimes.
We had water in our basement from the intense rain and they were happy to stay open late and help me load sandbags into my car after we called and asked for help. True customer service!
I love ranchmart hardware and have for a lot of years, even when they were on the north side of 95th. They usually have the hard to find hardware and their service, help and advice is stellar. The prices are a little higher but I usually find its worth it. They also have some good sale items that draw me in.
They have everything you need and more with very knowledgeable staff. This is my go to hardware store.
Very rude workers!!! On 1/13/19, roughly around 1:30pm, I saw a tall worker (6 4/light brown hair) treat a customer in a very aggressive and inappropriate way!! The customer was just asking questions about light bulb and batteries.
Tried to find something. The employees did not seem too interested in helping.
They carry things that are hard to find at other big box stores like Lowe s or Home Depot and the employees are always so helpful. They actually ask if they can help you, rather than you, the customer, searching aisle after aisle for someone to help.
Bought a garage door opener & it started making a grinding noise immediately. The receipt says 30 day money back guarantee but after only a week the lady assistant manager refused to take it back & said we had to send it back to manufacturer even thought I had the receipt. Terrible service will go to Lowe's from now on. I should have read the reviews first because I see I'm not the only person they refuse to honor the 30 day money back guarantee for. Fraudulent advertising at it's worst.
Great shopping center. Construction in the psrking lot has caused huge problems for business and customers. Better planning would have helped.
This store is the closest thing I know of in Kansas City to the old-fashioned hardware store. TONS of stuff that might only sell once a year (but when you need it, you need it), rather than only things that move fast (like most hardware stores and the big box stores have become). Those who don't like this store because it's "cramped," dark, etc., don't know what it's like to go into a real hardware store. They're lucky one still exists. I drive a long distance just to give them my business (and because they usually have things nobody else has).
Friendly and helpful staff. Large supply. Fun, retro items.
You can never go wrong with a Ace hardware. Staff is always helpful and knowledgeable.
This is our go-to hardware store. The employees are SO helpful. When you walk down the main aisles, every employee will stop to ask if you're needing any help. Tonight, the manager spent 15 minutes on the phone with other Ace stores helping us to locate an item that was out-of-stock here and in the Ace warehouses. The customer service we experience at this store is unlike anywhere else!
Always has the right tools, supplies and paint. This time I bought Benjamin Moore's Satin Impervo paint. Great staff. Very helpful.
Love this place! They have everything from misc gifts to all your hardware needs. Best of all ..their staff is super helpful and friendly!
Need to ask for help to find hardware. Clerks are helpful, IF one is available. More expensive than other places, but it is a Specialty Neighborhood Hardware Store.
The hardware selection seems lacking at times but overall a good store.
Excellent selection & service. Beware of mucked up parking lot due to construction--hope it is done soon.
The staff at this location is among the most helpful I have encountered. I showed up 10 mins before they were actually open, but they let me in and cut the piece of glass I needed anyway. I will shop here whenever I am close to their location.
Hard to get in because of construction but it's nice
So much more than hardware, it is my go-to for last minute unique gifts.
Very well stocked. Floor staff is friendly and helpful. Cashiers need to learn how to smile.
Love, love, love the selection of this store but the staff's customer service can fall short. Bought a can of spray paint and the nozzle didn't work. Called the store to see if they had the same color in stock before I made a 25 minute drive and they refused to tell me over the phone. Said I'd have to bring it in. As I'd already put the primer coat on and had 1 hr to get the topcoat on, time was of an essence. Very rude.
The best hardware store in Johnson County and has been forever! Been going there since 1973.
Good selection of hardware. Good help is getting harder to find at Ranch Mart Hardware. I talked to someone who identified himself as a manager. That person would not help me find a concrete block. That employee suggested that I go to a local chain of hardware stores for that type of thing.
They prominently feature MAGA stuff as you walk in the door. Thumbs down. Westlake is at 83rd and Mission 5 minutes away.
Staff has ALWAYS been helpful when I've been in the store and they have just about everything you could want.
This place is AWESOME and the staff is friendly, helpful, and honest! They helped me with my Key fob for my car and had me out the door in minutes!
If you need it, they've got it!
Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Always have what I need. Always friendly and helpful. Get the rewards card and you'll always have a coupon too!
Terrible Supervisor! I tried to exchange a cheap umbrella and they wouldn't do it! So much for Costumer service!!! Terrible place!
This is my go-to place for bulbs, furnace filters, grass seed, Christmas lights, etc. I'm not a contractor, etc. Just a guy that needs a few things every now and then and this is it for me. The store is well stocked and the employees are always helpful...Plus they sharpen knifes.
Great Ace. Super helpful people who are all funny which is a plus. go to for anything in my house.
One of the last few great hardware stores in KC. They have it all
Outstanding customer service. Great selection, competitive prices.
A very nice hardware store with a wide range of products
This family owned . Neighborhood store feels like the kind of store you went to with your dad when you were a kid . Friendly staff the employees give great advice and help when buying supplies for small DIY projects . Paint , gardening, automotive , household cleaners, bbq grills . I always shop here instead of home depot or lowes when possible.
Most of the time they have been helpful, but maybe my previous visits weren't as demanding. We went into the paint center this last weekend to have our colors mixed up and the person who helped us was absolutely terrible. He didn't seem like he knew at all what was going on, and just kind of muttered around. After about 10 minutes of him spitting out random sentences, we took our business to the ACE down the street. There is no chance of me visiting this location again, the service was awful.
