The doctors are okay but administration is poorly run. Just trying to get an accurate cost estimate for a procedure is difficult. The one agent who knew what she was doing there, Erin, was moved to another department. Sometimes you might get a bill in the mail for the total cost of an in network Dr visit after you've made your copay. Don't expect an apology, "it hasn't been processed yet".

It's the people that makes the difference.

It's the people that makes the difference.
And at florida health care, they are always willing to help you.
And treat you like an adult specifically there " pharmacy staff.

Excellent facilities very clean and professionally managed all personnel very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. All equipment and supplies appear to me to be technically of the most current and highest standards available.

Terrible. I have visited this pharmacy several times and it has never been a positive or easy experience. Zero sense or urgency, they let their waiting room pile up with people just picking up their prescriptions. The lady that usually works behind the counter moves at a snail's pace and could care less that she has a room full of people waiting for her. I addition to being slow, she is unprofessional. I had a FHC rep call me on a Friday at 8:24 am asking if I wanted to refill my medicine (my refills were due so I took her up on the offer) she said she would have the refills ready at the end of the day. I work full time and have two small children, we didn't make it that evening, but I was there the next morning (Saturday). Only to be told by the unprofessional woman behind the counter "Whaaaaaaat? We called youuuuu? Well we don't do that, I don't have any refills for you ". So essentially I wasted my time, waited 45 minutes to be given the run around. Meanwhile, I'm out of my medication. When I showed her my phone and that FHC CALLED me to have the refill done and she laughed and thought I was making it up, she said "well we don't even open until 8:30 so that's impossible" (FHC called me at 8:24 on a Friday .)
Here we are a week later, NO MEDICATION. Now I'm on hold and have been for 15 minutes, I want to call and see if my refills are ready before wasting more time at the Holly Hill pharmacy...my line number in the hold queue keeps jumping from 2 to 1, back to 2, then back to 1.
I'm disappointed in the service I received. I am in customer service, have been for over 15 years, I go above and beyond for my clients, and take pride in my work. I wish FHC felt the same way. If my employer didn't have us signed up with them, I would change insurance providers in a heartbeat. I do not reccomend.
Addendum to my previous review: after being on hold for 25 minutes, I opted to leave a voicemail (since this was an option that was mentioned on the recording for the entire 25 minute hold time. I was transferred, AND THEN HUNG UP ON.
Thank you for absolutely nothing FHC, you stress me out more than necessary when you should be here to support your members. I can see FHC going downhill fast, enjoy it while you can. Your lack of understanding and care will bring you down eventually.

The doctor here is great, which is why I keep coming back, however I've had bad experiences with the other staff. Not notifying me in a timely manner when appointment info has changed. More than once I've received a condescending attitude from staff.

This office was very toxic to my mental health. I often felt much worse when leaving than getting there. I felt ignored, neglected, and like they did not believe me about anything, even though I have no history of lying or devious behavior that would suggest that. All in all, these people wasted previous time I could have been using seeing serious professionals that respect their patients' well-beings and livelihoods.

I saw Jared Ritter as my Psychiatrist and Julia Howe as my therapist.

Jared Ritter:

1) He dismissed almost every concern I bright to him. I told him I was suffering badly with symptoms of impulse (I have anxiety, depression, PTSD from sexual assault and fibromyalgia). My impulse symptoms have been a 15 year history of an eating disorder, 8 yrs spending money on things I don't want, and 5 yrs stealing things I don't want. I regret the decisions later, but conduct this behavior when I'm anxious and have not been able to grasp them during the situation. I get so anxious that I throw up. He said as his response that I would learn my lesson by either running out of money/ruining my credit score or getting caught and I would get over it then. This was such an insensitive, ignorant and inappropriate response to give to a patient when you went to school to help people figure out how to deal with these things. He caused me to lose my faith in psychiatrists. This sounded like something a psychiatrist would say in 1955, back when they shocked gay people to "cure" them.

2) I called the office to let him know that I had not slept in 3 days, despite every effort to get some sleep, and that I was exhausted, dizzy and my head felt like a construction zone. He required a drug test even though I am not a substance abuse patient and had no drugs in my system. So, I had to drive to the office to take the test, not only in the middle of the work day, but running the risk of crashing since I had not slept in days. I actually lost consciousness in the facility (fainting from head pain, not sleeping). Then, I would have to wait for the results of the test, wait for him to write a prescription, and then wait for it to be filled. The last 2 (getting and filling prescription) were not in his control, but requiring the test only delayed my treatment and put me directly in harm's way of injury in a car crash. This decision was negligent.

Julia Howe: she gave me a lot of information that was incorrect and actually caused me problems. I told her that I was worried my symptoms of extreme fatigue, anxiety, panic attackd and loss of concentration would cause me to lose my job (I was correct and lost my job btw).

1) She said that I should not worry about losing my job, because my job probably would not be able to find someone as qualified as me and so they probably would not fire me. What a ridiculous and dusmissive statement to make when your client is suffering symptoms that are devastating their job performance.

2) She said that if I lost it, I would have another 30 days of insurance coverage. THAT WAS FALSE. You have until the end of the month of your last work day. My last day was Friday, July 29, 2016, so I didn't even have until Monday to see my doctors. I had to spend a precious $575 to continue my insurance immediately, all because she gave advice she was not qualified to give.

Overall, go to these people if you're willing to risk being ignored, dismissed or outright mistreated. Otherwise, find better "professionals".

Do not go to the walk in clinic! Just go to the hospital, the ARNP at the walk in clinic does not care about your health. Their biggest concern is "why are you here and not at your primary" and she knew she misdiagnosed me- I heard her tell her staff- which led to my needing to be hospitalized for five days.

Shanna pharmacy employee working the counter is unfamiliar with drugs and their genetic equivalent, did Not answer simple questions can you transfer from my old pharmacy , then made a point of talking loudly and laughing with other employees and said wait 20 minuets.

I am extremely happy with the service i recieved. there is a lady named Betty who stuck with me daily for 4 months until marketplace got there stuff right. And she was a God send she did everything she was capable of doing. And even went out of her way to call and check on me to see how i was doing. No one else would even give a client a second look but not Betty she went above and beyond. I will forever be grateful to her.

I must say, I have been extremely pleased with FHC. They have covered everything I have needed. Including a short hospital stay. The co-pays are very reasonable and the Doctors have been first rate.

Im writing this about the urgent care center in port orange. I feel this location is not managed well. I can't write on behalf of the others because I have never visited before. I have been treated as my issues were not as bad as i made them see. 1st time i had a completely torn MCL and they said I was "fine" gave me some crutches and thats it.......no instructions, no nothing, just have a good day. I had to ask what do they think it is. I had to go find other medical attention by going to my primary to get referred to get an MRI only find out i wasn't "fine".
This last visit tops it. I had all symptoms of COVID and they tell me I likely have it, but WONT test me. They cited some CDC bull****. So I had to seek medical attention else wear. Completely disappointed in the facility and no one seems to care.

Most of the pharmacy technicians look like they would rather be anywhere but there and are somewhat rude while ringing you up.other than that I cant complain. Hours are at least flexible, if you work a 9-5 job, you can still pick up your RX .

Kathy L. In the family counseling Dept. needs to seriously re-evaluate her career choice. I do not believe it is normal for a counselor to make a patient feel so inadequate about themselves that it leaves them in tears in the parking lot before leaving the facility. Also, highly rude for her to be munching on snacks during sessions. And these are the type of people we seek out to help with our emotional issues!! HAH

I've been with Florida health care for almost 16 years. In general this day has both empathetic and efficient. I walk with a cane comma and people there went out of their way help me accomplish what I needed to get done today I visited here.

The price is the only good thing. The limited doctors you can see could care less about you, prescriptions that are medically necessary get put on hold because almost everything needs special authorization....Calling customer service just lets you speak to someone who can read a screen but not actually answer any questions. I can read. I don t need them to read to me. I need them to answer my questions about what is written. The company just does not care about its customers. As a pregnant woman who plans on breaat feeding I called to ask how to get my breast pump. They informed me that I can not even submit my request until after the baby is born, then I have to wait on my doctors to fax them (Ha) a request and I will be mailed one. No one there knows the timeline for how long that could take. Why even pay people to answer customer calls if they don t know any answers?

Florida Health Carr Plans is the perfect local HMO health care provider. FHCP has its own in-house pharmacy. They also have a mental health department that is top notch! Customer service is key with Florida Health Care. I would consider it extremely rare to have anything but the best customer service.

This is THE WORST INSURANCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I AM PAYING 1600.00 A MONTH AND WAS JUST TOLD THAT LACRISERTS ARE A TIER 6 drug AND I HAVE TO PAY $500.00 A MONTH FOR THEM!!!! I was told when I signed up for this insurance I would be having a $75.00 copay as I checked the 2 drugs that I take before I bought the insurance. Now they say sorry it's a tier 6, Tier 6 is for cancer drugs etc... That is absolutely unacceptable. Then I find a coupon for Walgreens and am told that since I need pre approval for this medicine I cannot buy it at Walgreens where it is $465.00 cheaper.. Are you serious or is this the biggest joke for health care on the planet!

Kathy Mcsweeney an agent at the Florida Health Care in Holly Hill was wonderful! I had a serious surgery scheduled and was in danger of losing my existing insurance plan. Not only did she help me with my plan she was exceptionally kind and compassionate and helped calm my fears. I felt so much better after speaking with her. Florida Health Care is so lucky to have her. She is a blessing.

This place is a joke. The wait time is just inconsiderate, i have been waiting for over 45 mins. The fact that myself and another person were the only two patients at the office, the wait time shouldn't be this long.

DON'T GET FLORIDA HEALTH CARE PLANS INSURANCE!!!! I'd give a negative 12 stars if I could. I have a major surgery I need and they keep denying it saying it's experimental, even tried a different type of the same surgery. The surgery is NOT experimental and my doctor has the proof and has been battling with them about it for 4 months now. They do not care that I am in pain 24/7 needing this major surgery. They only care about the money. Go else where!!!!!! I can't switch insurances either until open enrollment at the end of the year. Horrible company.
