Payment System is awful.

FCG will charge to make a payment by phone or internet.
I would have given no stars if I could.
I WISH I COULD USE ANOTHER GAS COMPANY BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE.

The people at Florida City Gas have zero customer service skills. If they weren t the only game in town I would never do business with them. Once service is set up you are ok but I hate their employees. I was calling to set up new service and was hung up on. My issues with Florida City Gas have mostly been in the past but as I said I was hung up on while setting up new set. I called back and got Mabel on the phone. She was polite and helpful, very efficient in setting the account up. Thank you Mabel. You are a bright spot in the darkness called Florida City Gas. If not for Mabel they would get 1 star!

Florida City Gas has the worse customer service! I spoke with numerous reps who were incompetent and specifically Sabien who called numerous times to get the same information. I pay my bill monthly by automatic bill pay and it is never late. For some reason my March bill was not reflecting on my April statement. I called in and Sabien was my rep. I advised it was paid and he could not see the payment. I conferenced my bank representative and he provided the check number and confirmed the check was cashed by Florida city Gas. The bank rep answered all questions offered to fax a copy of the canceled check but Florida City Gas does not have a fax number. I requested they mail me a copy for my records and we ended the call

Sabien called the next day asking the same questions and check number that was previously provided. Also was advising they would not credit my account or remove the $5 late fee. This went on for a week and I spoke with other reps and no one had any answers. All they kept saying was they didn t have the payment even after the bank verified they cashed the check. It was utterly ridiculous!

When the check arrived I emailed it to a manager. Anna. After a few days it was finally resolved and they tried not to explain. Come to find out Florida City Gas applied my funds elsewhere by mistake! They harassed me and wasted hours of my time and they were at fault. If there was an alternative company I would not use their service. I know mistakes can happen but the unprofessionalism and lack of trying to understand or resolve the problem was awful. They need to have competent people on those phones with problem solving skills!

Horrible company. It was a nightmare to speak with them over the course of three days to have our gas turned back on. After THEY turned it off without notifying us in the mail or via email because they wanted to replace the meter and we weren't home. I cannot wait to get rid of them. Customer service is atrocious. I spoke to several representatives and each one had something to different to say. Needless to say, that we had to go THREE days without hot water or gas, and I had to open another account because they couldn't assist with changing the name on the account from my late grandfather to myself. BUT they had no problem taking payment for TWELVE years!

I gave them 1 star because there us no way I can give them 0 stars, they came by my house about 1 month ago, left me a note that they needed to do a routine meter check, to call to schedule an appointment, which I immediately did. I set the appointment for the following Tuesday between 8 and 12, they showed up again on Monday and left me another note. I called back to tell them the appointment was for the next day, I was told I was going to be charged 20 dollars because I was not home, I ask to speak with a supervisor who told me she was going to check the phone call and she call me 2 hours later stating I was correct. She never called me back, all of the sudden last Saturday they they. Came change the meter and locked my gas stating that my gas water heater was not properly installed, the water heater has been there for 16 years. Been without hot water for 4 days and counting. Horrible bcompany.However, there are always some good employees and I was assisted by Monserrat who did an outstanding job in assisting me and she sent another outstanding employee who came within a couple of hours and immediately removed the lock from my meter. You have to give credit where credit is do. Because if them I m editing my review to 3 stars

Difficult payment website...sometimes it just won't let you log in. When you do, you'll fund out that when you want to pay your bill electronically you are actually charged to do so. Really. A fee to pay the utility company! Yes, a fee to pay your bill! WHERE ARE YOU FLORIDA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION? I have postage stamps primarily to be able to pay Florida City Gas by mail.

The best utility service ever!! The customer service is top-notch, the gas service never goes out in a storm like the cable, internet, landline and electricity. And the rates can not be beat. Some are afraid of natural gas because of safety concerns, I ve had gas through Florida City and I have had only great results. Every three years, an inspector comes out to inspect the meter and gas lines to the gone. James came out to inspect today and he answered my questions about safety and gave my equipment his seal of approval. Natural Gas cooks fast, is available to warm water and cook with even during electrical outages. Thanks Florida City Gas, you are number one.

This company is incredibly disorganized. I thought Comcast was bad. No issues turning our service off for maintenance, but now claiming we have to wait a week to turn it back on... so no heat, no hot water, and no cooking for a week... because they suck at scheduling.
