I have never been treated so poorly by any type of business, let alone the OWNERS of this facility.

We had booked the facility for a birthday party from 3pm-4:45pm. My wife left a message that week to confirm everything, but did not receive a phone call back. On your website, it shows that you have classes on Saturdays so we arrived at 2:30 to bring in the food, some balloons, etc to decorate modestly. No one was at the gym, so we called and left a couple of messages to see when we would be able to get in. At 2:45pm, we started to panic as there was still no one there and no one was picking up the phone. My wife even called a local community center to see if we could get in there to use a room last minute.

Finally, Sue arrived at 2:50pm, and let us in. I said that we were expecting to be able to come in before the scheduled time to set up, and came back in an abrasive tone with "the kids will be in the gym for the first hour, you'll have lots of time to setup". Our dialogue went back and forth, as I mentioned that we wanted to have balloons out near the door so the kids knew they were walking into a birthday party, essentially making it special. What I got back was a "whatever" and she turned and walked away. I was quite frankly blown away by this as your customer and possibly a future customer, with many possible customers coming through the door for the party.

I don't know if Sue was in a bad mood that day, or if something had happened in the morning. I understand we all have bad days, but this kind of behaviour to anyone, let alone customers, is inexcusable to say the least. I would have fired my employee on the spot if I had seen that.

We did not receive any kind of apology, not even a response to this email we sent three times.

Avoid this place for your child's birthday party, or any type of activity...not worth it.

I have had two daughters train at Flip City over the years. They have trained competitively in T&T and Artistic for years. The program has consistently gotten stronger as the years have gone by to where it is today. Flip City has invested a lot of money in its coaches in the past few years and its starting to pay off in results. Both the recreational and competitive programs have come a long way and compare very well with any gymnastics program in BC. It is community run (by the parents) and has no profit motivation. All the money is invested back into the gym and the programs.

I took my daughters here for a summer camp: stinky, rude staff, my youngest started crying! The community centre gymnastics place is wayyy nicer. At Flip City, the staff are mean, parking is non-existent, and it smells so terrible! Never going here again.

My son has been training at Flip City in the competitive trampoline and tumbling program for several years now. The coaches and athletes have always been good with him. He just joined the new Acro class, taught by Adam Menzies, and is having a lot of fun! Great exercise for the kids!

I like the set-up, that as a parent you can watch your child from a balcony with seating. My mistake, I informed them that my daughter would not be continuing a month in advance as per their requirements, but then I deleted the email. They graciously searched through their emails to find it and reimbursed me. This effort and honesty scores big time with me. But learn from me and keep proof of things. It's just smart because mistakes happen. It may have just been my daughter's class at the time, but it seemed too large for quality instruction.
