Let s start with the positive. The staff are mostly excellent and very attentive. The drinks are excellent (worth being all inclusive) and the rooms are mostly modern and spacious.
Firstly we were not allowed in the resort to see how it was, we were turned away. We decided to book it anyway, we had a long queue to check in (about 30 mins). The WiFi is really slow unless you pay for the premium service and even surfing the internet was a challenge. The bathrooms are big, but the shower curtain is even bigger, it s almost impossible to get a shower without showering with the curtain or making the bathroom wet.
The queue for the restaurants is huge and long and when you get in the food is average at best.
There are literally no vegetarian options, so stay away if you don t eat meat.
We went to reception for a towel to sunbathe, and twice there was none available. There are also not enough sun beds, so if you are not up at 6am expect to be disappointed. When I asked reception to help they said there was nothing to do to remove the flip flop that was covering 2 beds to give me some space.
The staff are nice, but the property is mostly reconditioned 90 s motel. Go there for the drinks, otherwise don t bother.

This is a family resort not a honeymoon destination. There seem to be more children than adults and they do not stay in the children's area. The honeymoon suite was a bit of a disappointment. The room is nice and well kept but its on the ground floor and feels like a cave. For the amount we paid we expected to at least be able to see the ocean but instead our balcony has a view of a waist high wall a few small bushes for an attempt at privacy and anyone's feet who may walk by. There is a his and her shower but only one gets warm. The food is good but the other places we have stayed the food was exceptional. Their covid protocols are implemented very well and the grounds are well kept. Overall a nice place with immediate access to the beach but we were pretty disappointed that we won't get to enjoy a beautiful sunset in the privacy of our honeymoon suite.

I appreciate the attempt at justifying the honeymoon suite being on the ground floor, but trust me anyone would prefer a second or third floor view over a wall and people's ankles. The curtains must be drawn at all times or people can see into the room. On no instance has a ground floor room ever been more private than any upper floor. Not to mention that both of the suites above us had 2 balconies instead of one. One looking at the ocean and the second at the pool. My point is if you're having your honeymoon at this margaritaville then get the ocean view suite NOT the honeymoon suite.

There was a smell around the pool deck that was unpleasant when you walked by the grates. If that could improve that would be nice but was not anything that would keep us from coming back. The ground floor rooms were a little musty but to be expected so close to the beach and low lying.

It's a wonderful place to enjoy your holiday or vacation. Private beach, well almost private. Greatest location, perfect sandy beach.
The room that I stayed was perfect. Large and roomy. The restaurants were a delight. Our server Jamie at the italian restaurant went above and beyond the normal expectations.
The resection guys were outstanding, better attention I couldn't receive.
It's great for families or solo person.

We photographed a wedding here a few years ago and it was a fantastic experience. The bridal suite was an amazing space with room and more for all of the couples guests to gather and have space to relax while getting their hair and makeup done. The property itself was absolutely stunning and the beach was perfect for the oceanside ceremony. We can't wait to photograph here again!

Took my elderly mom on vacation. The staff was amazing. Helpful at every turn. The resort rooms were beautiful. We purchased an all inclusive. It was worth the money.

Just wasn't what I thought, over all nice weather beautiful views. They charge for every little thing. Manger was nice. I had to talk to him a time or two had bugs in both rooms I stayed in, but they took care of them thanks Margaritaville costa rica

If I could give them zero stars I would give them zero stars. Even though you put the sign on the door for no housekeeping the housekeeper will still come in. Housekeeping came in despite me having the sign on the door to not come in she obviously started cleaning my room until she got to a fanny pack that she went into and stole money out of while I was out riding Jetske s in the morning. I came back and noticed that my do not disturb sign was not on the door anymore. As soon as I walked in I saw that I was missing money. Don t bother calling the managers because they re not gonna do anything for you don t even call the police it s just a big waste of time. When you get a hotel room at a nice place like this you re also signing something that says they are not responsible for theft if someone robbed you in your room or otherwise. All they re gonna do is refer you to the police who are not gonna be able to do anything for you well after the fact of when the situation happened. The hotel could have offered to discount my rooms or comp my rooms but that would be asking for too much customer service obviously in light of the situation. So the end of this is gonna be me thanking this hotel for educating me on how unsafe even the nicest looking places to stay are. I came here because I thought I would have better security and it s not. Anyone reading this Should take what I say into consideration when traveling to these nice resorts your stuff is not safe and it is on you to protect your valuables.
