I can not express how rude many of these employees are. No matter how long you wait or politely ask, the seem the do as little as they possibly can. They also make you feel like what you ask for is an inconvenience. Don t bother complaining to the director. Same poor attitude. Go to the branch on galloping hill. They treat you with respect and as if they care about your experience. The only good part here is that the lifeguards are kind.

This YMCA is quite good for a local location and the free classes are great. Check-in is normally quick and easy. This location is a little small but has a good amount of resources for its size. The pool is 5 feet deep at its deepest but is well kept. Locker rooms are rather spacious, include a sauna, 3 showers and 3 bathroom stalls. In the fitness room, some of the treadmills are missing a function like the course visuals or incline but most machines are fully operational and well kept.

Rachael the receptionist is super unprofessional and rude. Every answer that she gave was rude and you can tell she hates her job. I came in to ask for information regarding the swimming classes. After my experience at this location I decided to join Rahway branch. Great staff over there!

The swimming pool often closes with no advance notification. We have been members for over a year and I used the facility mostly over the weekend to get the kids opportunities to swim besides their swimming lessons. The pool has closed for 3 out of my last 6 visits for random reasons. For two times, including today, it was because they don't have life guards on sites. Knowing that they are not very reliable, I even called before I leave today to make sure that the pool is open. Sure even, when we arrived one hour later, a piece of paper was stick on the glass door saying that the pool would be closed for the rest of the day. When asked, the staff confirmed that the pool was open earlier and then due to a lack of life guards, the pool got closed. This is not the first time!!! This place clearly needs better management and a more caring and capable director who can hire responsible staffs and make sure that their facility can at least stay open to serve the community! Not worth the troubles. Look for other options if your goal is to use the pool

The camp director that was pregnant last year was amazing. She was very helpful and my children loved her! As a working parent these are the people who you want to be supervising a program your children are in. I hope to see her this summer!

My 14 month old goes to swimming classes. Honestly, we are disappointed. I am comparing with the classes my baby took in another place in Brooklyn. It is a 30 min class of which the babies spend 15 min chasing a rubber duck. It is a great exercise, except way too long. Other 10 min you are listening to a conversation the instructor has with another parent. Needless to say it's not related to the classes. The rest 5 min we jump to the pool and sing 2 songs. I'm regretting we signed up here.

Everyone here is like family. Best summer camp experience for my 3 children ages 15, 12 and 6. Im greatful for their Financial Assistance program. Thru the years all my children learned to swim here including my 5 year old. They had vocal lessons in the past and now offer private piano lessons. This facility has something for every age. Great for family, offers a lot, beautiful community and great people both staff and members.

Had an issue with my account, called and spoke with the front desk staff, who was a little snappy and not very helpful. I called a few weeks later and got a much nice woman, who transferred me to their director, Jessica. Jessica was very friendly and resolved my issue immediately . Thank you Jessica!

Honestly, don't take your business here; especially your children to their daycare/summer camp! I can't describe to you how reckless the majority of the people working here are. The front desk has the rudest people "working," making people feel like a bother when they first walk in. In the daycare, they hire people who will/have been too preoccupied on their phones, to take care of the children who need them! The summer camp is by far the worst, unorganized disaster I've seen pulling up to the parking lot. Once they lost 2 children "by accident" OUTSIDE in the busy street. No way can I not leave a review on this place. Highly advised into looking at another YMCA location, because this one is only tarnishing the brand of YMCA and what it represents.
