They had a fire so we bought smores stuff and there room was nice.
They had a fire so we bought smores stuff and there room was nice.
Walls were really dirty nice decor just could have been cleaner!!
Wonderful rooms and wonderful scenery and great service!
Friendly, accommodating staff. Nice, convenient location - walk to Starbucks, restaurants, stores while being very close to key ski areas. Food selection and quality is quite good as well.
I stay here couple weeks a month. They know my name:). Place is nice with really good customer service. I will continue to stay for my business trips. I do wish the AC worked better.
One of the better suites I have stayed. The rooms were clean and well lit. Service was good, and breakfast refreshingly had options that were both healthy and tasty.
Great location near freeway access. Quiet rooms. Breakfast included hot options like eggs, sausage, pancakes, wagfles, and oatmeal. There was also Pepsi products for those of us who like their caffeine cold with bubbles. Maintenance staff was quick to respond to our minor issues. Kim wa accommodating when we called for an early check in with specific room requirements.
Very clean rooms with a healthy tasty breakfast in the morning!
I am chemical sensitive (MAJOR) and Emily went ABOVE and beyond to help me! This was the 1st place I was able to enter without issues !! Thank you so much and Emily was SO Nice and sweet!! 1st Marriott person to make this happen for me!!
A wonderful place to stay. We will be spending nine weekends here through the fall. Beautiful clean rooms, a fantastic breakfast, nice pool and grounds and the rate is reasonable. Glad we found this place!
Absolutely incredible place. It covers all my expectations and more. I have been a long time Hilton member but now looking harder at Mariott. Well done!!!
Excellent hotel with nice clean rooms studio and suites. Staff is very friendly rooms as clean with full kitchens. Breakfast is served daily. I always stay here when I visit Cottonwood Wood
Good breakfast, room service, and friendly front desk.
Easy access to skiing at Alta, Snowbird, and Brighton. The hotel provides a shuttle to a public bus service to the mountains and is walking distance to a second bus stop. The hotel is fairly priced, has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and gym. It's walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Included, but average, continental breakfast. The hotel also had very good staff.
Staff is friendly however rooms are a little out dated
Clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff, heated outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, decent exercise equipment, beautiful mountain views
Room was not very clean. There was a layer of dust on the top shelf in the bathroom, hair in the shower, hair in the fridge, coffee rings on the counter. I accidently spilled a drink in the kitchen, when I wiped it up the paper towel was black from how dirty the floor was. The microwave had a layer of grime on the buttons. The fireplace didnt work and the PURE air filter sounded like it was going to explode. 1st day of breakfast was gross, cold and nasty. Other 2 days were ok, nothing special. Most of the staff was good. Kind and accommodating, but I thought it was weird that everytime we walked up they stay behind the 2nd desk and look at us like "can I help you?" Also there was one girl with blondish/pink/purple hair who had a way of being nice yet condescending. Like I asked for extra pillows and and she says "yes we can get you some but we need to get them out of storage." I'm thinking, um ok, so get them, you dont need to tell me where they are coming from, like that will change my mind. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
Excellent and friendly staff. Flexible and very helpful. Would definitely come back.
All I wanted was no feather pillows. They forced an upgrade to a "pure room" which was over $50/night more than the rate I booked. Bait and switch. Not coming back.
Even though there's a bazillion Marriott's here .they all shine like a diamond
Nice place to stay. Clean rooms. Nice layout. Friendly staff. Would stay again
Amazing views of the mountain ridges from the hotel. Breakfast was great with wide variety of food. Rooms were sparking clean. Hot tub after a great day of skiing and snowboarding was very useful. Outdoor pool was refreshing as well. Great hotel!
Love the fact that they help out Veterans with all sorts of activities.
Location is great, rooms are well equipped, staff is very pleasant. Parts of the facilities would benefit from some updating or refreshing but overall it's a very nice spot and one I would definitely use for future visits to the area.
After checking in i was told my room was to the left I went left and walked all around the hotel looking for my room. Went back to the front desk where they actually spent the time to tell me I'm actually in a different building and will have to walk accross the property outside to get to it. Put in a room in a separate building despite my objections, must walk outside to get to breakfast and lobby. This is salt lake city so its freezing outside and wet. This would be a good design for California but it sucks for salt lake city. I dont want to go outside to get a continental breakfast or to get to the gym. After the gym I have to walk outside in the freezing cold sweaty. I asked to be moved but was denied. Marriott Bonvoyed me again! Theres a hyatt right next door where you wont get bonvoyed like this
Hands down one of the best stays I've had in a hotel. Extremely clean. Very pleasant staff. The best continental breakfast I've had at any hotel of this type. Loved the views!
Tip: If you stay, try Bandits for dinner. A short walk, but well worth it.
OUR ONE FREE NIGHT WAS WASTED BECAUSE WE WERE CHARGED MORE THAN WHAT THE WRITTEN RESERVATION WAS MADE FOR. THE HOTEL MGR. NEVER RETURNED OUR WRITTEN COMPLAINT; AND NOW WE'VE LOST ALL OUR POINTS, PLUS THE ADDL. $100 SO CALLED PET FEE. RESEV. REQ. DOCUMENTED A $25 PET FEE WHICH WAS REASONABLE FOR A 7LB TRAINED DOG. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER LODGING HOTELS THAT CAN PROVIDE QUALITY SERVICE.
I have stayed at Residence Inn twice for business trips. The rooms are nice and clean and very spacious. The last time I stayed I had a wonderful view of the mountains. The hotel staff at the front desk were friendly too! The hotel is in approximation to a few restaurants which were pretty good. Though I didn't eat breakfast in the morning, they have a nice large sitting area for the guests and also had offered a social evening with appetizers which I thought was a nice touch.
It was very nice suit with nice breakfast and everything else
Front desk was warm, friendly and informative. The dry cleaning services were prompt. And the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious!
Service was great. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious for the price. Breakfast was surprisingly good considering that it is complimentary. The biggest downside was how loud the rooms are. You can hear everything going on in the hallway even with the door closed and occasionally you will hear footsteps and such from the rooms above you. Overall a nice place.
Excellent. Room is clean. Building well maintained.
Not usually a fan of the Residence inn properties, but this one exceeded expectations.
Truly an amazing place to stay. They have worked with me through my highmaintence allergy requests with a smile and no hesitation. I would stay here time and time again! Thank you everyone!
Great place. I am having to stay here due to waiting for a heart transplant. The staff are knowledgeable of local events, they are kind and very caring. They take the time to get to know a person in first name based. I would recommend them everytime.
great location and great eating places near.....mountains are so close too
The room was nice and clean. The suite had a full size fridge, dishes, and silverware which came in handy.
Very nice rooms. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly m
Great location, clean hotel, good breakfast. Our only complaint is that the bedrooms were quite small and cramped.
Awesome facility and staff. Great networking events for guests. Very good skiing and surrounding dining and shopping.
Friendly staff. Beautiful atmosphere. Close to major shopping and dining
Good location for skiing. Frequently has reasonable rates. Staff was a bit flaky on most recent visit.
I usually stay here to ski Cottonwood Canton resorts (Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, and Brighton) as it's very conveniently located at the mouse of canyons. And this Marriott is VERY WELL RUN. Employees, anyone from front desk to housekeeping to those serving breakfast, are genuinely nice. You really feel they are actually happy working there and taking care of guests. The manager I usually see, Alan Jacobson, is very hands-on, and he must be playing no small part in setting the great culture at the hotel.
Their breakfast is very hearty (self made waffle stations every morning... yum!), and on weekday nights, they offer at the lobby hall "light snack" which easily suffice as a modest dinner, with complementary beer and wine! Some of the sweets/desserts, as I was told, are actually cooked by hotel staff with her own recipe! How family like is that?
I've stayed there with friends and also with family for multiple times per season for years. Highly recommended, and the hotel folks, please keep up the great work!
Stayed 3 nights, comfortable and clean. Transportation a bit difficult to SLC proper.
clean room, nice amenities, great breakfast selection, friendly staff
Highly recommended the breakfast is over the top and great and the rooms are clean. Stayed here one night very quit and peacful. very kid and pet friendly. Nice Italian restaurant a cross the street . Food was great. This is a vacation spot if your a traveler. Place was recommended from a friend as the very best in this area.
Relatively updated and spacious rooms with a workable kitchen. Would be a good place to stay off you plan to grocery shop and at least cook some of your meals. Also had an OK breakfast with a few hot items including eggs and oatmeal.
Convenient to major roads, quick drive to Park City & other destinations. Room was nicely set up, & kitchenette, desk area very conducive to a bus sea trip or longer stay.
Great place pressed into the mountains. I was there briefly to relax with my boyfriend and they made it easy
All around great place to stay. Clean room, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Amber, in particular, went the extra mile to make our stay outstanding.
Appartements are very cosy and well equipped.
Can be a bit noisy with the AC and the fridge.
Breakfast is good as well and you can get free drinks on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Staff is always nice and helpful
We stayed here for one night while passing through Utah on vacation. This place was pretty nice. The rooms are large and clean. The beds were comfortable. There was even an outdoor grill in the common area. Our suite even had a full kitchen.
What a nice hotel!
Close to Alta Mountain , where we skied. Room was spacious and cozy, bed was comfortable, kitchenette we did not use, but its great option for those who want to cook in. They have outdoors pool and hot tub, which was always crowded but we went later at night, after 9pm and it was good.
Social hour on Monday was a nice touch, wine, beer, snacks, very relaxing :)
The breakfast was the best out of 3 hotels we stayed in on our trip, although I am spoiled by European breakfast offerings with freshly baked croissants, cheese variety, cold cuts, etc :) Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs (Not always hot), DIY waffles, yogurt ( take one with granola in it, good), sausage (not my fav), fruits, you will not leave hungry.
Overall, enjoyed out stay!
Nice accommodations....would have
appreciated a veteran or senior discount
but none were available!
Beautiful suite with stove and dishwasher. Very comfortable bed and a nice shower, though the shower curtain didn't reach all the way across.
Friendly, helpful staff, clean large rooms, beautiful views. What's not to like?
I expect much more from a Marriott...room doesn't smell pleasant, the outdoor trash is overflowing. Just not what you come to expect from a Marriott.
Very nice facility. Great staff. Wish there was an indoor pool. But at least the hot tub is available for use year round.
It was a pretty average hotel. Very clean, but oddly the shampoo bottle was empty. We had conditioner though. Service was friendly, if a little slow. The front desk lady was alone though. So it was understandable.
Ok stay, staff was not very attentive to my request to fix the leaky faucet that dripped all night long.
Clean, functional, and beautiful scenery with plenty of food and drink options nearby. Also there's a beautiful trail with a stream for a stroll.
We have stayed at this residence inn multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The rooms are clean and updated. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. One of the more relaxing place to stay in the city.
Great place to stay - clean, comfortable room, nice facility, a complementary hot breakfast bar, and friendly staff. Nearby restaurants and a coffee shop round out the offerings.
This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The rooms are amazing and have a stove and garbage disposal. 5 stars!
We are staying in a suite at this hotel, a very nice room with a good space in its main area. The dining area for breakfast was a little claustrophobic but good service. Nice staff and overall very decent stay so far.
The accommodations at the Residence Inn in Cottonwood Heights are clean, functional, and welcoming. We have found the staff to be friendly, and helpful. There's manager's reception events most nights of the week, each with a different theme, and good breakfasts at no additional cost.
The rooms were nice and felt like a comfy little apartment and the grounds were very well maintained. Wouldn't mind spending a night there.
Great location, hotel was very nice and quiet for Christmas morning! Plenty of parking available on site
Always a solid hotel. Stay here regularly for work and have never had any issues.
