The food was delicious and their service is outstanding!
9/19/2020 We were going out and changed our mind and went to the fish company. After a very long wait to get in. My wife had the crab which was good. I had a New York steak that wasn't even seasoned was overcooked and not a very good steak. If your not going to do it right you should just take the steaks off the menu. The grilled vegtables tasted like spoiled or burnt oil. The quality is not worth what they are charging.
Fish market has spoiled me. Can't eat grocery store bought fish anymore. Some nearby stores see fish I can smell from the moment I walk in. Fish should not smell if any in a properly maintained fish market. Now the grill cooking behind Fish Co.s market gives the fish smell I prefer.
As a side: had a minor issue with some fish I had just purchased. They were professional and took care of me. They have my business for life.
The Alaskan giant lobster plate with garlic mashed potatoes & Asparagus is of the hook. Not to mention the clam chowder (New England).Yeah 5 stars.
What a great dining experience here! The seafood was fresh and delicious.. Everything we had was fantastic.
Both the food and the service was great, and they have a market to take home something too.
O F C is and has been consistent for seafood over the last 20 yrs for my wife and I . There are many selections of seafood and sides , all good , enjoy .
Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Can be very crowded.
Best seafood restaurant I have ever been to. They always have great salmon choices and the clam chowder is over the top. If you are lucky, they just might be serving the creamy asparagus bisque! Top notch wait staff!
Classic, can't go wrong. The table bread sets the tone tone. Food never disappoints and service is good. Ample Parking and efficient seating.
Omg this place was worth the drive. Seafood is often overcooked or over seasoned. The food here was perfect and the desert omg can we talk about the perfect combination of warm chocolate cake with peanut butter ice cream
Celebrated dinner at the Fish Company on my Birthday March the 7th!
Great Service, friendly atmosphere and Wonderful tasting Fish and Shrimp!
This is a historic Fish Restaurant located off Katella, parking free and handicapped friendly. We had very short wait, less than 3 minutes. Not enough time to ask about the taffy next to register. Will have to come back and ask questions. As you are escorted to table you can view fresh seafood encased behind glass on ice. My eyes caught the King Crab Legs. Multiple fish choices available. We walked by open bar area. Seating comfortable. Our Waitress was Mariah, absolutely beautiful, brite smile and cheerful greeting, explained the Sunday Brunch favourites. The Menu offered seafood dishes / main courses and appetizers and eggs. You can only get these on Sunday brunch menu. EGGS Not available on any other days. We ordered Salmon frittata, King Crab legs (1lb). Dinner salad to share. Our bus boy Ben was attentive, bringing us straws, upon request. And of course fresh baked sourdough rolls. Mariah also told us about the renovation, which was 3 years ago. The Ambiance is classy, Ocean front with high end lighting and decor. Men and Women's restroom located close to dining, handicap accessible. Very clean and many stalls available, no waiting. Our meal was Michelin if that exists. 5 star if that is available. Staff, food really impressive. Family friendly, romantic, entertaining if single, relaxing for others. You cant ask for a better dining experience / HATS OFF to CHEFS. Congratulation to Owners and Management creating this Pearl of a Restaurant. Dont hesitant and get to the Original Fish Co. You will spread the word quickly, just how wonderful your experience was. Make Life Memories here!!
30 mins after ordering was informed they ran out of mahi mahi . Had the bass instead. Was good. Above average food, slow service.
The restaurant is actually next door. It's a spin off, smaller venue but still the GREAT quality as the signiture Original Fish Company. Smaller selection, perfect for happy hour time. Full bar with a few tables. Very cozy and not loud.
Can not be beat, my place to go, food and service outstanding
always treated promptly and with respect , clam chowder is the best with a piece of sourdough bread bomb
The food was ok and fresh for the most part. However, this is the only restaurant that I know to charge for hot water.
Amazing. World famous new England clam chowder. Best I have had from east coast to west coast.
Great food, best steaks and seafood therefore I recommend the Surf & Turf $$$$ but its worth it !! Stop in for the best dining and service. Dress business casual so you don't feel out of place.
Been coming here for about 30 years. While I've seen some changes, it still offers a wide selection of fresh seafood. They've expanded within their original building along with the patio dining. Always good service.
The best lobster bisque ever. The crab cakes are delicious too.
Packed and popular! They do quite a turnover, so expect fast efficient service. The entrees were good! Didn't understand the fuss.
The clam chowder was very good! The tuna melt, that's something that I could've made at home. Fudge chocolate cake, it was ok, not enough HOT fudge. Next time I'll have to take pictures. I'm new at this.
Excelente cualitty delicius dishes im love this Restaurant great service
Always consistently great quality. It may have been done a while ago, but if you have not been here since the remodel, it's definitely worth another visit. The restaurant feels much more open and inviting. The service counter for fresh fish is presented much nicer than before.
Excellent food. No reservations under 8 people but we found space in the bar area!
Great food, okay service. There was a fly buzzing around the restaurant area and getting our food for a group of six took over an hour and a half, while eating took less than half an hour
I always enjoy eating at this place, food ambiance is excellent.
Food not hot enough very noisy for a couple. Clam chowder is the best
Fantastic restaurant, love sitting at the bar. Great ambiance, food, and service. I ve never been disappointed with a meal here. Lots of seafood options and preparations to choose from.
Crab was good, sweet potatoe was over cooked, half of my cooked veggies were cooked well the other half waaaay over cooked. I would go back but not in any rush.
Best Clam Chowder anywhere & I have been everywhere.
The clam chowder, shrimp & scallops skewers, linguini with clams, lobster Mac and cheese, everything on the table cooked to perfection...there was no complaints at our table. Completely and fully satisfied. Our family came to eat here for my mom's birthday dinner. Would recommend this place to everyone. Great service. Great food. Great time.
I love this restaurant! It's classy atmosphere, excellent service and amazing food make it a true joy to eat here. It's pricey but worth it if you want an absolutely delicious meal. It's a definite go to for me for special occasions. Must have the clam chowder! I don't like clam chowder but I love theirs. Enjoy!
Omgosh!! So good. Great service, friendly, fast and food was so good. I definitely recommend.
Great experience every time! The food is delicious, and the clam chowder, is the best ive ever had.
Nice friendly staff great atmosphere. The best homemade Clam chowder(put all others to shame). They have a vast selection of fresh seafood. Very good food.
Coming here for years. Manhattan Clam Chowder is a must. All the seafood is very fresh and love their tartar sauce. Things to buy at their market to take home and share (or don't share). The Chowder and the tartar sauce. Now that I live in Texas I always stop by here to bring home some favorites!
Great service. The food was pretty good. I'm originally a New England girl...the "New England" chowder could use some work, thus only four stars!
Very comfortable atmosphere.
Our waitress, Hope, was very pleasant to talk to, understanding and productive! Complimentary Bread Basket, was fresh every time. Tropical Tea was very refreshing. Crab Cakes, Fish and Chips and Filet Mignon were delicious. Patio was relaxing. Although they did provide safety precautions for COVID-19, for one hour it felt like the good old days! Going back very soon!
Good, tasty food but if its your first time, ignore the menu on the board at the driveway if your dining in.
There was a bad smell in the restaurant, also, the food and wine were OK, but not worth the $98.00 price tag for two. We ate in New York a few days ago and paid $168.00 without wine and it was worth it! Using that experience as comparison, value for the dollar was sub standard at the Fish Company. We will not return. Final comment, the hostess indicated that a server would take drink orders, but I had to chase after the server, yet the hostess offered other customers drinks upon signing in.
PS> We had a bottle of Robert Mendavi in honor of his passing last week, but the Mendavi choices were very very very limited!
Great chowder! Crab cakes and lobster Mac and cheese were among favorites.
The food here, was off the hook! Litteraly the fish (mahi, mahi) and the jumbo wild Mexican shrimp where so fresh it seemed they just unhooked it from the fishing pole. Service was great nice atmosphere. Will do again.
Very delicious! Service was superb! A little pricey but you definitely pay for quality. Stopped by just before dinner around 4:00 on a Saturday after that gets really busy.
Bartender not nice. Christmas eve, clearly she didn't want to be there. Not my problem...I left after 1 glass of wine.
This is one of the restaurant in the area. I am a bi g with their clam chowder. The food was fresh and really good and was worth it.
Always very fresh seafood and excellent Caesar salad... add the grilled shrimp... when the restaurant is packed head to the bar area and grab a booth. Very quick service
The dining environment was packed and hot. But the real problem was the food. The food seriously lacked freshness. The clam chowder was fine, the steamed clams and mussels were borderline okay. The lobster tail was not fresh...but of course, it was frozen from Australia. Ok, I understand. The crab legs, it was frozen from Alaska. Jumbo shrimp, frozen from Mexico. I didn't want to know where was the fish of my Fish n' Chip from as I watched it dripping grease...
Monk fish is like lobster... We had 11 people and they were very slow.
The New England Clam Chowder is fantastic. The bread is delightful. Unfortunately, the fish was only adequate, my pasta side dish was overcooked and mushy. It's not inexpensive. There is frequently a wait because they have a good history, following and reputation. We won't bother and next time, we'll get the chowder to go from the adjoining fish market.
Great night with the babe's.
Swordfish, pine nuts and capers.. Hello !!
Babe's had the Halibut Amandine. Yuuum! Of course we shared.. Delish...delish.. Last and definitely not the least, our server... what a cutie pie, greatest personality and sooooo attentive....Keep up the AWESOME work Kayla Keoni Herrera you da bomb girlie... Much Love!! Jess and Ang... your regulars on date night...
One of us ordered a bread bowl and we weren't told they were out till all the food was served. It took us two attempts to get our water refilled. It took us two attempts to get extra bread. This place is going downhill! I used to enjoy dining at this nice cozy atmosphere. I remember their humble beginnings back in the 80's. I guess they're not too humble anymore.
Loved the Captains Platter. Very flavorful. It was a beautiful night to dine out outside.
Went for lunch and soup is not included with an entree. Food was good. Next time will come for dinner.
Small portions and expensive dishes. You pay for ambient and fine dinning experience.
