I called to close my mortgage On my house and to check how much is the penalty they told me around 14500$ the penalty , a month after my notary contact them after I soltmy house to pay the penalty and was surprised that they charge me 24500$ penalty instead of 14500$, I did ask them how did they calculate the penalty and been over 2 months waiting to send me a letter how they calculate it and till now didn t receive anything , so I decided to take them to the court and will never deal wit first line mortgage ( owned by CIBC bank) anymore .

Gov of Canada dropped rates by .05 but Firstline only dropped rates by .015. GREEDY

My important call has now gone 71 minutes without answer... not sure if someone will pick up...

If i could give - 1,000,000 stars i would. It makes about 8 months that ive been trying to get a simple transaction statement to provide my insurance company. They have been ducking my calls all this time. This has resulted in me paying over 10k in late fees and guess what? THEY ARE STILL GHOSTING so i hired a lawyer. Avoid this company at all cost. If you enjoy the - 0.5% compared to other financial institutions to take it hard up the A$$. This is the company for you!

I emailed and asked for a name and extension of someone to ask a question of. I was told ( by email) email is not a secure way to communicate. I phoned and was on hold for over an hour. Still no answer.
