Dear Lord, DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLY MANAGED "PROGRAM"!!! So much to report and say but will try to stick with the highlights:
1. Medically managed detox- LIE! There is not ONE licensed staff member there, ever! With how dangerous detox can be, I was appalled, especially since the location of the place was a minimum of 30 minutes to the nearest medical facility! They're "licensed" staff consists of one LVN that is only at the detox house for a small portion of the day and is doing admin work, have never seen her even do a set of vital signs on a patient! There is an ARNP that comes once a week and sees the patients briefly at best! What your "medically managed" detox will consist of is 20 something year olds, some that are medical assistants (aka cannot do a thing unless working under a licensed nurse) or someone with a CPR and first aid card. Most of them were prior clients themselves with little sobriety time under their belts. Don't get me wrong, most of them are a sweet group of young women and men, but in a potential medical emergency, do you want someone nice or a licensed, experienced professional that will be able to spot an emergency and care for you properly?
2. WILDERNESS THERAPY- LIE! I did not go on one hike, or experience any kind of wilderness other than the confines of the houses! Definitely lead you on to think you are going to experience a bunch of outdoor activities, not true! Their "equine therapy" consists of going to a horse farm and riding around for 30 minutes maximum.
3. Organized, integrated care: What a joke! These people do not know their heads from their behinds! If you ask three different staff a simple question, you will get three different answers. They are so unorganized! How do they expect you to check in to a rehab and relax and recover when you don't even know which house you will be at the next day! Let alone who is responsible for setting up outpatient treatment, letters for insurance and work etc?!
I could go on and on, but please do yourself a favor and find another place to get the help you need!
