First Service Networks does not pay it's vendors

First Service Networks does not pay it's vendors
My husband was hired to perform handyman services at the local SLT Kmart Corporation at the end of October 2013, and we still have not received payment from them (less than $200)
The contact person for this was Kellie Ladnyk; at first, she seemed to be trying to help get us paid, but she is no longer responding to emails or telephone calls.
We tried contacting Kmart Corporation, but were rerouted to the Philippines, then cut off
Not sure how much effort we are willing to put in to collect such a small debt, but we feel Kmart should be aware of this

Signed up as vendor in 2010 under FM Facilities Maintenance. Wasn't good then and got worse when they came out with FSN. Always have to call for assistance with invoicing or quotes. Always and argument on pricing. Spend way too much time administratively with them when you can be helping someone else who enjoys you as a vendor. If your scrambling for work, go for it. If not, your wasting your time.

If you value your business and have a conscience, avoid this company at all costs. Their employees hate the company and constantly tell you that. They DO NOT pay their vendors. My company did $200,000 in a little over 3 months with them last year. Absolutely none of this was paid on time. The earliest we saw a check was 120 days late. Many of the invoices they just will not process. I can not even begin to type the full story here about the nightmare it has been to get paid by them for work that I paid good money to my hard working employees for.

Bottom line is that they are an awful group of people to work with. Contractors will get paid very little of what they bill out if any at all. If you are a facility manager I can assure you that no good service company will work for these people and if you use them the work you get will be junk. No good companies in my state will work for them.

They regularly do not pay their staff which is unconscionable and you will have a new account manager every week because the good people leave quickly.

FYI they have changed their company name 3 times because they get such a bad reputation. First Service Network, FM Facility Maintenance, Vixxo, etc) They will tell you it is because of marketing, acquisitions, etc... but if you want the full story, contact any contractor that has done work for them and they will give you the real story. 711 is the only company keeping them in business and you can easily google all of the issues that 711 franchisee association has had with them. I will not be surprised when they go out of business.

Ignore the sweet talk they bring to your door to get you on board. Once they have you for a large chunk of money their attitudes change.

Avoid this company like the plague.

They suck. They charge you when they call you to go out to a customer plus they charge the customer. I think somebody is making quite a profit. No I never signed a contract and they are taking money out of what they owe us, they're a rip off. They charge us 11percent then now they are taking money out for who knows what.

I am a glass contractor in North Dakota and also got stung by this company. We did $1400.00 of repair on a automatic handicap door back in April of 2014 @ a Kmart store. And to this day still have not got been paid. Their on line portal is a disaster. We contacted Kmart and gave them heads up on our situation and we were told that they are not using first network anymore. We have weeded out most national maintenance company's unless they pay by credit card as the job gets done not 45-120 days later. I would advice to stay far away from this company The next step is to turn it over to a collection agency.

I work here and it's true, we have trouble paying contractors as well as staff. Payroll tends to be late when holidays are on weekdays. We then get an e-mail from a CEO that we never meet saying sorry. But then our check hits the bank days later. The four star reviews on Indeed and Glassdoor are fake. Customer's come and go and employees come and go. If you file a complaint to human resources, you'll get fired.

If you are a contractor-AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!! We signed up as a subcontractor in December 2012. We get 2-3 calls a week from them, but there have only been 3 that were in our service area. Most of the calls are to run an emergency service call 300+ miles away and they will only pay $75 for the call. The few jobs we have done have been a nightmare to get paid. You have to process paperwork through their online portal. The portal will indicate everything was submitted properly, but then you will get an email indicating the paperwork was never submitted. This will drag on past the deadline to submit invoices, therefore they have an out in paying the contractor. I am now in the process of placing liens on the properties we worked on.

This is the most racist place I've ever worked at if your African-American don't waste time working here! If you speak up your labeled as trouble, they don't pay their contractors over dumb reasons no store manager signature no invoice no call in call out time. Don't sign up to do business with them you'll regret it!
