First Presbyterian Church Review

I live in Springfield VA and I feel a true sense of Worship. I apptended A Church in So Hollywood
Before I married an Air Force Chaplain, the late Chaplain M/gen Richard Carr. We joined National Pres. Following Dick's retirement. Your Church reminds me of the So. Hollywood Church. There is such a joy in the Lord, I am always uplifted. I have been watching through my recovery from two knee surgeries and now
I watch every Sunday, there are times I can't get the ustream to work.

Healthy church for all generations with both traditional high church service with full choir and organ, and contemporary service, too. Adult Bible study classes and children s Sunday school and plenty of parking on Weber St!

This morning 2/2/13 we were at Walmart on 8th street. As we were leaving we had to pass a 1st Pres bus, we watched him pull out and almost hit a car in the traffic lane. After waiting to see what he was going to do next, we went to pass, again he tried to pull out. He was so close to our car I honked believing he didn't see us, he gave us the finger. While we were waiting for a left turn signal they pulled up next to us and someone in the back of the bus got out of their seat to give us the finger again. Stay classy First Presbyterian!!

Wonderful place for worship, community, and service to those in need in our city. I really enjoy the choice of services where worship can be with a choir or with a praise band!

Fantastic people and services of love and truth. God, Jesus and Holy Spirit, shared and taught in all aspects in caring love. People enthusiastic and friendly! I have been enveloped with warmth and caring and wonderful teaching and encouragement in all my experiences here.

I am not a member of this church. However, I attended the Christmas service and a city wide worship night last night. Every one there was welcoming and friendly. The worship was fantastic, and the messages were spot on. The Christmas service was very crowded but it was not too overwhelming and they had people welcoming you through the door, which was very nice.

I am not a member of this church, but I have joined the MOPS group and enjoy the sisterhood and my kids love the kids classes.

Went to get help months ago when today asked if there were orthodox. The lady at the desk didnt know what she was and i was raised press well i live it tx went hppc in hilandpark tx dr.bell was there when i was a child and went for help and thought i was panhandling the church i was caught off with that comment so i didnt got to that church down town like said in the the bible you will know the times are close becuse of the turning away my friend james prattz pass last month he was Catholic they didnt help him when i brought him in to mairrian house for help they finly show up after he died and he didnt get his absolutetion in his believe system it sad that im William wallaous grand son i know it to be true of even my other bloodline robert blake landfair that was with mc aurthers father when co. Was just a thought thats whom i am an way

We called this place home for 3 years. An incredible ministry staff that can share the message of Christ and inspire you. We met so many friendly people and the range of services they offer are second to none. If you are looking for a spiritual home, look no further.

This is a big, bustling church with lots of programs and different styles of worship for all ages. Right now there is even a Thursday noon service, and the senior pastor has had a weekly Bible lunch discussion at Old Chicago's downtown. He'll even treat, but check schedule. My husband and I like a church that is in the heart of downtown, connected with other churches who are trying to bring God's Good News in word and actions. Our first visit a little over three years ago was positive with help offered at a reception desk, through greeters, and a hospitality center. A first-time visit may seem overwhelming, but there are many eager to help you. Check out the website; come visit and decide for yourself. P.S. I am sorry the review below mine ever happened. They act like your not there when they answer the phone!

We moved to Colorado Springs just before Thanksgiving 2014. Our son and his family gifted us with tickets for the lovely Christmas concert sponsored by First Pres downtown at the Pikes Peak Performing Arts Center. We had no idea what a marvelous gift that would be! We arrived early, and absolutely LOVED the many traditional Christmas carols, and the various music styles. We both agreed we had never heard such wonderful Christmas music in our lifetimes. We have continued to visit approximately eight different churches in Colorado Springs, but always seem to return to the downtown location of First Pres. The music absolutely "feeds our souls." Even though there is not presently a senior pastor on the staff, everyone who has been speaking on Sundays from the staff, as well as one guest speaker we heard from Fuller Theological Seminary in CA., have done an excellent job! We have felt very welcome in a totally new environment after living in Atlanta, GA.,
for the past 32 years. We also appreciate the long history of this Christian ministry located downtown
in the city of Colorado Springs, and reaching out to the community as "salt and light."
