First Models and Talent Agency Reviews

They had me pay $500 for a photoshoot then i didn't hear from them in months when i finally had to contact them to ask what happened to my photos. Then the photos were not edited and definitely should have not cost that much. Then they tell me I need to pay 1k to go to New York but I would have to also buy the plane ticket and food for a talent convention of sorts. At the end of the day this modeling agency ripped me off, sold me promises and wasn't communicating how they should be. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

My daughter signed with them a few years ago. Paid for the pictures with there photographer, paid to be on the website. A few months then a year go by heard nothing from theses people. Called them to just check in, she told me it was my responsibility to call them if my daughter wanted work. Last time I checked we signed a contract with you, for you to represent my daughter. My daughter was in the running for miss Texas and this company didn't care. They just wanted money. Her mom knows how this business goes.

Met back with her in Jan, she gave me hope to get signed and told me the only thing I needed was new pics and she gave me a photographer she wanted me to use (first issue). Tried to get back in touch with her and she has been ghost since then. She's here to take money not make money with you. This agency isn't even recognized on the SAG-AFTRA website so don't waste your time.

Colette and Gail are amazing! I have had such a great experience working with them, and the atmosphere is so positive. I have made many friends and had the opportunity to work a good amount in the area. I would definitely recommend them if you are wanting to work in this industry.

Let me set this straight for anyone seeking talent representation from any agency in the USA. Talent agencies are a legitimate income producing industry categorized by the US government just like any employment agency. I have been in professional theatre and film for 50 years and a member of 4 professional entertainment industries. I have had both agents and managers. The ONLY thing you need to know is that reputable talent agencies DO NOT charge anything up front, require talent take their classes, use their photographers, etc. If ANY agency requires any of the above, hit the door running as fast as you can. They are not what your are looking for. If you want to press them ask the following questions: 1) Are you SAG or AEA franchised? If no, leave.2) What actors from this area have you successfully cast in a national commercial or film in the past 12 months. Reputable agencies will love to brag on their talent, others will give excuses as to why they cannot reveal that information. If no results, leave. 3) What is your BBB (Better Business Bureau) rating and what complaints have you had within the past 36 months? Any complaints unresolved? You probably won't get this far if they are not reputable, but if they refuse to share this, you can check it on the internet. Please understand this is for information only and not a review or condemnation of this or any agency. Use this information to aid in making an informed decision whether this or any other agency is right for you.

First Models and Talent Agency has been so good to me and good for me. I've been with Colette for almost 4 years now. I started out on my own without an agency for about 2.5 years and that was fun but very hard to get reputable work. I have grown so much and have learned a great deal from my First Models family. They have given me so many opportunities to further my career. I've been in magazines, online print ads, international TV commercials, local commercials and the opportunities to collorborate with major brands like Nike. Looking forward to many more years to come with my First Models Family.

Colette was very helpful, when I met with her. She told me about the business, pictures, prices everything would cost. She s very kind and understanding knows a lot about the modeling business. Such a pleasure working with her. I would recommend this agency to everyone.

I've been with the agency for 7 years now, and I can honestly say that First Models has played a big part in helping me to become the most confident version of myself!
