first direct arena Review

Third time at this venue, and this time it was for Bill Bailey. Easy access in and out, nice and easy layout makes it easy to find seating, acoustics are great for concerts.

Really good venue.. Food and drinks are costly but expected.. Would go again!

Would not let me no stars... Establishment was busy but not for food I ordered mushroom Benedict apparently not available... The alternative is was offered vas " Poached eggs on toast... My order came with dry toast no butter pot under done cold slimmey eggs, inedible would certainly not recommend this place to anyone.

First Direct Arena ..is the place to go to for a very good show.
Just been to see Michael buble ..wonderful..nut hundreds there..and all out very quickly ..good

This purpose built concert arena is much better than an ice hockey arena for watching shows. Great views throughout the arena. Drinks are ridiculously expensive but that's the same at all these places. Also the toilet queues can be long. Good legroom in the seats. Overall a good venue.

Information is rubbish day like a lemon from 7.30 till 9 to see a show that was starting at 7.30. If you want a drink and want to pay cash you have look at signs as most of bars only take card. Show was good.

A fantastic Cribs gig at the arena. The layout is excellent and you feel immersed in the event

Not the best venue for the larger vehicle but a good venue.

Great acts but not a great atmosphere further up as people don't get up and dance.

A good view wherever you are seated , the experience is soured by the rip off prices of food & drink unfortunately!

Love this Arena, always have a good view no matter where you sit. Jane McDonald was fabulous.

Utterly wonderful place!! Saw the eagles. Brilliant. Apart from the silly woman in front of me jumping to her feet at every opportunity but I could still see.

A modern concert and exhibition centre. I've been here for several concerts. The acoustic and views are excellent. Beer (!) Usual concert prices but worth being a 1st direct banking customer :) security is good and a consideration these days :(
Access, parking and exiting is quick and efficient - bonus.

Went there on Saturday to see the Stereophonics. Think this is the best thing that has happened to Leeds. Have been there a few times and have enjoyed it every time.

Littlemix were amazing getting out of the carpark now thats gunna be another story!!!!

Great place to see artists/bands, not too big that you cant see. Have been on several occasions and enjoyed all the shows.

Great arena, big enough to host the biggest bands but not so big that you feel too far from the stage.

Went to watch Andrea Bocelli with my daughter,had a great evening, well organized, plenty of facilities, well recommend First Direct Arena !

Perfect size (3,500) for a City the size of Hull. As with all these types of arena it lacks any soul but does the job

First class treatment of my Wife with special seating requirements due to disability, super helpful via email too before coming to see Cher. Getting our seats relocated was really easy & stress free

Superb venue. Great sound! Very helpful staff. Great atmosphere. Easily accessible. Reasonably quick security. I'll definitely go more often.

Saw a Neil Diamond concert. Security tight but efficient, friendly and non obtrusive. Taxi system at end of show absolutely appallingly. No obvious system or taxi rank. Given 3 different locations by arena staff!

Easy access, good views and sound everywhere and quick exits.

Excellent venue however food and drinks pricey and your not allowed to take anything in. No bad seats. We saw impractical Jokers.. amazing show!!

Great venue for live music with plenty of amenities

Stalls had run out of hot food 20 minutes after opening. Otherwise a great evening out.

Overpriced once in there.. told exit via a stairwell once back on ground floor no toilets as this exit went straight outside.. won't rush back

It was really good I loved it and I enjoyed it had a really good time with all my family

First class state of the art sound. Every seat faces the stage, as opposed to the conventional rectangular style arenas. To be honest all seats in the top section are so far from the stage, you have to question "would you pay for this experience again in these seats". Personally I guess most people would give it a miss.

It's an arena. So its huge, full on people and the bar is well expensive.

Sat on the back row, never again. Very very high up, beware of this when booking tickets!. Very clean venue and clean toilets.

Our first visit to the first direct arena for the Gregory Porter show I have to say the sound quality was very good you can see from all parts of the arena we was disappointed with the cramped and very uncomfortable seating both still have aching backs!! Good access to the exits limited disabled parking suggest prior booking lifts to all floor levels we thought the drinks overpriced and uninspiring food other than that we enjoyed a really good concert

Had a poor experience here when watching Kylie Minogue. Seating... the most uncomfortable seating at any venue I've visited, very tight for space and hurt my legs. Finally the show itself, kylie and show were absolutely flawless but i found the acoustics poor in the auditorium. It was a little too quiet but the main problem was the lack of immersion, the music just didn't fill the space and felt far too narrow and central. I ended up leaving the show early, predominantly due to the seating. I simply couldn't endure those seats for the 3 hour show... very disappointing.

An amazing place to go for a concert. Don't be afraid to ask the staff for help, they are very helpful and polite.

Great place all good viewing seats and superb acoustics. Could do with air conditioning though gets very hot
