First Baptist Church of Portland, OR Review

I really would like to start going every sunday to church again,this would be a very good thing for me to do,i get really up set with the bad choices that ive made and dont pray to god.but i do say the pray that mom loving mom told me to say every night befor i went to sleep and i have my loving hippo,Glen say it as well.now i lay me down to sleep,i pray the lord my soul to keep,if i die befor i wake,i pray the lord my soul to keep.Akeep.Amen

I work here so I am biased. That said at First Baptist you will find a beautiful sanctuary, worship services in both traditional (11:00 AM) and relaxed contemporary (8:45 AM) styles. You will also find kind, warm, and welcoming faces and plenty of food.

Wonderful events and overall experience. Extremely kind people no matter what religion or lack thereof you come from

I am a little confused though cause I like the evening church service not sure if this is the right church I went here in 2016 but I loved the indie Christian music not a big fan of the Baptist thingy In the mornings but the evenings was the best church service with the nicest people I got baptized for the first time in this church ! And I was so sick and homeless with a bad flu I honestly laid in the chairs while the band practiced and they didn t say a word to me like didn t tell me to leave like that is totally what I think Jesus would be like so sweet and helpful they were by not asking me to leave . I got a lot of rest and felt better. God bless this church is there a way I can get a CD of ur indie sounding great style of Christian music ? Cause I miss it I moved states there s no church with ur music :o let me know .

Dinner and a movie program in the dinning area on Tuesday night's is amazing. If u want to donate to a non profit look up their tax id number they do so much good without much funding and work so hard. A wonderful brother and sister started it and its grown I've been going for 17+ years

This place is a historic beautiful building with an old fashioned style of worship which teach the Word of God

This lovely organization has been such a treat for me, a physically challenged 41 y/o male, with no income and living in a shelter.

Awesome people. Great teachings. Wonderful place to worship weekly
