First Baptist Church, Mansfield, TX Review

Fairly conservative evangelical Baptist church. Most members (probably) are conservative Arminians and/or dispensationalists. Founding pastor was Calvinist. The Lords' day consists of morning worship service (topical) lus evening worship service (exegetical) with life groups and care groups before the morning and after the evening service. Lots of programs all during the week as well. Current Bible version used is the HCSB, which was new to me but appears close to the ESV and was designed to be patterned after the NKJV.

My family has been attending this church for about a year now and we absolutely love this church. Our kids 4 and 1 love the kids area and teachers are the best. Pastor Spencer teaches and preaches with such a passion for the Lord. I can t say enough about it. It s a great place.

My counselor works out of the back of the church and we love her. The people from the church are not very friendly and seem to not trust anyone, we see our counselor once a week and each time we park we are questioned about our whereabouts? " where are you going? Who are you here with? What are you doing here?" Very typically " White Christian, Texans" folks

We ve been going here for almost a year and a half and we love this church. Wonderful pastor and great leadership and overall just a bunch of believers that are really trying to follow Jesus and reach the community with the Gospel.
