Unfortunately there can be a difference seen in food and atmosphere once the change in owners happened. Ordered the bruschetta and salmon, but wasn't able to eat the tomatoes. It had been soaked in something giving an aftertaste. My friend had a toastie which was nice but basic. The prices are good for the food.

Friendly staff, great food at reasonable prices, ambience is charming and excellent place to catch up with friends. Background muzac is soothing and certainly not too loud. Best licensed cafe in Northern Ballarine. In summer many folk get the ferry from Docklands and love spending an hour or so chilling in air conditioned comfort. Go once, you'll go more!!!

Awesome joint, went to the bakery at first but they had stopped their breakfast service at 11 already. Instead we went to fine aromas (formerly post script), and ordered from their all day breakfast menu, I had eggs on toast but added mushrooms, hash brown and bacon, was beautiful and at a good price, service was swift yet polite. Would recommend for day travellers and between locals alike. Interior was clean and spacious with seating out front with view of bay and surrounding township and a garden area out back.

Good prices at this cute lil cafe in Portarlington. The menus are great! Reused Little golden books - giving the kids something to do while waiting for their waffles (must have these)

The code black coffee beans the cafe uses are delicious too!

Always a pleasant experience visting here. The staff are very friendly and the food and coffee is great. The 1 thing I would want is lactose free milk. Nobody in Portarlington has this, some of us hate soy and almond but put up with discomfort for a coffee.

Poached eggs are poached eggs!! There are no hard poached eggs!! We ordered poached eggs as part of our breakfast and all 3 of us received these hard eggs not runny.
When we asked for them to be replaced with actual poached eggs the response was oh did you want soft poached eggs .
Seriously if you are offering both options then ask the client what they would prefer even though poached eggs are traditional runny.
When the meal came back only 2 of us received correctly poached eggs and the bread under the mixed mushrooms and capsicum was so soggy it was quite bad.
My sons meal had so much mustard it was smothered on over everything to the point that you couldn t even identify what was on the plate. Quite disappointing

Venue, staff, service and coffee were to knotch. One of the best coffees ever .
I would encourage them to get a bacon & egg roll on the menu, as i wad dying for one. The granola did hit the spot though.

A dash of vinegar in cooking poached eggs may be fine for some folks but not half a bottle ! Over powered the eggs. Mentioned to mgr/0wner but blaise and doubt if it will be addressed.. Service was pedestrian. We all sat with finished plates on the table. No inclination to clear them so I asked. No offer for post meal coffees. Apart from the eggs, all enjoyed the food at reasonable prices. Good coffee and lass on the machine is good.
