We bought a suite for one night. So that we can meet the Montreal Canadiens. When we arrived afterwards. There were cookies with the team logo and a very polite card! It was a perfect experience!

Front desk staff are fantastic. Restaurant service is fast and the servers really care. The drinks in the bar are overpriced and often not strong but great attentiveness.
I had a wonderful stay here, the hotel is up to date with well decorated rooms that have all you need for a comfortable stay. The staff was all very kind, specially the lovely women working front desk. I forgot a precious item in my room and when I called the next day, it was found and she shipped it to my home. I was expecting to be charged for the delivery cost but I was never charged, so I really appreciate the kind gesture. Thank you Fairmont, you have done great at hiring kind, compassionate humans! And at having great showers!
Highly recommended the Kiss & Wake Up package. Very clean, comfortable & modern rooms, inclusive of insuite sparkling wine and treat and breakfast for two the next day. Food was delicious and staff was awesome. As a local it was a great way to "get away" for a bit while staying safe during a pandemic time and now we will definitely be back!
The Fairmont is a great hotel. The location, just off of portage and main, is right in the centre of the city, and is a good place for traveling to any other part of the city. The rooms are relatively large, although the lighting is a bit dim and the colours plain. There is passage to Winnipeg square and the concourse underneath portage and main.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. However, upon arrival, we were unable to access our rooms for several hours (till 6pm) despite having booked this reservation months ago. The room itself was tidy. But there was leftover takeout food in the fridge from the previous guests' (in place of some minibar drinks) and even though I immediately notified the front desk and was reassured I would not get charged, sure enough, on the day of checkout, I was billed for drinks I did not consume. They rectified the error after I again contacted them, but I am disappointed with the lack of foresight and customer service. Moreover, the ice machine was broken on our floor so we were reliant on the fruit water in the main lobby. It was refreshing aside from the many fruit flies often swarming around it.
Time for an update; rooms and furniture are shabby and in poor repair. Electronic minibar system is a terrible idea; watch for charges on your bill if you pick up an item to look at with no intention of consuming it. Fairmont name carries with it expectations that are not being met at this property.
I've stay at the Fairmont in Winnipeg often while on business. I've always been satisfied with the service and cleanliness of the room. The beds are very comfy!
From staff to parking to the restaurant , just an overall disappointment. The staff members when you first enter are very rude and arrogant. Out side of them it was okay but it is nothing like the other fairmont. It is a laughingstock.
Went for work Christmas dinner. The tenderloin dinner was excellent. The ballroom bar had a limited selection which was a bit of a bummer. There were some small issues with the service, the staff brought out bread without butter, and desert trays without plates. It took them a few minutes to fix these issues.
My dad and I visit the hotel's restaurant almost every time we travel through to go fishing. We feel its the best Winnipeg has to offer. The attention to detail in service is A+. They always start out with a pallet cleanser of a small appetizer, the fresh warm baked bread is truly a treat. The main courses are big and they take pride in the dishes they serve. The price is on the higher side. However you get what you pay for these days. In this case you will not be unsatisfied. Next time your staying in Winnipeg or at the Fairmont stop in to their restaurant and you to will see the old world charm and food quality that is amazing.
The rooms here meet Fairmont standards: everything is nice down to the smallest touch. The bed was very comfortable, and staff were competent. The downside to this hotel is that it lacks charm: it is situated in a brutalist plaza adjacent to Portage & Main, where I'd rather jump in the car and leave than linger (it is fairly close to the Forks, however). 7/10
I stayed on the Gold Floor and the concierge Allison was absolutely amazing! Allison was very attentive and helpful. She had a great attitude along with her ability to find solutions to problems quickly and efficiently. Allison also makes great hot chocolates!
I can't eat any dairy products and the restaurant, made me a dairy free meal. The staff made me feel special. I would come back to this hotel. Very friendly staff and helpful.
Everything about our stay here was top notch, the rooms, the view, the staff, the food. We felt like v.i.p guests here. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Old building, tired rooms in need of renovations and expensive prices on everything. There are much less expensive options that are newer and offer better value for your hard earned money.
Went for a graduation - the positioning of the speakers made it hard to hear when sitting at the back..but otherwise the location is always really nice.
Attended a conference in one of the rooms in the concourse. Very nice room. Breakfast was excellent and they even brought me soy milk for my coffee upon request.
The place is a little old building but it's great customer service. All staff members are really friendly. I visited the banquet hall but did not stay there but the hotel ambience, is really good and there's a self paid parking available. For business meetings, they charge for the WiFi that's a minus point but for guests it's free!! It's in downtown so it's close to all the places that you wish to visit and shop around. Great location.
My family and I stay here twice a year while visiting family. The staff is warm and friendly and I feel like it s our home away from home. The hotel is a great location and walking distance to many great restaurants aside from the wonderful restaurant on site.
My stay was excellent without any incident. Check in was quick and easy. Hotel staff was very friendly and available to help with all request. I found where the exact request could not be accommodated an alternative was provided. For instance, when I wanted a quiet place to dine but the Glove was busy I was offered in-room dinning service which was excellent because I was able to enjoy my meal and watch my favorite TV program. Entertainment with stayconnect on my iPhone also made it very easy to switch TV channels, check my bill and check out. The internet access was very fast and found it easy to connect all my devices. I will highly recommend the Fairmont Winnipeg to anyone who is in Winnipeg for business or leisure.
Staying at a hotel during COVID is weird but the staff at the Fairmont went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Special treats sent up to the room on Valentine s Day made things extra special.
Service was great. From right when we drove up. The valet, front desk and for any request they took care of me and my family. The salt water pool was nice and relaxing as well.
I stay here about once a year , I am constantly traveling and staying at other Fairmonts , the Ritz and hotels like that. And never , ever have I been asked do you actually stay here , can I see your room key while in a meeting with my agent, Not once, that is an incredible level of disrespect and I will never stay in this hotel. This hotel matches the cities reputation as a disgusting place. And to just interrupt a meeting , and not to leave when I asked them to. The 2 ladies at the front desk are very pleasant but the rest was just purely revolting.
Stayed Jun 15-17, 2020...mostly because I ve never stayed and they had a promo of 109.50 a night and the second night free. Parking was to be 14.00 a night so still an amazing deal. Pros: - extremely affordable Cons: - they tried to charge me 21.00 a night for parking till I advised I was quoted 14.00. - room was dirty (see pics) - lamp was broken - duvet cover was two sheets folded over the duvet, which caused it to unravel the entire sleep, which is incredibly unhygienic. - shower had to sit on full hot for 5-7 minutes to actually produce any heat - upon check out, she did comp my parking. A lovely gesture, till I received the email and it charged me 219.00 for one night. A far cry from the 109.50 as reserved, so I had to call back to have it adjusted. I would expect better from a hotel that claims to be a boutique establishment. In light of covid still being an issue, I would also expect cleaning procedures to be more thorough than that. Absolutely would NOT recommend to anyone as their regular room rates are ridiculous for the level of service received.
Back door tacos are amazing! Just grab some tacos and sit outside, enjoy the breeze and sun at the same time. Fries are crispy, cooked very well and tasty.
It was really nice and for a decent price. Its worth a stay for sure, I enjoyed it immensely for the short while I was there. Very helpful and friendly staff!
Excellent service when I checked in the other night. They got me the perfect room for entertaining my son and his wife. I have stayed here for years and will continue to do so. Yea Dawn!
