The park is huge. I saw alligator the first time I went there, but didn't see any the second time I went.
The park is huge. I saw alligator the first time I went there, but didn't see any the second time I went.
Nothing like emersing yourself in nature on a jetski in the keys. Best place in FL to ride a jetski due to calm waters
Amazing to learn and see about the life of Alligators and Crocodiles. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff.
This is the best I'm even doing a school project on my experience.
It's a very beautiful place with a lot of mosquitoes
Staff only English speaking, we saw 2 crocodiles and a couple of birds. A demonstration with crocodiles.
What an amazing place. Fully enjoyed our drive through the everglades. We see a lot of wildlife.
Good spot for fishing but the Alligators want attention
Nice 15 mile bike loop. Easy, flat paved path. Lots of birds and alligators to see.
Admission is $25 per vehicle. Plenty of parking. They also rent bikes for $9 n hour.
Lots of wildlife, super guide and staff. We had a wonderful time.
Interesting airboat tour, you see alligators and then a good show
Very fun place to go see wildlife. A lot of driving is required to see it well. Also very different from season to season. I always take visits when they come to South Florida and never fails. It is a unique park worlwide.
Wonderful natural setting to enjoy the perfect weather. Great experience
This is a place I can visit for a number of times and never get tired. Be aware of voltures and wasps!
Having read the books about this area I felt I was going back in time to those days.
Our visit was awesome! We saw three wild alligators, plus the boat ride was fun, as a bonus. Otter John's show was informative and interesting. Tip: We were told that if you go early in the day, you have a better chance of spotting alligators because that's when they come out to sun themselves.
Wow everything I thought it would be enjoying wild life got to try it at least once
We were there in late June and there's a reason no one else was there. We were literally the only people camping in a site that could hold hundreds of people. It wasn't too hot, but the deer flies and mosquitoes were insane. They immediately attack after getting out of your car. Despite the bugs, we actually had a pretty good time. There's some neat boardwalk trails that take you through forest islands in the swamp. We also went up an observation tower where we could see the flat wetlands for miles. I think if you're going to make Everglades your destination, be sure to get a boat tour too. Don't just drive in and out.
If you can not decide which area to visit, choose - royal palm trail. You will see everything what is the most important here.
You definitely dont need to spend any more money on a tour since the wildlife can be seen from the amazing trails and amazing park rangers that were there.
This may be my new favorite national park. We did the Anhinga trail midday so I wasn t expecting to see anything. But we saw 13 alligators, various birds and fish AND a soft shell turtle!
Fantastic!! So many alligators. Tram tour was very good and informative. Can't wait to visit other parts of the everglades national park
Little over-rated but worth a stop. There's always a chance to see something unusual or just spot some pretty fish. Otherwise it's hot humid and the experience lacks a little luster. Good rest stop though...rest rooms available and spaces for RVs and trailers
I have to admit, I was prepared to be bored here! How much fun can we have visiting a swamp? But don't let swampland fool you, the Everglades is truly a gorgeous and unique place in southern Florida. It's well organized, easy to maneuver around, and has some fantastically personable and excited park rangers. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again!
A very nice place to visit for a day, but the $25 gate fee was ridiculous.
Beautiful as parks go, and of course warm all year around!
So much wildlife and hours and hours of trails to take if you're driving the southern road.
If you plan on taking air boat tours, or boat rides into the keys, be sure to order online in advance! Once you get there the lines will be huge and you can end up needing to burn 4 or more hours at flamingo point to get on a small boat tour.
Loved it. Great narrative from the team tour with info on flora and fauna. Plenty of alligators too.
This is an interesting trip, we rode in an air boat for about 25 minutes. Saw a few gators and some blue heron also a turtle called a red belly slider. The boat holds about 16 people it's quite loud even with the ear plugs they supply. The sun was very intense so be prepared. The everglades basically looks like a huge grassy field, no trees for shade. There was a show after the ride explaining some snakes and feeding alligators. After you can hold a baby gators a snap a photo ($3) then walk through the park and see more alligators and a few crocodiles. At the end you are herded past the restaurant and gift shop. It's a pretty good couple of hours.
This is a really cool park. However the mosquitoes are so bad we could barely get out of the car. Even with 2 long sleeved shirts, pants, and mosquito nets for our head they were still overwhelming. We walked maybe 30 steps on a trail and had to turn around. I don't regret going but definitely go during winter when mosquitos are at a minimum.
Such a breathtaking experience. The best natural beauty I have visited along with the grand canyon.
Awesome.. Sunny....
Remember to carry bug spray.
Kayaking is an available option
Lot of small trail paths
This is a huge park with many places to see and lots of hiking. Of course you can take an airboat ride in places. Different at different times of the year - wet or dry season. Lots of flora and fauna to see. Many birds of various kinds. We watched some moonflower blossoms open in about 20 seconds each - from but to fully open flower.
You want to see wild alligators? You must be here!
It was a great experience, we saw alligators, dolphins, egrets and other wild life ... As a photographer I enjoyed taking pictures here and it s highly recommended.
Memorable experience. Like in a movie but you're really there among the alligators.
They lie and only give you a boat trip 20 minutes, you are 2 hours on the bus picking up people who go to other tours. they have some alligators locked in cages they look sick!
Plentiful options for enjoying an air boat ride and seeing beautiful wildlife
A good structure for visitors and a place for good photos.
The Airboat Association of Florida 2019 Annual Fish Fry was great!
We love our river of grass.
Love this park! Take time to drive the park road from Coe Visitor center to the Flamingo Visitor Center. Take a couple of the short trails in between. If you are an amature or professional photographer, you will love all the osprey that hang out at Flamingo! Go in December if you don't want mosquitos attacking you. You will have to decide if the December crowds are worth the trip. Enjoy the trip!
Clean up from Irma was swift, hard.to tell of devastation until Flamingo.
A place with a beautiful Flora and Fauna and spectacular tranquility; which is what almost everyone is looking for
Gators, gators, gators. Shark Valley is a great place to see them, do a counterclockwise hike or bike to see them right by the visitor's center.
very helpful staff, chances to see alligators very low, but not their fault
They never made repairs to the park center after Hurricane Andrew.
Great place to fish eco tour sand bar at Nest key camp at Nest key etc.Tarpon Spanish mackerel fishing is great in spring trout in summer snook in june.If you have a chance to go fishing there I would highly recommend it
It was fun but we didn't see any Gators in the wild. Fun anyway. The best time to go is after September, when it is cold because they come out to sun themselves.
Not worth the money to get into the park. Breaks in are common and the area isn t patrolled, and there s no signal to even call for help. The everglades was disappointing, nothing to do and nothing to see except lizards. The employees at the desk were extremely unhelpful and rude when we went to get help. Just a waste of time
