Don't expect to see a lot of stuff other than the empty land. The 1.5 hour one way drive to the end of the Flamingo Visitor Center is TOTALLY wasting time. Only see about 10 cars in the early November. Should call them to make sure you can actually see something interesting.

The driving scenery is OK, if you are the first time to visit everglades.

It wold be much more fun and much more to see with air-boat outside the park.

A beautiful, unique park with lots of wilderness. Not many hiking trails, but lots of great canoeing on the Wilderness Waterway. Call the VC ahead of time to see if you can get a toe of the missile base, too.

This was a wonderful place to visit. The scenery changes with the time of the year due to dry or wet season. You see more wildlife in the winter months vs the summer. We went in March and saw many alligators with alligator babies. We took the tram tour and the guide was funny and very informative. There is limited parking so sometimes you have to park out on the road and walk in a distance.

What else can you say about the Everglades National Park except that it's amazing! I went during a time when there aren't a lot of tourists and was able to go to the all the cool spots basically by myself.

A beautiful place to visit. There are several animals for you to admire. All accommodated in good facilities. Animals in good health and nutritional. The site offers tourists a very exciting boat ride on the Everglades Lake. This tour is suspended qd there is rain forecast. The location offers free parking.

There were manitee everywhere. We seen a crocodile close both by the docks. We also took a boat tour back the canals which we thought we were going out in the ocean so make sure you specify which tour.

This was a great experience.

This was a great experience.
Even though it rained all day, we had a great day.
Saw an American crocodile, vultures and a lot of other birds.
This is must if you're in southern Florida.
The park rangers are very helpful and friendly.

Great land. Terrible park management.

Great land. Terrible park management.

The facilities are terrible. Park management doesn't care and doesn't care about the visitor experience. One star for NPS. The landscape is magnificent. Five stars for nature. The Flamingo campground looks like a facility that was abandoned 5 years ago, decrepit, unmown grass, broken fixtures. Rangers say, "it's the concession operator" as though NPS didn't hold the concession contract. The other campground has broken boarded up buildings. Ranger makes excuses for that also. One of the side roads was closed with no notice about when it would reopen. Turns out they planned the closure for months, but couldn't bother to put up a sign to tell visitors when it would close or reopen. Park Ranger attitude is visitors are just a bother.

Nice park with lot of alligators and beautiful birds. Good place for trekking or a cycle ride. They also provide tram ride which is very informative 2 hrs ride, for which you may have to wait for couple of hours.

not as exciting as expected

not as exciting as expected
I was a little disappointed not to see gators out of the water. This may be due to the dry season. We saw turtles, some gators in the water, snakes and a variety of birds. No bicycle/child seat combo avail for our 39 pounds son, and the walk in the sun is a little too long to get to the end. At least it is cheap

I visited here on a school trip and traveled while staying at Long Pine Key Campground. We did canoeing at Flamingo, waded through water in Fakahatchee Swamps on guided tours, snorkeled in Key Largo, waded through Cypress Swamps, walked through Taylor Slough and the Gumbo Limbo Trail, etc. The bathrooms and showers were clean and hosts were friendly at LPK. Lots of opportunities to see wildlife such as wading birds, epiphytes, palm trees, alligators, crocodiles, fish, frogs and snakes throughout. Side note: help keep this beautiful place clean by cleaning up trash! Overall I highly recommend visiting for the experience.
