GPA is really building strong school culture. WE LOVE IT HERE!!!
I don't like this school they so strict about uniform and they treat like baby's and some teachers at Ferrell are rude and sometimes if u ab you will end up your grade low they so lame they need improvement
I love this school. Even though they are really strict they challenge my daughter and you really have to be on top of your child because any little hiccup they will fall behind....they update edsby so theres no reason why you dont know whats going on in the class. The only thing i really didnt like is that on picture day they are required to wear uniforms but however i know about everything thats going on all up coming events. "Teachers are committed to going above and beyond- from creating real-world connections in a rigorous and relevant curriculum to designing amazing afterschool enrichment opportunities for all the students here at Girls Prep. There is a real focus on making sure all students are competent, confident and connected. The principal is amazing-very proactive and involved with students, parents and teachers. Girls Prep is the best kept secret in the district. A great place to send your daughter to learn and grow!"
Great school. The staff is nice and the girls here take advantage of that. It's a shame.
It looks like a great school. The staff is pleasant and all they offer with enrichment programs but it wasn't the school for my daughter. We live in Riverview and she rides the school bus which means she has to wake up at 5:00 am to get her first bus at 5:30 am. School starts at 7:30 like high school and she gets home after 5:00 to do 2-3 hours of homework daily. Communication with teachers on Edsby can be frustrating. Every day my daughter was telling me about fights and bullying in the school. My daughter never got in trouble for conduct as she is a good student but this school has some bad kids in it more than other schools. I love the uniform policy. It has it good and bad so evaluate accordingly and research.
This school is amazing!! The students character and maturity evolve on a daily basis. They learn the type of life skills to succeed in college and the real world! If I had a daughter, she would surely attend!
Mann this school got big mommy roaches and these teachers be treating you like you still in elementary I honestly am trying to tell yall not to go to this school and then we got a assistant principle name mrs.white she hates every student and she yells for no reason LAME
I went there last year. I had to move schools because of how bad I was being bullied. When my mom requested for me to move schools one of the vice principles, I believe Mr. Williams would not allow my mom to have me transferred. My mom literally had to have the super visor of the school I am in now have me removed from Ferrell. I got pushed down stairs, verbally bullied, and I received panick attacks because they put me in 6th and 7th grade math, which they were not supposed to do. In my opinion this is one of the worst schools ever. I will never ever reccomend anyone to go here. To be honest if I could go back in time and stop myself from picking this school,I would.
My daughter grads have really improved since starting Ferrell
I am going there next year and I here that it is a GREAT school
It looks like the best shool but am going to orange groove i will love to go there !!! It look so much fun !!
It's a good school I made good friends in 7th grade and hi
I'm currently a student at Ferrell. for parents who think Ferrell is great. It's ok. The teachers care and there are some who don't care. It could be better they are really strict about uniform which I don't understand
Girls Preparatory Academy offers a unique experience for girls entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Without the added pressure of boys and relationships seen in traditional middle schools, girls at GPA are able to focus on developing their confidence and academic growth. Their motto, Every Girl, Every Day, College Bound truly embodies their culture and community.
my daughter went to this school all 3 years and she never complain about nothing, I'm sure they have good programs and good disciplines, I loved ferrell and I always recommended to my friends also I'm waiting to my youngest daughter to go to ferrell after her elementary, also all the staff is awesome!!!!
I like Ferrell I made a lot of friends there, and they offer so much to help you with basically everything. Even tho some of the students get in a lot of drama. You still could make a lot of good friendships with the teachers and students. As long as you do your work and stay out of trouble you will be fine. Cookies for good luck.
The fact that substitutes WANT to sub here says a lot! There is very little staff turnover because the teachers know that GPA is Hillsborough County's best kept secret. The climate and culture established at GPA is unparalleled. It is like a private school in a public school setting. The magnet theme is college preparatory. Girls that are unsuccessful are the ones that are forced to come. It is a prep school, not a reform school.
My daughter will be in her 2nd year at Ferrell. It has a strict conduct policy. However, the staff are passionate. The after school enrichments are amazing. Overall we love GPA. It offers her a unique and more formal environment than our neighborhood school.
Based on my experience it was a wonderful school all of the teachers show that they want to help you and you dont have to worry about any boys
It's alright.. not the best but not the worst. Being there in 6th grade you're a baby but that's fine and with you're the middle children which sucks but we deal with it.
I like the school because you can actually focus in class.
