Disappointing handling of criticism to improve lecturers and the school management.
E-mail inquiries or criticism will not be responded to or answered (mail to course director / president of the school / lecturers ...).
Lecturer reacts annoyed, course management rejects guilt and refers to lecturers, President does not react at all.
Very unprofessional handling even though the school is financially supported by the cantons. As the education department of the canton, I would have serious doubts whether this money should not be better placed in a more suitable institution.
The majority of all lecturers do a great job! I would like to emphasize that here.
Only the management level of this school seems to be overwhelmed with "non-standard situation"
What a shame! After these experiences I will not recommend the school to anyone!
I really enjoyed studying at the FFHS. It was very challenging and I learned a lot! The FFHS has really good teachers and an ingenious groove.
For me it cannot be ruled out that I will attend a CAS or something at the FFHS again sooner rather than later.
A high degree of flexibility is required of the students, whereby the head of the IT department is very inflexible. People from eastern Switzerland are treated as secondary and divided into other school days. Personally, I registered for Saturday and only had classes on Monday / Thursday and had to travel from 3 hours to face-to-face classes in the evening after 9 hours of work, which didn't work for me with my job and studies. For this reason, I cannot recommend this course of study to anyone from Eastern Switzerland. It is only interested that you pay the tuition fees, the management doesn't care about the rest! The management argues with planning security, if the planning does not work out because of a student, that is very questionable.
Disastrous college.
Not a clean corona concept.
Calls itself "Fernfachhochschule" but lets the students come back to face-to-face teaching when the number of CORONA cases increases.
Instead of making decisions here to protect the health of the students, everyone is dragged back into the presences and you have to wear a mask all day.
Absolutely no sympathy for that.
So you don't believe in your own concept of distance learning yourself.
A remote technical college, which in times of Corona lets your students sit in the lectures with masks.
You present yourself as a specialist in e-learning, but fail to take on a pioneering role in times like these.
There are no concepts when students must go into self-isolation.
Then important lecture contents are missing (because the presences are carried out on site and not online and the isolated students cannot participate)
Due to the massive increase in the number of cases, it would be possible to show that you have something ahead of other universities. But that is being missed.
Short-term decisions are made at irregular intervals about how to proceed with the lectures.
There is no consideration whatsoever for the students, for whom a part-time course is already an extreme burden anyway.
Instead of making forward-looking decisions, for example by the end of the semester ...
In such difficult times, this would allow safe planning and relieve psychologically.
It's a shame that people don't seem to trust their own "distance learning" concept
