I've bought at least half a dozen pre-made shelves and one custom shelf from this local business for books and vinyl records. Both require strong, sturdy shelving and Fenton MacLaren's shelves are both. They are top notch!

Outstanding customer service. Ordered two custom made dining room pieces. Expected 14 week lead time, but upon arrival, one piece was not built to our order. Both owners got personally involved to expedite the correct piece. They took what I expected to be an ugly situation and made it OK. Delivery was prompt and very professional. Even though the delivery was a little behind schedule, the delivery personnel took the time to protect our hardwood floors, properly assemble and position the pieces, and review the invoice/work order with us. We had shopped a dozen stores before buying here. Next time we come here first.

Wonderful furniture selection at a great price. Most of their offerings are hand made to order, so expect a wait, but it's well worth it.

So beautiful you wouldn't believe furniture could be that emotion provoking. Of course, unfortunately for steep prices but very fine quality and very fine craftsmanship (including Amish furniture) with a lot of variety. There are a few pieces of furniture that are affordable, but you have to search thoroughly the large store.

I have bought several pieces of furniture, a bedroom set, table and a recliner chair over the years. This year a spring broke on my5 year old recliner chair. The chair had a lifetime warranty. I called and one of the owners came out to assess the problem that day. Within a week he had the replacement part and repaired it at my home. This is what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Nice place but very very pricey (e.g. almost $500 for a kitchen chair). I get that the Bay Area has a lot of wealthy folks but if you're on a student budget or otherwise just out of school you'll be better off looking elsewhere.

I had Fenton MacLaren build some custom bookshelves for me two years ago, and I am going back for more. Terrific worksmanship, good price. Highly recommended.

Quality American made. It ain't Ikea, and that's good.
