Featherstone Farm is a family-owned and operated organic vegetable farm located in Rushford, Minnesota. The farm was established in 1994 by Jack Hedin and Jenni McHugh with the aim of providing fresh, healthy, and sustainable produce to the local community. Over the years, Featherstone Farm has grown into one of the largest certified organic vegetable farms in Minnesota.
At Featherstone Farm, we are committed to growing great-tasting vegetables that are good for you and good for the environment. We use only natural methods to grow our crops without any synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Our farming practices focus on building healthy soil through crop rotation, cover cropping, and composting.
We offer a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program that allows members to receive weekly boxes of fresh produce throughout the growing season. Our CSA members enjoy a wide variety of seasonal vegetables including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, greens, root vegetables and more.
In addition to our CSA program we also sell our produce at farmers markets throughout Minnesota including Minneapolis Farmers Market where we have been selling since 1995. We also supply wholesale accounts such as co-ops and restaurants with our fresh organic produce.
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond just farming practices; we also strive to reduce waste by using reusable packaging materials whenever possible. We believe that small changes can make a big difference when it comes to protecting our planet.
