I have been eating here for the past two years now, and I thought it was time to say how amazing this place is! I travel all over the country and try many fabulous restaurants, but Dean's restaurant tops them all in my opinion! Try the barbequed shrimp taco...it's incredible! The staff is so friendly and accomodating, and they also have a great bar to enjoy drinks before or after dinner. I enjoy sitting in the kitchen area, because you get to see all the action! Definitely the place to have a great dinner, and a fun night out!

Dean Fearing, the chef of this restaurant devoted his whole life to cooking for connoisseurs. This restaurant is known not only to residents of Dallas but also worldwide, as one of the best since 2007, when it was opened here. A rich variety of peppers, chili, cilantro, fruits and vegetables, cheeses, and Persian Gulf seafood play an important role in the restaurant's ever-changing menu. Be sure to try to the maximum, but do not forget to leave room for desserts!

It's expensive but if you come in for the lunch menu, you can get what I would call the best food in Dallas at a very reasonable cost. I had the scarlet snapper and it was prepared masterfully. Flavors I've never before encountered played off of each other in ways I never could have imagined. This place will absolutely get at least 4 stars from me.

An inspiring place. Loved the true hospitality and way they took the time to allow me to taste wines and answer specific questions about the dishes. Thank you Chef Fearing and all your staff for extending your hospitality to this wandering Chef.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. Everything you would expect from a high end place with a great reputation.

Only issue I has is the antelope didn't have much flavor, but that was my first go at antelope so perhaps it was just the choice I made.

Without a doubt, my favorite restaurant. Variety on the menu and the flavor of each and every dish is just outstanding. I must mention the tortilla soup and the short ribs which is an absolute must for everyone checking this place out.

Most succulent lobster and the steak was so good. Crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, just how it should be for medium well. Favorite part was the spinach enchilada, who would have though you can get a good smoky flavor from a vegetarian meal. Overall, my husband and I truly enjoyed our dinner. Thank you Fearings!

It's expensive but you really get what you pay for, and if you come in for the lunch menu, you can get some of the best food in Dallas at an unbeatable cost. I had the red snapper. It was prepared masterfully. Flavors I've never before encountered played off of each other perfectly. When the Michelin guide finally comes to Dallas, this place will absolutely get at least a couple of stars.

Another overrated Dallas restaurant. I can deal with high prices as long as the food elevates. Here it does not. Started with the lobster bisque which was some deconstructed concoction. Trying to complicate the food does not make it better. Had the wagyu steak with peppercorn ssuce and maccand cheese. Just disappoibting with charred steak and little flavor. Sauce was a bad jelly thing that wasnot good. Mac n cheese was flavorless. Skip here and save the money.

The menu changes frequently, but the quality is consistent. Im a huge Dean Fearing fan and I think it is always so great when he makes the rounds and says hi to his guests and asks for feedback on the meal. Truly a class act in one of Dallas's best restaurants.

Was very excited to try this restaurant while visiting. The service was very slow and the waiter was below average. Not very friendly. The sommelier didn t know the different between two Chardonnay that I asked about. The soup was cold. I asked for medium when I ordered the steak dish and it was very medium well. The table next to us was complaining to the waiter about there service right next us. All around very disappointing. I don t think the owner would ve been very pleased if he was the restaurant that night. Honestly it was a waste of money and very sad for us.

I appreciate the southwestern menu here. If you're looking for a nice place to have a good meal, this is the place to come. We always come here for corporate dinners, and Chef Fearing always does a great job.

The atmosphere and staff are exceptional. Hands down. The food is subpar. Classic dishes are filled with too many ingredients. It seems they re trying to please the tex mex crowd. It s a hodgepodge of too many flavors that don t satisfy the truly sophisticated palette.

Great experience! We came in for the vegetarian menu and everything was fantastic! Absolutely flawless atmosphere. Chef took his time to introduce himself. (We were too nervous to make a good conversation... sorry!), one of the few amazing somms in the dfw area, Mr. Paul Botamer was kind enough to suggest a wine and serve it to us! Thank you guys for the perfect night!

Just a wonderful birthday dinner. Checked in, got some wonderful treatment at th bar before we sat down for dinner. Gavin was impeccable with his service and timing. The smoked butter, amuse bousche, steak tartare, steak entrees (oh my God the steak), and birthday dessert were all fantastic. I had the chicken fried lobster and my partner had the waygu tenderloin. Oh man. What a wonderful dinner! Would love to return someday.

Outstanding scene for quality american food. Arrived at seven, it wasn't crowded. Certainly worth a return visit. Prices that won't break you. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

If you are a foodie, meaning if you like to eat flavorful and try out new plates, do not go to this restaurant as you will find out very fast that not only the plates are your regular, traditional, overpriced plates, but they lack the explosion of flavors in their foods.
