We had a great experience. We sat downstairs in the wine bar area. Service and food were excellent. Great way to end a long day of walking through Colonial Williamsburg.

Service is excellent! Dishes are inventive, especially the appetizers! We ate downstairs but ordered from the upstairs menu. Salmon with crispy skin for me, melt in your mouth short ribs for my husband. You won't be disappointed!
Eating here was a great dining experience! We at as dine in and it was obvious the staff was maintaining standards of cleanliness and working to make guests feel comfortable dining in. Tables and booths were spaced out and staff were attentive. The food was fantastic for main dishes and dessert. Would absolutely recommend!
This is our favorite restaurant on Hampton roads route. Food, service, ambiance and value all of it is just a pleasure. We never miss a chance to visit travelling this route to or from Virginia Beach and appreciate their resilience to the challenge of pandemic situation unlike many other restaurants they didn't quit and that says a lot! Thank you Fat Canary, we'll be coming back time and again.

Okay so this place is mad clean!! I don t think I ve ever been in an establishment this clean before.. the service is superb! The food is tasty & the wine is amazing! I got the opportunity to sit next to the bar, nearest David the bartender, he is soo cool!! Loved to chat with him and he is full of information. Was definitely a breath of fresh air to dine here for the first time, and on a date. Only took a star, because it s not a place I can afford often at all. However, thanks.
I ordered rabbit and was deliciously made. Service was great. They had experiences professional chef working in the kitchen and you definitely can taste it. Everything I ordered was properly done. I highly recommend to go there if you like American/French style cuisine.
We ate at the Downstairs! Great casual atmosphere. You can eat from either the upstairs or downstairs menu. We ate from the downstairs and got several shareable items. The shrimp dumplings and hoison ribs were delicious appetizers. Split the wagyu burger which was good. They had great selection of signature cocktails and all the staff was trained and made great recommendations to pair with the food! Definitely get the old fashioned! We will be back to try more of everything!
