First time here and last. The amount of times they question our swimwear while we are trying to have a good time is so ridiculous, mind you we were swimwear compliant! What was supposed to be a nice spent afternoon was quickly turned into a very uncomfortable one! -1000 starts from me!

Just visited this place after years of not going and some of the staff kept asking me if I had a swimsuit on. About 5 asked me in less than half an hour. I got annoyed that I left when I noticed a lady swimming with some casual shorts and shirt on. Bad thing is that this is the only pool near my house

This water park is great! It has a big area for small children with 3 small slides for them, a lazy river, a swimming pool, and 2 big slides for adults/big kids. You are allowed to bring in your own food/drinks. And if you re a resident of Farmers Branch or Carrollton you pay a cheaper price. This is a great small water park!

I consider myself fortunate to be able to make use of Farmers Branch Aquatics Center. The staff is friendly and helpful, the water temperature is perfect, the bathrooms are kept clean, the lifeguards are friendly, and the people who attend and swim with me, for the most part, are positive and friendly. I wouldn't change a thing. I go as often as i can.

Two years ago we loved the Frog Pond. Then COVID hit. I understand being cautious but the lifeguards were downright nazis our last visit at the end of summer 2020 with the distancing and masks. For over an hour we were followed, my kids harassed, and we generally had an awful time. The only blessing was that it started raining and we had an excuse to leave that sat right with the kids. We went to the Rainforest in Carrollton most of last summer instead and experienced none of this. Glad we have that option now so we can avoid the Frog Pond in the future.

I had my sons 2th Birthday today at the aquatics center and it s sad to say that I couldn t even enjoy my time!! The life guards were always having attitudes and kept telling my family and I that we had to get out the water because we didn t have the correct clothing on when we clearly did! ! I would never go here again!! RACIST !!

I give it 3 stars, because the facilities are well kept, the cashiers at the splash park, general staff are pleasant, and helpful. I don t give it 5 stars, because from what I observed- the manager is high strung and blatantly discriminates patrons. I can only imagine how he treats the young staff.

Regarding swimming lessons for children; There are only 5 spaces available per group, and the swimming classes start a week after registration opens (short registration time, and limited space).

The manager was attending the front desk late morning, and a lady asked him to sign up her daughter for swim lessons. He responded by saying that the registration doesn t start until 7/15, paused, and said, but I ll go ahead and get you registered now . Entered the child s name in the system and collected the $45 class fee.

Maybe 5 minutes later, after I just witnessed this, I asked the manager to register my child for swimming classes. I just figured I d go ahead and get that out of the way since I was already there, and one less thing to remember or do on a later date.

The manager asked if I was a resident of the area, I responded that I was, and then he told me registration doesn t begin until 7/15. The manager at the aquatic center is helpful and will make exceptions if you re of an ethnic group he prefers, which apparently I wasn t, because I have to wait to register on 7/15.

When I read through the reviews, and saw what someone wrote about the manager, I totally believe it. Unfortunately I experienced his discriminatory selectiveness myself.

Our family went on Sunday and after 2:30 hours an Anglo Male manger approach my husband and question his swim wear. It was an OP SWIMMING TRUNK...To top it off he also question my 6 year old top (that it was a tshirt) not even...REALLY, I KNOW HOW TO READ ONLY SWIM WEAR ALLOWED....We felt discriminated for being Hispanic. On another note I saw alot of people wearing non swim wear....It's a shame cause we love going there....just venting

What a perfect place to take my four-year old grandson on the hottest day of the year! I love that even though we don t live in Farmers Branch, we can still be here for $8 well worth the price. With a fabulous splash park, lazy river, pool, and high tube slides, there is something here for kids both young and old, like me.

Great value for a day of fun with the kids. Only $8 for non residents all day ($5 for residents & FREE for 2yrs & under) they allow you to bring your own coolers for food, plenty of seating near the pools & lots of lifeguards for constant attention to swimmers. My children greatly enjoy it here, we come prepared with snacks & towels & spend the whole day!

Visited this place for the first time and I was amazed. Facility seem to be kept up to par; the only thing I didn't like were some of the guest. I understand kids will be kids, I have four myself. Several groups of kids were just running a muck. I was relaxing in the lazy river and these groups of kids had mouths on them, rude and disrespectful. They were splashing wildly in every direction. I asked one of them to please not splash me and he looked me in the eyes and then splashed me in the face. One of them also flipped my youngest son in a tube, whom is still learning to swim. I complained to the guards and they just seem to shrug their shoulders and say "well". Either the facility needs to set rules to give them a time out and straighten out or they will be kicked from the facility. These kids parents were no where to be found. I would rather pay more money to go to a nicer facility, than to deal with children whom have no home training. Farmers Branch should have built the facility further north where people are more civilized.

My colleagues and I brought our children here for a play date. I brought my infant and their children are toddlers. Unfortunately floaters for infants aren t allowed which I respect. However, a female lifeguard questioned me about my shirt and army shorts. She informed me that I could not wear my shirt and shorts. I explained that I had a caesarean and my OB instructed me to wear elastic banded shorts. The manager was informed and had to get a answer from a higher supervisor which took thirty minutes. I looked over while in the children s pool and a lady was wearing a sports bra and shorts and she was never questioned. Fast forward to later after I got approval from the manager and I m getting ready to go down the baby slide with my infant when I get told no adults down the slide. Ok fine I can respect rules however, as I m walking down the stairs a woman slides down the slide racing her daughter and does this TWICE with the same lifeguard looking at her. Thirty minutes go by and we are winding down. My colleagues and our kids are sitting in the water and the boys have been playing with their toy trucks when another lifeguard says they can t have toy trucks in the water after they have been playing on the jungle gym with the same trucks for 2.5 hours. My colleagues and I felt like we were being picked on for every little thing. I personally felt as though I was being racially profiled as two lifeguards watched me and my infants every move. The disrespect is very unfortunate as I know members of the community including my colleagues and myself who help a lot and should receive great customer service and unfortunately did not. We definitely will not be returning. The one star is for them allowing me to continue to swim with my elastic doc approved shorts with my infant that I had given birth to.

Safety guard macro manadge every move . Expect parent to be within arm length of the kid at the same time making A flow in the go- around pool that throws everyone in different direction . So if parent want to relax in the sun - they can't . If parent want to bring more than 1 kid -they can't ( impossible staying within arm length for 2 kids since they have legs to run around . . So , parent if you want to have relaxing family outing dont come here .

BE WARNED

BE WARNED
My child was BIT on the arm by a boy today and the child was not a young child. When I informed the "supervisor and/or Head gard Summer" The first words out of her mouth were "There is nothing I can do " After that she treated me as if my child was the one doing the biting and I was in the wrong . I repeat my son was Bit by another person.

Indoor pool deserves 5 stars, However, the outdoor pool 1 star. The outdoor pool restrooms are dirty people leaving their underwear on the bench. Pools are too crowded and the water in the kids pond is freezing.
