Al-Fanar Islamic Cultural Center is one of the most widely known architectural landmarks in Doha. In this wedding-cake shaped building, non-Muslim visitors are offered extended as well as crash-courses on the Islamic faith. It offers a variety of educational, yet unforgettable, activities, such as exhibitions, tours of the cultural center, visits to the mosque, Arabic language courses and the unique opportunity to attend the khutbah (Friday sermon) in English.

Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center (commonly known simply as Bin Zaid, also known previously as Fanar or Qatar Islamic Culture Center and Spiral Mosque.... is a cultural organization in Doha, the capital of Qatar. It is located close to Doha Corniche and is a prominent landmark in the city. . The mosque was named after the famous Qatari Islamic scholar and the founder of the Qatari judicial system Sheikh Abdulla bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud. The name was given by the Emir of Qatar to commemorate the memory of his achievements during his tenure as the supreme judge of Qatar.

You can learn Islamic culture and religion. It is also a famous landmark in Doha, Qatar. There are different beauty in day and night. I recommend it.

Beautiful structure. In one part of the building it has QIB bank and it is exactly facing Souq Waqif and Qatar Central Bank in two sides. Corniche is near by too...

Perhaps the 'stand-out building' in Doha, from the outside.

A beautiful piece of architecture that cannot be missed whilst walking around the souq area of Doha. Even more beautiful at night.

This is the one place I will return to on my next visit to Doha as I just hadn't the time to visit inside whilst there on this trip.
