Came to fix my leaking freezer - the first repair was not successful but they came back to fix it at no extra charge.

Drew was amazing at fixing my washer. The service was fast and with good quality.

Our experience was amazing! They were prompt, clean and respectful. Siaosi laid out our options and did a great job. Highly recommend.

I had Famous come out and do a diagnostic on my dishwasher that wasn't working. I have 5 kids love to cook, bake and be in my kitchen, so a working dishwasher is a must. The 10 minute visit was odd. At the beginning he stated how my dishwasher was a $1500 unit, by the end of the visit it had gone from $1500 to $2000 and finally $3000 (with install). I don't know anyone that has paid $3000 for a dishwasher. I felt uncomfortable with it. They quoted me $550 for the repair. I paid for the diagnosis and told them I'd get back to them on doing the job. In the meantime I called a previous company who had come out last year. Turns out it was the exact same issue that I had previously paid $280 to repair - $270 less then what Famous quoted me ($550). The faulty part was covered by warranty and with only a labor fee it was fixed. So glad I followed my gut and didn't hire Famous for the repair work.

Work done as quickly as it could have been over holidays. Follow-up was great and technician Jack was great to work with.

I have used Famous Appliance for several years now. I have been extremely satisfied with their work. They have repaired several different appliances in my home, as well as rental homes that we own and have always arrived promptly, been honest in their work appraisals, as well as been able to provide the service necessary. I would recommend them.

These guys are prompt and efficient. Have gotten same day and next day service when others quote 3-5 days for an appointment. And Thomas is friendly and good at diagnosing and explaining the issues. Won't use anyone else.

We called Famous this morning to schedule a washer repair and they had someone at our home within three hours to fix the washer. Siaosi was very professional and friendly, he fixed our washer and answered our questions. I would highly recommended Siaosi and Famous service to anyone!

Famous came out to look at our refrigerator/freezer that was not freezing. It was an LG with a known compressor issue. The gentleman that came from famous, was so nice and friendly. Because of the known issue he pretty much diagnosed it without even having to look at it, but he took the time pulling it out, taking it apart just to be sure. He then offered some great advice, whether we decide to have famous fix it, or wait for LG to send a tech out to do the warranty work. We decided to wait for LG to fix it but the guy from famous was so helpful. And wasn't rude when I told him we'd probably wait to have it fixed. I will definitely call them again. Then we're open to come right out, and on time and clean and covid cautious.

We used them years ago to clean out our fireplace. This time we brought them back to fix the regulator on our fireplace and a leak on our washer. They came out and gave us a quote and came back when the parts came in to fix both. Excellent communication and service through the whole process. After they were done they asked if there was anything else we could do in my wife even had them help us move a heavy treadmill our daughter had just bought. Amazing employees.

Our refrigerator malfunctioned the week before Christmas. When we checked into purchasing a similar model we learned that we could not have it delivered until February. That is when we contacted .Famous Appliance Service. Our experience with the support staff and technician from Famous Appliance Service was highly positive. Our request for support was actioned in a timely manner. When the technician arrived he was very professional and diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. He had to order a part, and when it came in it was put in within a few minutes. We will recommend Famous Appliance Service to others.

Famous Appliance was able to come fix my microwave and provided great service with a knowledgeable repair person. I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

If I could give no stars I would, and they didn't even help me. I'm writing this review because my mom is too nice. I was visiting with my mom when this company showed up to fix her Thermador dishwasher. First of all, the guy was working very slowly. I know because I was waiting for him to leave. At the end of his visit he charged my mom $159.00 per hour for labor!!!!! When she asked why so high... He gave a crap answer about how they don't really have a set price for labor...Then he charged her roughly 3X's the price for parts. After he left we called around to find this out. All in all, it was my mom's own dumb fault for not reading these reviews. She just looked them up in the phone book and chose them because of their one year guarantee. Well, her full bill was $603.71, I think that she could have bought a new dishwasher for what that jerk charged her. (Oh... and I would have complained to the company, but the guy that came out was one of the part owners.) DO NOT USE (In)Famous Appliance Repair.

Steve, our repairman, worked to do a thorough maintenance check on both appliances when we only called regarding our washer --- seeking to make sure the dryer did not have fire hazard issues. He was extremely courteous in answering questions and great at following through with needed replacement parts. Famous Appliance was also more conducive to working around customer's hours -- i.e. later in the evening if individuals aren't able to be home during the day at specific times. - THEY'RE GREAT!!! CALL THEM!!!

Technician inspected the appliance and identified problem with the water valve to the ice maker, but failed to reconnect the water line. As a result, my kitchen flooded and required days of restoration efforts to mitigate the damage. Will never use this vendor again.

The service provided was very professional. The repairman was presentable and efficient. He explained what was needed in an understandable way. He noticed that our refrigerator fan was vibrating while cleaning out the condenser and was able to replace it before it caused us more problems and expense. However, the price charged for this service was exorbitant. After looking more carefully at the bill, the labor cost alone amounted to more than $100 per hour.

My dishwasher stopped heating the water and drying the dishes after the rinse cycle. Service was scheduled 3-6 pm and the tech was available at 1:30. I had already removed the dishwasher from the cabinet and tested the obvious stuff myself so the tech had the easiest diagnosis on the planet. He spent about 15 minutes finding the problem then quoted me $538 for a circuit board replacement. He acted kind of put off when I asked him to explain to me what exactly was broken and how he knew that the circuit board was dead. $350 parts and almost $200 labor for the job. I found the circuit board online directly from the manufacturer for $151 (and even cheaper through third party suppliers) and its literally 2 screws and a few electrical plugs to replace the part. Even though I did most of the techs work for him and he didn't have to put the dish washer back together (at my request) after his diagnosis, I was charged full $80 for the service. I thought when I set up the appointment I was getting a good deal because they will apply that cost towards the repair price, but the labor and parts costs were so over inflated its no longer a good value. 2* because they did perform their service properly, but because of the techs attitude and price gouging I will go with a different company for appliance diagnosis and repairs in the future.

Thumbs down!! They ll take you for a ride on parts. In some cases 10 times what you could order it for yourself. Was desperate to get dryer fixed ASAP and they took advantage of that. In the end paid more for a new heating element & blower belt then when I bought the dryer new originally. Over $600. Those parts usually run online from $20-80, and $20-$37. I get that i am the sucker that agreed to it lol. I don t recommend them unless you want to overpay like I did.

The guy was on time, very nice, and very quick. The pricing on the other hand felt a little like I was being taken advantage of but I come from a background of working with home warranties so I've gotten to see a lot behind the scenes.

$70 visit. Quickly diagnosed and quote over $400 to repair. So stuck saying yes to fixing it or pay him $70 to see if another repair service was less. So, lesson learned to shop a little before hand or be stuck.

However, repair went well and oven is working again.

The technician came to our home. He diagnosed $750 to replace shocks and front rubber to fix banging noise with the washer. He hid not even noticed the spider was broken. How can he missed that! If I would have agreed for the fix it would have then cost another fortune to really fix the issue. It really looks like the tech did not know much about washer.

They came out and did a good job on repaired my fridge and put in a new disposal. Siaosi was quick.

We had our dryer and range not working and we called Famous Appliance and they came the same day and fixed the range. And then cleaned out dryer vent and replaced the heating part for the dryer. Now there is heat coming through. I might be able to do laundry again. I hope it works for along time. Can't live without these items!

I called and within 2 hours they were here and my washer was repaired quickly. They were nice, friendly, and clean. They are an organized company! I also wasn't exposed to repairman crack - which is a nice plus!

terrible, horrible, disgusted experience with these guys. they are manipulative, conniving, and secretly add on extra fees at the end of their services. i will never use them again and will advise all to not use them. email me if you have any questions.

Not very happy with this company. Ultimately, dishwasher was repaired and it ONLY took 7 weeks ( which I find unexceptionable). I realize the pandemic has delayed the ability to be timely, but 7 weeks. Considering all that is happening around the country, if I had only got an update or two that would have really helped. No one called me or left me a message; nor was there any communication as to when they were coming to finish the job. I almost canceled the job and hired someone else. My feeling right now is that I ll NEVER use this company again!

I have used this company for services on my washer/dryer, dishwasher, and HVAC. Through these services I have interacted with a few different technicians. I return to this company each time because of their clean and non-smoking technicians that don't leave a lingering smell in my home or make me feel like I need to hide anything of value. One out of four times the 3 hour service window was missed and they didn't communicate until after the window had passed. I only priced around the first job and it was fair, so I am a return customer because of who I allow in my home. Most recently, Drew was very helpful.

Phil knew right awaywhat the problem was and had it fixed that day!!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!! I would call them again in a heart beat.

Drew came out today over an hour early and was super helpful. Drew had the part in his truck and was able to get to work right away. Checked out a few of my other household appliances and explained a lot of stuff. Super knowledgeable great experience.

Technician came after hours around 7pm to fix our fridge. He did an AWESOME job. It was quick and painless, no mess, very courteous and professional. Clean, nothing shady. Gave us a quick quote, got it fixed, and it was done. Fridge works great now. THANK YOU

This company was a total rip off. The repair man told me that I needed two parts. One part to my stove the repair man tried to charge me $150 for . I bought it and installed it myself for $34. The receptacle he said was $50. I bought it for $10.31 and it really didn t even need to be replaced. After I put the little box on it worked without me tearing into the wires. The repair man was pretty nice however he tried to charge me $188 for labor. So as you see your company tried to charge me almost $500. I m definitely gonna report you to the Better Business Bureau. You suck!!!

Disabled daughter called them to have her refrigerator looked at, it was not running. A technician came out did not pull the refrigerator out took down model numbers looked them up and told her the compressor was shot and that it would be $1100 to replace it. She refused, she does not have this kind of money. We called another appliance repair they replaced the switch on the compressor for less than $200. They (Famous)has not refunded the money she paid for the service call.

I had someone come out to level the legs on my wash machine. The first thing he said was who installed the duct work to the dryer because the carry a much better dryer vent then the one I had installed. He then gave me a quote for my leveling of washer legs which he said would take 20-25 minutes. The price $$$$168.00. Which if I had the work done then they would take 20.00 off the 40.00 fee just to come to my home. Then when I said no I won't pay this price he said, How much do you think this would have cost? Really? He made my invoice out then charged me 2.78 in tax. This means they are charging over 500.00/HR. Don't use them! I have used other companies in the past. They will RIP YOU OFF!

Drew arrived ahead of schedule and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He assessed my problem and had the parts on his truck! It was completed efficiently and quickly. I highly recommend Famous Appliance Service. I m sure all their employees excel but I ll be asking for Drew!

I had a great experience with Famous Appliance. They came the same day at a prompt time. Steve was very informative about what needed to be done to fix my fridge. I would definitely call them in the future.

We contacted Famous Appliance for repair of our Frigidaire washer. They provided same day, friendly and efficient service. While on site they also checked our refrigerator coils and dryer vent to notify us of any problem. There was no high pressure sales tactic used, the service was provided in a timely and efficient manner and we were satisfied. I would definately recommend their services.

My experience with Famous Appliance Repair is very disappointing. Before calling for a repair, I removed several components of my clothing s dryer to see if I could determine the cause of the problem. Using my volt meter, I was able to determine that these components were in working order. I set up the appointment with the understanding there was a $70 charge to come out and diagnose the problem with my dryer. The repair diagnosed the problem as a defective Control Board for Whirlpool dryer. The cost of repair was to be $521.43 (Control board $320.00, one hour labor $178.51, tax $33.43) I had to pay half for him to order the part. The part had to be ordered and would take five days. After the five days a different repairman came to install the Control Board. After looking at the dryer, he told me the original repairman was in error and did not require the Control Board. I had three other components, which need to be replaced. Two of the components, he had on his truck. A third component, a thermal fuse, he would have to get from his shop. He said the three parts plus labor would be greater than the price of the Control Board, but that he would not charge any more than the original estimate. I had tested two of the three components before calling for service, and they both were in working order.

After replacing the third part the following day, replaced the thermal fuse, the service man gave me a forth part indicated he had replaced it also. Remember, I had checked two components prior to the service call, and both were working. After the second repairman removed the parts, they were defective.

After challenging the repairman regarding cost of repair, the repairman reduced the total repair price by all most $200.00. Appliance repair is Not an appliance repair service which I would recommend. They are overpriced for parts and labor. I also questions their repair serviceman s skills.

I was very pleased when Famous Appliance came to my house the day that I called. However, it took over a week to get the necessary part in and the charge was quite high - which I paid in advance. I would be curious to know what a second opinion might have been.

I have had FAS come out to my houses and work on my washers and dryers. Today Ben came out to fix my washer and did a wonderful job. He knew his stuff and gave knowledgeable choices and options. Also he did not try and sell me extra parts and just did what i need done to keep my washer running for a long time to come. THANKS BEN!!!

I asked him to repair my washing machine and he did a little clean up and it worked fine. Then he asked if there was another appliance that needed looking at and I had him check out a convection oven and he looked up the part for me and everything. I was very impressed that he was thorough and did more than was asked. I will call again.
