Very good doctor who actually does care about you . I m sure junkies leave bad reviews because he cuts them off of their subs when they fail multiple drug screens or he figures they are just there to get something to get high. If you actually want to stay clean he is a very good doctor to help you achieve this.
Been Going to Dr. Bashir for over 13yrs. He is aVery Kind, Thorough Doctor. Has a Wide Variety of Medical Test in Office. Had My Echo there. Found a Heart Murmer that StonyBrook Hosp Missed. Treats My Entire Family. Very Helpful, Wise and kind. Staff is Always Helpful.

I have been a patient of Dr Ahmed s for a few years now. I have become close with the staff and of course Dr Ahmed. He is a very thorough doctor and he takes his time with each patient which is why sometimes people may say they waited a little while to see him. He will take just as long with you when it s your turn. The office is a new office and it s beautiful. I would recommend any of my family or friends to this office. Always a pleasant experience.

Staff is great. Facility is clean. I had blood drawn on two consecutive visits, an ultrasound on my arteries, and was sent home with a portable ekg/heart monitor. I'm guessing everything came out ok, but i was never told of the findings. I was prescribed vitamin D 1000mg, one pill was $15. Instead of telling me to pick up a bottle otc with a months supply that would cost about $7 and get the same results.
Worst doctor always wants to make money ..how did he even got license to work in Suffolk county ?? Avoid this guy do yourself a very big favor please stay away!!

Rude, doesn't make you feel comfortable. He doesnt answer questions professionally, throws his hands up, when HES done with the conversation. I usually leave unsatisfied with no helpful information .
Worst doctor ever, worst care I've ever received,worst bedside manner I've ever experienced. I was being cared for under Dr. Bashir Ahmed for just under 2 months for an upper respiratory infection and during that time I was getting worst. I had to go to Stonybrook emergency room after experiencing severe breathing problems, I was giving different medication by Stonybrook doctors and was feeling better after just 24 hour, within a week it was finally over. I would never recommend him to anyone if I could give a zero rating, I would. Dr. Ahmed has no compassion and in my opinion is no doctor but a fraud.
I have been going to this office for a couple months now - while I would appreciate a doctor who would more openly discuss things with me rather then typing on the computer. I stay for the convenience and the staff. They are polite, HONEST and helpful. I needed referrals for specialist - I am new to the area so I asked and they gave me a list that take my insurance! Specifically, Kristen is amazing at drawing blood. I HATE HATE HATE needles and giving blood and she made me feel calm. She went about her job while having a regular conversation with me and completely distracting me from the fact that she was even taking blood. She is beyond fantastic.
I would recommend Dr. Ahmed and his staff to anyone looking for a qualified doctor and nice, friendly, courteous staff. I've been going here for over a year now and the staff is amazing. All of the women up front do a great job and if I need something done, they do it right every time. Dr. Ahmed is also thorough and knows what he is doing. Never a long wait and overall, they all do a great job! Very pleased with this office!
This office can't get 1 task complete. I have had patients for weeks concerning lab work as things happen. Finally I had enough and I had to complain the front desk couldn't handle me upset and got nasty! Whatever the dr says to you he doesn't follow up properly for the rest of his staff to fufill! Don't bother here unless you want to do all the work of basing labs and to even get a call back!
Dr. Ahmed is wonderful. He always answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. His staff even gave us a coupon they had for one of the medications my husband was on that saved us since insurance wasn't covering the name brand at the time. I always felt like he genuinely cared about his patients. I don't know how he has bad reviews because all of that couldn't have been further from the truth. We came to him for years but moved out of town and had to change doctors because he was too far to travel. I think he turns away a lot of people shopping for pill scripts, I've been in the waiting room when people like that have been there. So that's where the reviews come from where people say they were there for "pain" and he told them to take ibuprofen.

The most disgusting doctor's office I've ever been to. Looks like someone urinated everywhere and smells like a dirty kennel. They use an at home scale for your weight as well. The doctor did not explain to me what was wrong with me and when I asked I was given an attitude. He did not tell me what he was prescribing and was extremely rude. I will not be going back and would never recommend for anyone to. I waited an hour and twenty minutes for the worst experience in my life.
Please be advised i didn't even want to give 1 star i had to choose from 1-5. Otherwise i would choose negative 5 . He should be in 7/11 making coffee i don't know who gave him the license for being a MD. I don't think he even listens the patients that come visit him for their check ups or issues.

Last place to go if you think he "gives out" pain medication. Dr.is thorough. Only complaint I have is I always end up having to see "someone" else. I thought that was job the "family dr.?" Things I was told to see "another dr" was nothing more than "sharing the buck". For that reason I might have to find another "family dr."

The absolute worst doctor I have ever met in my entire life. I suffer from extreme migraines. My mother, two sisters and brother suffer from migraines. This guy had the gall to say I do not have migraines. I had one when I was looking straight at him. Find a doctor that actually cares about his patients because this one does not. I was in his office for 2 and 1/2 hours and he never even examined me.
My mother and I have been a patient with Dr. Ahmed for 10+ years. The office has always been helpful and have gone out of their way to help us when needed. I moved upstate and still travel down monthly to see him because I've known him for so long and probably will stay that way

Very Good doctor, always flexible with appointments
I went there a few times last year and stopped going. Reason:
1. They had me take some expensive test for heart issues. I had to take a whole day off from work, etc. I called them for months later (many times) asking if there were results. They said they would get back - but never did.
2. In the office the Dr. kept on looking on the computer and not responding to any of my questions. There was no point in going.
My insurance wouldn't take my old doctor so I wanted to try a new doctor in my area. He said he could not refill the meds I'm on or do anything for me. These meds are very needed he didn't even find me somewhere else to go
This 2nd should have had his medical licence pulled. He would give me 120 Percocet a month without any Maris cat scans ECT, no medical documentation to allow one to prescribe opiods, he is a poor practitioner to say the least.He Should have his Lisence pulled for fueling the opioid epidemic as other Mrs were held accountable, let the attorney general look at his charts HE'S A DRUG DEALER IN A WHITE COAT .

I went to the doctor to get my PPD read and then the doctor said that he would not read it because it looks like the date was altered. Who has time to falsify PPD results? I'm switching to a new primary care physician.

The Staff and Dr. Ahmed are the best. That being said, one always must be proactive in regards to their individual life. There is not a solitary human being who has the ability to read minds. What you get, is what you give.
