Family Health Center, SC Review

The WORST PLACE EVER! DO NOT GO TO THE OBGYN there!!!! The Midwife there is living in an unrealistic world! She does not go the extra mile when it's needed or even mandatory. "Wait and see" are her favorite words. Those same words could have been more detrimental to my health if I had sat and WAITED! It's way too personal to give exact details but let's just say I found another physician who went that extra mile to find the problem and treat it before it was unfixable.

Like many youth and adults the thoughts of dental visits are uncomfortable right down to horrible...but the dental team at this health center facility was the opposite; very attentive to my fears of them and they didn't appear like monsters waiting to dig into my month with pleasure. Instead the team together kept my fears away and worked in my month with no cause for me to tense up in their dental chair...I actually was brave for the first time in my fifty plus years. Thank you and I will stay on schedule with my next dental appointment.

There are pros and cons to this place. Been going here back and forth for yrs. Today it was quick and Mrs Matthews was awesome. The way they change providers I'm sure she not gone b there when I come back. Staff was nice and did their job swiftly. Dats a huge step from wat I was use to in the past.

This is the worst place I have ever been to to see a doctor. Three hour wait still no doctor no communication either.

Zero stars if I could! You walk in this dirty ran down building and every receptionist is on the phone gossiping with each other so I m guessing that s why I couldn t get through to OBGYN department. They gave me the run around, told me to come back twice just for a print out . Went to medical records & they can t keep up with files but could make you wait just to talk about hair stylist. They re pitiful.

Worst place to ever be seen. As soon as I walked in they turned my around because they didn't have a walk-In doctor to see me. DONT EVER take your family to this place if you don't want to be upset.

Unorganized. The facility does not take responsibility for the mistakes that they make.
Only reason they are getting one star is because I can't give them less than that and still post it!

Horrible experience from the receptionist on up to the doctor they are rude nasty and apparently suffer from short term memory loss

Don't walk, run.....away from this place. I scheduled a 1:00 PM dental appointment, only because they are in my network. That morning, they called my cell phone and when I answered, they put me on hold! After about 5 minutes of waiting, I hung up. They called back about a half hour later and wanted to know if they could reschedule me for 3:00 PM. I arrive at my appointment and spend a half hour waiting. They take me in, the dentist walks in says she has a 4 o'clock and has to leave. She spends about 2 minutes in my mouth says I need extensive cleaning, come back in a week and they'll get started. They'll do a quarter of my mouth at a time, it will take 2 hours per visit. They schedule a 2 hour block for the following week.
I go back a week later and I'm told by the hygienest that she's going to complete my exam, since I didn't get a full exam last time, then she's going to send me to a peridontist! After a lengthy discussion, I told her we were done, got out of the chair and sprinted out the door. Go anywhere but here.

The nurse Kenthia Wright was nice... but it took over 3 hours for my kids to get seen by a doctor.. I don t recommend anyone.

I like this place because they work with u if u don't have insurance and really do care about your well-being.

Just say no. It took a while to get my insurance straight so I took the earliest appointment I could get at any clinic. This clinic... My first appointment the receptionist was extremely rude. It was scheduled for 8 a.m. and I was told I would be the first appointment of the day. I wasn t called back until 8:45 and the DOCTOR I was told I would be seeing was NOT seeing me. Instead a midwife saw me at 9:45, nearly two hours after my appointment time I was seen by someone other than the doctor I set up with with no explanation! But they billed my insurance saying I was seen by the doctor. I had blood work done and the nurse finished and sent me home only to call me an hour later and tell me that I had to come right back because I didn t finish all of my blood work. I couldn t come right back and I live 40 minutes away so I had to drive and hour 20 minutes round trip the next day because they made a mistake. My final straw was I called to confirm my appointment time the morning of my appointment and 15 minutes early at 9:45. When I gave the receptionist my name she very rudely barked at me, uh uh No! You were supposed to be here at 9:30. I told her I called that morning and confirmed the time and she told me I was wrong and to reschedule. At this point I was livid. Go to any other clinic!

The worst ever! No doctors...how do you have a health center with no doctors! I have been trying to get my prescription for 2mths. They tell me only walkin available but theres no doctor. When I asked where else should I go because its important I get this prescription for asthma Im starting to have trouble breathing without my meds...receiptionist says well go to ER then. Its the ghetto what do you expect right!!!

The dental department is awesome ! Cierra , Tiffany , Dr Hill are the best !!!

I went. to obgyn there services are good bfffut the dentist not so good. I got my tooth pulled Friday on the 7th and now its infected

I went to Urgent Care to be seen almost two weeks ago and went back on Monday morning to be told the people were there but, wasn't seeing anyone. Sounded fishy, but I don't have time to argue.

I've been going to family health center for yrs and you think they would of gotten better no I've seen doctors come and go I've had nothing but problems with family health lost medicine or the pharmacy saying I never called it in when I did lost appointments make a appointment go up there they say they can't find me in the system it's crazy I've gotten on them so many times about these problems but when your on a fixed income it's all you can do but go here half the time I can't get my meds filled cause the pharmacy phone just rings and rings Noone picks up this place needs to step up and stop jerking me around its crazy how they do people and the wait to see a doctor why do they schedule you a time you show up and they make you wait 3 hours what's with that it's like they schedule people all with the same time as you and then expect you to wait no that's wrong

I wouldn't give this place a stare but had to in order to leave my review. I was treated bad by the OBGYN doctors. I'm pregnant with no signs of HCG I know it sounds weird but my first child I had was the same way. In North Carolina they treat you with respect (Charlotte) CMC that is they will not let you go until they find the issue rather you have insurance are not we get treated equally. In South Carolina if you don't have it your dead basically but anyways back to what I was saying. The doctor told me to my face that she refuse to do any test on me because of my attitude. So I'm like you mean to tell me you refuse to help me and I'm hurting. I sat in that chair going back and forth with the lady crying and asking for help, no help until she got mad and went and got the head doctor who still didn't help me any only gave me a blood test which I told the lady would not work because my body don't produce HCG but I Still can have kids please give me a ultrasound which CMC did with my first child that's how they confirmed my first pregnancy but the doctors down here in orangeburg SC think they are right. I been hurting for months and still can't get any help from the hospital are this so called family health center. People please if you have good transportation go somewhere else they killing people down here.

This place is a PURE JOKE they kept rescheduling my appointments after I showed up and missed work them 4 months later I walked in and had to make them give me an appointment after I was promised to be called one they get certain supplies

Good Doctor and they help when you don't have insurance, any kind of way
