Family Circle Cup Review

I love this place! I come every year for the Volvo Car Open/Family Circle Cup!

This place is a family friendly and fun place to play tennis and watch pro tennis players on court!!!!

That is the place to be. Such wonderful people. The managers knew what they were doing. But I got say. The usher coordinaters was quite exceptional. I really enjoyed. Can't wait until 2020

Great facility for a tennis tournament. As a fan you can get so close to the action it's almost unbelievable.

Volvo Cup at Family Circle is a great clay court tournament. Friendly, helpful staff, great facilities.

Great venue offering an assortment of entertainment, sports, special interests and community events throughout the year. The grounds and entire facility are beautifully landscaped and maintained.

Went for the 311 concert. The show was amazing. However, the sound system left much to be desired. Since the stage was on the old tennis court, and the stands were elevated and surrounding it, there was no wind on the ground; it was extremely hot and uncomfortable.

Nice place, first time there, great for any pro venue!

Been to several concerts here. Great venue. Does not feel like there is a bad seat in the place.

My family and I love going to concerts here. We had a great time at the Darius Rucker show Sunday night. It rained the entire concert and Darius got too drunk but we still had a great time

Changed to the Volvo Car Open has been GREAT all week Great Tennis

As the official photographer of the Volvo Car Open (formerly the Family Circle Cup), I think this is one of the most AMAZING tennis facilities in the country. It's hard to believe that when this world class professional tennis tournament isn't in town, the Family Circle Tennis Center is open to the public to join and play on their beautiful courts. They have both hard courts and clay courts available, a great club house with gift shop, changing rooms, convenient parking, etc. Throughout the year, the stadium is also home to a variety of fantastic concerts and events! It's a wonderful stadium with an intimate atmosphere, and not a bad seat in the house!

Very good facility. But 90% clay courts, so it takes some getting used to if your home club is hard courts.

Asked a stadium full of people to go to the secondary stadium with half or less seats to view the doubles so that the old tennis pros, about as old as me, could come to play. What a rip_off. It's all about money, but not the fans'. This tournament won't be here for long.

Lots of improvements this year. It was great before but always like new and innovative ideas. The best way to see the tournament is to volunteer.

We came there -- two families with 5 young kids -- and had a wonderful time. Well organized small venue. Adults and kids alike enjoyed the tournament

Went there for an event and it was very confusing how to get to my seat

It was a little confusing as to where to park, where to meet the shuttle buses. But the venue was great. It was so cold on our night that only 40+ people were in the stands, but we got sit right behind the players. Really nice facility in every way.

This is a great place to watch tennis. You can really get up close to some of the stars.

This is a great venue for the Family Circle Cup, or for spectating any tournament. The facility is beautiful, clean, and has plenty of shade. The people are very friendly, too.

Unfortunately the stands were not full for the final day of the WTA tournament. Being that area kids were on break from school, other events happening around the area, ticket pri es, or even the to seeds being knocked out - whatever the case - it still posed as a great day. The directors of the Open made a decision to grant rainchecks from the previous days rain storm that cancelled most of the matches, a decision they had never had to make in the history of the tournament. They made a great choice to bump the attendance and also make the participation greatful - as I for one did not appreciate being told my day was done after one full match and less than one set played from another - not even a half day of what I paid for my family.

Lots of activities and food options were available - so if there was no interest in who was playing, one could stay busy. Kids were upset a little when one physical activity was closed off due to wi-fi being down while we had the chance between games. I missed a little tennis play due to lines, should have been expected since the schedule was packed to finish.

First time experience for this type of sporting event. Learn to adjust to make it more fruitful the next time the tournament comes next year. It was fun.

Tickets can be pricey for outdoor concerts but a great venue for any type of event.

Went to see Collective Soul, Our Lady Peace, and Tonic in concert here. Not a bad seat in the house. Good food and beer variety. Great night except for a 20 minute rain delay. Beautiful views of nighttime Charleston skyline.

Great tennis facility. Mostly clay courts, which are well maintained. The pro shop is nice and includes locker rooms with showers.

LEGIT tennis courts. Awesome complex. Solid hard true courts. Court lights for night play are awesome. Coolers stocked with ice water at all times. Whomever runs this place, job well done - keep it up!

Not a bad seat in the house. We have been to probably 15 or more concerts here and they are always the best. The environment of the stadium always lends itself to a great night. A breeze almost always pops up cools things off a little so it makes those hot summer night concerts a lot more comfortable than you would think. Do yourself a favor and go see a show here, you will be glad you did and all the groups seem to like it as well.

Great atmosphere, facility, and courts. The HarTru is really fun. It's in a beautiful area.

Great family-friendly event; especially appreciated the free parking!

If you get the chance do not miss this event. I flew down from Pennsylvania for this and I am going next year.

Bocephus was great, but I was blown away by Frank Foster! What an awesome country show!

Bad Policy! WTH! Our friends bought tickets in December and came from NC for Saturday today and got rained out! They were told they couldn't come back on Sunday tommorrow unless they bought more tickets! They weren't even able to see any of the matches due to the rain!

I've always loved going to watch Volvo car open. If you ever get the chance you should definitely go out. It is worth it!

Good views wherever you sit. Don't take food or drink with you. You can't take it in. Average food outlets inside and free water fountains.

Awarding Family Circle Cup even 1 star is giving them too much credit. The customer service affiliated with the ticket sales is horrendous. Jennifer Ferrell, the ticket manager has got to be one of the RUDEST people i've ever had the misfortune of speaking too... I understand there are limitations to what the office in charleston can help you with but attitude from the MANAGER is disrespectful and gives the company as a whole a terrible lasting impression.

Awesome place. The tennis was great even when watching unknown players. Daniel's island is pretty nice too.

Awesome awesome awesome. I miss playing there. The pros are the best. They have fun socials at least once a month. Great clinics. Welcoming members and staff. Loved the tennis cloths and gear available in the store. The courts are very well kept by maintenance. You surely can not beat the pricing of the membership. The location makes its easy to access for everyone.

A very enjoyable tournament! Great location and tournament grounds.

Went to Family Circle to play in a pickleball tournament. The courts are non-standard. The fence is way too close to the courts and affects play. I would not recommend playing pickleball at this location.

This is now the Volvo Stadium. Great place for a live show. Small venue, most every seat is great.
