Breathtaking, beautiful, quaint. This is a must see for anyone who loves nature and has an affinity for Frank Loyd Weight and his uniquely genius architecture. This pictures tell for whole story for this review.
Dues to covid, the tour is just on the outside of the house, but even that is wonderful experience! On ample land that has hikes along streams, beautiful flowers and even a cliff overlook of a train and river of you venture to out to explore a bit more. But the house itself! Such a creative genius
A surreal place, a perfect combination of nature and man. Be advised they are still in Covid protocol so you can not see as much of the house due to that, so no bedrooms access. Small groups only, so expect to wait. Still worth it!
A beautiful example of Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural genius. Fallingwater is stunning and awe-inspiring. I must have said "WOW" at least a thousand times.
Obviously a very unique house and grounds for the walking tour. I feel like I got a lot of value from the grounds tour. Sadly, we couldn t get a house tour at this time. Lots of hilly walking. Be prepared for that.
Amazing and the inside is open again. The employees who give the tour are polite, good natured and helpful. This was a bucket list trip for me and gave me so much joy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Falling Water! We went Easter weekend and it wasn't too crowded. It was also chilly so that may have kept the crowds down. I went with 3 other adults and we spent about 2 & 1/2 hours there. I am mostly writing this review because of out experience with the staff. One person in our party had mobility issues. They were able to make it down to the house, but most likely wouldn't have been able to get back up. The staff was so very helpful and kind in arranging a ride back up to the top. I've never met staff more enthusiastic about their jobs. They were very knowledgable and you could tell they were passionate about their work. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in nature, history or architecture. Thanks again for a great experience!
Really enjoyed exploring the grounds and outside of the house. The inside was closed but looking forward to going back when it is fully open. Employees were all friendly and knowledgeable.
I'm a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wright's work. This was my second trip. The grounds are beautiful in winter and summer. There is a nice visitor center with a cafe, gift shop and art gallery. On my second trip, I did an interior tour which was a little disappointing because we were limited to the first floor. I will definitely visit again. I would also recommend visiting the Flight 93 Memorial and Kentuck Knob since they are in the area.
Loved being here on a cold, rainy January day (2020). Had the place practically to myself and while I couldn't go inside I was able to explore the grounds and outside of this amazing house at my own pace. Very peaceful and wishing this was our weekend/vacation home over the falling water.

Fallingwater: A National Historic Landmark
Fallingwater is a masterpiece of architecture designed by America's most famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. It was built for the Kaufmann family in 1935 and has since become one of the most iconic buildings in the world. Fallingwater is located in Western Pennsylvania and is now a National Historic Landmark that attracts thousands of visitors every year.
Frank Lloyd Wright was known for his unique style of architecture, which he called "organic architecture." He believed that buildings should be designed to blend seamlessly with their natural surroundings. This philosophy is evident in Fallingwater, which was built on top of a waterfall and blends perfectly with its surroundings.
The Kaufmann family commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design their weekend home after falling in love with his work. They wanted a house that would allow them to enjoy nature while still being comfortable and luxurious. Fallingwater exceeded their expectations, and it quickly became famous around the world.
Today, Fallingwater is owned by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, which is entrusted with preserving this architectural masterpiece for future generations to enjoy. The conservancy has done an excellent job of maintaining the building's original features while also making it accessible to visitors.
Visitors can take guided tours of Fallingwater and learn about its history and unique design features. The house has several levels that are built into the hillside, giving visitors stunning views of the surrounding forest and waterfall. The interior features many original furnishings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright himself.
In addition to tours, Fallingwater also hosts special events throughout the year such as lectures, workshops, concerts, and exhibitions related to art or architecture.
If you're planning a visit to Western Pennsylvania or are interested in architecture or design history then visiting Fallingwater should be at the top of your list! It's an experience you won't forget anytime soon!
