The Renaissance at Newport Beach was a complete pleasant surprise, everything about the hotel was nice. The staff was pleasant and the room outstanding with very nice amenities. I wish I could have stayed for several days. Was sad to leave after only one night. Definitely one of my favorite hotels.
This has been such a nice hotel to stay are probably one of the best that I've ever been. The bed is so comfortable which is really mind-blowing for a hotel. the room is super comfortable the amenities or really nice the pool is excellent. there are cabanas that you can rent although they're quite expensive but the pool has been quiet every night that we've been here. this hotel is extremely expensive everything about it is very costly this is not the kind of place that I would ever pick to staying if my employer hadn't bought the room for me. There's no free hot coffee (about $4 a cup) and the breakfast buffet is 27$. Also overnight parking was 33$.
Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel! For the price and the location, you really can t beat it. We would definitely stay here again. The hotel is clean and upscale, a little more coastal and modern than your standard Marriott. The staff were really friendly, too. And we loved their 24/7 market after we came back from a late night. They sell healthier items like apples and granola bars, and desserts like cookies from their restaurant and ice cream. We didn t have to deal with valet parking (yay!) and it only cost $20 per day to park. It was easy enough to find parking, and the parking garage isn t as far of a walk as it appears from the road- it s very simple and easy to navigate.
The room is really nice. Better than you would expect for the price. Bathroom is also spacious, well-lit, and includes a lighted makeup mirror (a little too high on the wall for my height, though). Shower is also really nice as well.
Not sure why there are complaints about the bed. My husband and I found it very comfortable, and we own a firm tempur-pedic mattress. Pillows and bedding were also high quality and comfortable. There is also coffee in the room (a must). There s also a closet with hangers, a safe, and a space to put your luggage out of the way.
The gym had up-to-date equipment from Life Fitness. Their treadmills and weighted cables were great. They also have a nice selection of free weights, kettle bells, and medicine balls. They also have towels and bottled water! You ll see a view of the pool while you workout. Only improvement would be to add fans and make sure the water machine is filled and sanitizing wipes are stocked.
Don't stay here. The manager Cenovio is a tool. He knew nothing about the issues, and had the nerve to tell me that my handicapped wife didn't need to park on their private property. When I finally was able to reach him after a month of him or the other manager dodging my phone calls. They charged us, and not 1 vallet offered to help us. There was no AC In our room, we weren't told about the incidental charge upfront. The front desk clerk Corina was so rude, and didn't care about the concerns I had, and I can go on and on about the accommodations, or lack there of, but I won't. I will never stay at another Marriott ever again. I know they're going to reply with a pre written apology, and an email, so please don't bother. You guys will never have my business.
I personally want to thank Carina at the front desk for being kind and accommodating my request! To me, that was great customer service because I knew that she didn t have to grant my request, but she chose to anyway. Even though I was only there for one night, it was an AMAZING stay. I ve been to many Marriott properties and this is the best one that I ve been to. Very modern and hipster, I loved it! Thank you for making my stay a great one Carina!
OC is open and ready to have fun!!! The Renaissance NP is close to everything. Really enjoyed the stay. Great staff.
Normal size room. Hotel finishing is not of good quality. You can hear water flowing from above room. No bathroom ventilation. Expensive parking fees; no free parking lot. Lobby is crowded and noisy because the bar is part of the lobby. Good housekeeping service. Friendly staff. You can request your car to be brought by sending SMS text message. Bath amenities are per request; they don t provide them to the room until you request them.
$150 dollar pet fee is very high compared to other hotels. I have a 25 pound mini golden doodle and was charged the full $150 for only 1 night. I have taken this dog to many other hotels and this is by far the most I have paid. Most places charge $50 Max and I have gotten some places to completely wave the fee since my dog doesn't shed. I am very disappointed.
The Staff was wonderful and the hotel was clean and quiet.
The fitness center was open which is always a plus for me I loved the comfort of the bed. Overall The stay was amazing! Thank you, Renaissance for stepping up your game!
I had the privilege to stay in this wonderful hotel last weekend. I was there for a wedding at 2PM coming from Seattle so I was worried about not having enough time to get ready since my check in was not until 4PM. Carina helped me make adjustments and got approval to get me checked in earlier because of my situation. Because of this, I was able to make it to the wedding stress-free. This can seem like a small thing for others, but for someone who is flying from out of town to attend a wedding (for only 5 hours, then heading back to the airport), this meant a lot.
I will make sure my friends stay at this hotel whenever they are in town. Thanks Carina!
