Our dog has been treated here for inflamed pancrea...

Our dog has been treated here for inflamed pancreas, seen too many different vets with different explanations for the clinical picture. Finally, after 10 days of treatment, we were allowed to pick up our dog again, the dog was declared cured. We were very happy so the 3300 that we had to pay immediately in cash we increased. When we got home our dog appeared to have a urinary tract infection in Utrecht. Just a few days later we had to go back to our own vet with the same pancreas problems. Our vet had heard a completely different story from Utrecht, our dog turned out to be much sicker than we had been told in Utrecht, unfortunately we had to decide to put our dog to sleep because healing was no longer possible. Overall very bad experience and lousy communication. Unbelievable how to train skilled veterinarians in Utrecht. What vet students teach there is how they can earn a lot of money very quickly ....

A lot of time was allocated for the first consultation, and good time was taken to explain everything. It is a pity that I did not receive this explanation in black and white because you have already lost half of the information when you walk out the door. So a tip: give the explanation
paper or put it in a report on the mail, not only to the vet but also to the owner. Fortunately, the doctors are more than willing to answer all questions extensively again.
Many students present in the room, but that makes sense since it is a university clinic. I hope they learned something from my dog!
We still have a nice course of treatment to go, but I have every confidence in the expertise of the doctors!

How friendly and expert we were! Our young lovebird Saartje had gnawed at the weighting cord of the lace curtain. After 5 days she became very short of breath, so went to Utrecht. She was immediately placed in a heat oxygen incubator. After a day put in a normal cage and treated with medication and force feed because she no longer ate. After 2 days she is back home and alive! We must also treat the male against lead poisoning, even if he has no complaints yet.
And 1 1/2 hair ago, our 40 year old red-eared slider very successfully operated on an abscess. We are very satisfied.

This university is the largest crook in the veterinary medicine world. It is not possible to make a price agreement for further research for your pet and they only offer a budget based on a cost estimate. Even if further investigation is supposedly necessary, after extensive prior investigation, they are not yet able to map the final costs and they hide behind 'cost estimation' on which a cost overview is printed. The final costs were 50% higher, for which I had not approved. I am currently in a legal battle with these people, because these abusive practices must be stopped. Stay away from these charlatans, this University has had its best time and are only out to hijack your wallet instead of having the best for your pet.

Never ever go here, really use this as the very last option. Never before have I been treated like a number, your pet is treated without respect behind closed doors, you are not allowed to be there. Suppose you catch them making a mistake, oh yes your pet is more of a test object.

So it's nice to keep everything behind closed doors, those are the rules! A few hours later after a simple procedure you will get your pet back, in the meantime you cannot get anything to drink or buy anything.

The staff would be perfectly at home in a stonemason, showing emotion or empathy what is that? A product we can earn from? No then we don't have it.

Then if the product is delivered immediately pay immediately, if you ask if they send the bill, it is swearing in the church. Quote staff "I've never experienced this before" I believe you put people under pressure. CASH NOW!

This behavior is unacceptable and is inappropriate for a companion animal welfare attitude!

Read the reviews before you go here!

Been several times, because the own veterinarian is closed at the weekend. All times they have not been able to find or fix the problem, but they can cash in quite a bit.

We really do not have a problem if you pay a bit more for evening or weekend work, but then your pet really needs help. We never managed to do that, while our own vet will solve the problem in 5 to 10 minutes the following Monday.

Go here, if it can wait a little, never go!

Our horse has undergone surgery here due to a bacterium in bone. 2x under the knife because operation 1 was not successful. We had to beg for antibiotics after surgery because of the bacteria in his mouth. They refused to give that. Because of this huge infection in his mouth after the operation. Total 6 times including all checks !!! Then we were fed up and we went to the clinic in Lienden. There, the CT scan showed that they had broken their jaw in Utrecht during the operation. AND NOTHING MENTIONED TO US. This also explained all subsequent complications. After a breeding, Lienden immediately gave a cure to kill all harmful bacteria. But because Utrecht is considered holy, there is no doctor who dares to testify against Utrecht. We will never go there again! You pay the first prize, several students are picking your horse and then mistakes are covered up ...

Unfortunately, the knowledge about rabbits is stil...

Unfortunately, the knowledge about rabbits is still very outdated.

In February I went with a Flemish who suffered from pododermatitis. I had called in advance to see if there was an expert in that area as my own vet is also very knowledgeable about rabbits and would therefore require more from the doctor than 'the rabbit has to move and the bedding has to be changed'.
We were received by three interns who performed the anamnesis. They were certainly friendly, but not knowledgeable. Rather pleased that there was a large rabbit at consultation hour.
After waiting 1.5 hours 'the expert' came and asked without touching the rabbit if I knew what agility was. Now I practice this sport with both rabbits, so his talk 'your rabbit needs more exercise' fell into the water.
After I reported again and showed the rabbit her legs to the doctor myself, because physical examination was not done, I could go home with the advice:
Keep it up, you are doing everything right and she no longer has to live inside, just let her move outside
Since it was February, the rabbit could not go out at all!
Ridiculous advice and I have filed a complaint. The complaint took 5 months ...
In short, it is better not to take your rabbit to veterinary medicine Utrecht.

Calling from abroad, I asked to be put in contact with a specialist to understand the kind of operation they would make to my cat for a certain pathology. The receptionist refused saying that only my vet could be put in contact with the specialist. As if my vet is the person deciding where to operate my cat and paying for that. Very idiotic system. And not in the interest of the cat.

During the stay of our dog Funny in the intensive care unit, every doctor on duty hammered on Funny to fall asleep. This while the surgeon Dr. Meij said it could take quite a day or 4 before it was clear whether the operation was successful. Now I realize why, during a conversation the day before euthanasia, the doctor said that Funny could not keep intensive care occupied. Did my dog have to continue early so that people could raise more money?

A few days ago I went with my dog to Dr. Mandigers for an investigation and when I compare this experience with my experiences at other such institutions here in the hague I am very pleased with the state of affairs.

During my visit I thought it would be nice to be able to park right outside the door (something that is not really self-explanatory here in the hague).

Furthermore, on arrival everything was generally immediately clear, the waiting area had more than enough space and seating. What I regretted is that in view of the later date of my appointment the restaurant (already open until 2:00 PM) was already closed.

In the places where I have been it is clean and there was no overdue maintenance visible which I always consider important due to the nature of the institution.

The treatment itself was also very pleasant, my dog has a tendency to become a bit panicky at the vet. However, I noticed that he is less affected by panic than normal in the staff. The anesthetist could make all preparations without difficulty.

During the wait I found that I was kept sufficiently informed about the condition of my dog. However, I had the bad luck that the coffee machine hit through its stock.

Fortunately, after waiting I finally got the redeeming news that my dog is healthy and well, without any signs.

I found the staff I have been in contact with to be very pleasant and hospitable (keep in mind that this is a hospital institution and they may communicate more flatly than you consider "hospitable").

After my experience I advise others to also use this institution and with Dr. Mandigers if you have a pomeranian.

Please note that my experience is not given for your experience, I was fortunate to have expert and pleasant staff!

I want to thank the entire team that cares for my dog for everything!

Best regards,

Top with regard to birds and special animals! Clearly, they are specialists and not a vet who treats a rabbit like a small dog, for example.
The paravets are also very experienced in handling the special animals as stress-free as possible!

Very helpful when our dog Ralph was bitten unexpectedly in his neck and had to undergo emergency surgery. Although part of the staff is in training given the location, they are all professionally and happily the future of veterinarians in the Netherlands. Ralph has recovered completely. Pity that many false reviews have been done on this platform.

People invoice things for which it is clearly agreed that they would not be executed. No research would be done into tumor tissue because my dog would die anyway. That is in writing. Yet these money wolves invoice it and demand payment.

We are very satisfied with the treatments of our dog Kine. The attending physician was very competent, involved and very kind to the dog. Ample time has been taken, extensive research has been carried out and there is good thought from the animal's welfare.
Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of those involved, our dog did not make it. Even after Kine died, the attending physician still contacted us. Very heartwarming.
For these reasons, we would like to thank her and therefore the University Clinic for their good care for our dog!

We are delighted that the Faculty of Veterinary Me...

We are delighted that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine exists. Super sweet and caring people with a passion for the profession. We went there because Swooper (our dog) could no longer walk and his right side had much less muscle. Our own vet didn't know what it could be and referred us. On arrival we were immediately on the turn (emergency) and were assisted by a veterinarian with two co-assistants. What a lot of treasures ... They were so sweet to Swooper. Afterwards, in consultation with the neurologist and surgeon, they decided to have an MRI made. This showed that a hernia was visible with bleeding. Immediately an operation is planned for the next day. In the meantime, Swooper has stayed in the Care plus department. Unfortunately, things went worse later in the night and he was transferred to intensive care. We have been informed about this. We went there immediately and were received very well and sweetly. Today was the operation and luckily everything is fine with Swooper so far. Only the free coffee and the free parking already demonstrate the hospitality. We are eternally grateful to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and I would recommend them to anyone. Mvg Nicky and Erik (the owners of Swooper).

My dog was operated on here for a brain tumor. According to the surgeon there was nothing meaningful about the developments during the first 4 days. However, from day 1, every daily doctor on duty has manipulated me to put my dog to sleep. At some point I received a call and they demanded that I come by. Upon arrival there were 2 doctors waiting who told me that I had to put the dog to sleep. Then why did he have to be operated on ??? Under heavy emotional pressure, I let her fall asleep, which I still regret to this day. Another doctor said that she had been in intensive care for 4 days now and that she could not stay there ...... So let her sleep in so that she could make more money out of her bed?

Everyone who works at this hospital is so incredibly competent, service-oriented and customer-friendly. When emergency recording our white shepherd they have from the beginning to the end ensured that we got information continuously and he got the best care was available.

All steps were carried out in consultation and our dear Dibs were cared for with great dedication and love. We could not have wished for it better.
