Lovely comfortable beds in well appointed rooms. Nice toiletries & huge walk in shower. Views of the cricket ground on one side or the golf course on the other. Good food at higher prices in Beefys Bar. Excellent breakfast with lots of cooked & continental choices plus a cook station where eggs are cooked to your order.

Great business hotel with a fabulous view onto the cricket pitch. Everything about the hotel works; my only criticism is that it's decor is quite masculine, which in the business world of the 21st century seems a bit of an error. Despite the decor which is still 'cool', the spa, the quality of the rooms and service mean that it is somewhere I would recommend...

Attended a work event. Organisation by the Hilton staff was excellent - well laid out refreshment areas and plenty of space to mingle. All the technology worked properly and the seats were comfortable. A very professional experience.

We provided our lighting equipment for a function in the ballroom and were greeted with smiles from the friendly staff and were made to feel very welcome throughout the day. The ballroom was an excellent room to work in and the food provided by the hotel was delicious. We look forward to returning!

Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, suggestive location overlooking the stadium for at least half of the rooms. Very attentive and kind staff, it must be said that they are a gold level in the HH and therefore they are very attentive, but here I have noticed an extra attention

Really nice hotel with very good facilities. Rooms are excellent with all that you would expect from Hilton. The breakfast was very good with a huge selection to cater for all tastes. Only issue was the noise of the central heating pipes could be here all night, which made it difficult to sleep.

Stayed here for 1 night with 2 rounds of golf. Hotel was excellent, with friendly staff. Food was good, however watch out for hidden costs. The golf course was also excellent. Dont be put off by the fact it has 7 par 3's as they all offer a different challenge. Will return!

Wonderful service. Great food in Beefy's restaurant. Choose a cricket facing room and the views of the Ageas Bowl are outstanding. Rooms on the cricket pitch side are spacious with balconies. Prices are high but there are good rates for bed, breakfast and dinner. The hotel is always busy as many of the cruise ships use rooms for their passengers. There is a golf course attached to the hotel as well as Hampshire Cricket. The hotel is also close to Southampton airport and a few minutes from Junction 7 on the M27.

Went for a hospitality morning with our Company. The supplied breakfast was dire, especially the smart price coffee. Meeting/function room was good size with lighting, sound & screen facilities

Whenever i've stayed here it's always been great, The staff from the front desk to the executive lounge have been very friendly whenever I visit. The spa facilities are really well kept and provide a welcome haven when you need to relax.

Has rooms done to a very good modern standard. Came here with wife as all the spa hotel we're booked. Doesn't really cater for spa guests but did the job. Had a room overlooking the cricket ground. Must be amazing during a live cricket match. absolutely stunning golf course next to hotel also (looking from the surface anyways). The spas above average, no resident masseuse or treatment specialist so have to book ahead. You have pay to use spa and pools which felt unusual but it doesn't really cater for spa guests.

Fantastic rooms with great views. Lovely staff, particularly in beefys restaurant and main reception. Would come again. If I was on 4 rooms it would be value for money including buffet breakfast. Thanks Sam

Following on from my review of just now I forgot to mention that there were no tablecloths. That's a pity as the table looks so much better dressed properly, especially for a special occasion

Room 245 overlooks the car park not the pitches. Bed was two singles pushed together to make a super king sized bed, but the ridges from the edges of the single mattresses made the middle of the bed uncomfortable. The metal flap by the door is supposed to be used to stop people getting into the room (like a door chain) but was attached to the architrave and had obviously been used before as the architrave came off the wall very easily when I pulled it. As it was only held on by half a dozen panel pins, I'm not surprised it came off. Don't assume your safety is enhanced when using this, one good push and someone would be in your room. Breakfast was standard buffet affair, but was hot and nicely cooked.

Families beware... As a family of long-time HH/Diamond members, we were taken aback our first night here when the Executive Lounge attendant informed us that children are not allowed there in the evenings "because of the alcohol..." (as if alcohol wasn't available in every other food service area of the hotel). We've used Exec Lounges in numerous Hiltons in about a dozen countries and never encountered such a policy - which, effectively, made the Exec Lounge unusable for us, as the breakfast selection is far more substantial in the 'regular' restaurant, and there was nothing but a picked-over bowl of pretzels (or less) in the lounge during the rest of the day. The lounge is also very under-built - especially for a large new hotel, with lots of Gold/Diamond members stopping over before cruises - with no seating available for much of the evening (even when just one parent tried to utilize it). It would have helped to at least be informed of the 'no children' policy at check-in, but reception (and the other lounge attendants) seemed to be unaware of the policy, leading one to wonder if the policy is a 'personal' one of the main attendant (who also is inquisitively chatty, to the point of driving off would-be Lounge visitors), rather than actually representing the hotel's policy. All in all, our worst-ever Exec Lounge experience, which seriously undermined what was intended to be a quiet and relaxing family stay prior to a cruise. And the negative experience was exacerbated by extremely slow room service - an hour plus in a couple of instances. The breakfasts were marred every day, too, by mangled, missed, or lost orders. Maybe checking-in should have clued us in as to what was to come, as - in spite of advance reservations - our 'family room' had no sheets or pillow cases for the (still folded-up) sofa bed, and it took a very long time - and a reminder call - before a rather confused employee finally appeared at the door late that night with the bedding. The facility itself is rather nice - and the housekeepers do a great job - but after nearly a year open, the hotel still seems to having breaking-in problems with both the physical plant and many of the personnel.

In beefeaters they staff are really nice and everything but I feel there's not enough of them there. Waiting for drinks and food seemed a bit longer than it should. Otherwise food was amazing and drinks were lovely

I ve put a review on previously regarding this hotel but can no longer see it. Great hotel and easy to get too. Rooms are very big and spacious. The one we stayed at faced into the cricket ground. We had nice chairs to sit on to watch the match if we wanted. We could see the players practising. Breakfast here was very nice and the staff serving were helpful and friendly. We also had access to the executive lounge so we had few drinks of various kinds. Food is served throughout the day so you can pop in and help yourself. On each occasion when we stayed here there had been weddings taking place. We could still park not a problem and the bars were not busy. We saw several England player which made the children happy. Buses into Southampton are just a short walk away. There are eateries, shops and banks a 10-15 minute walk away. 5 minutes in the car.
