Rooms spacious and comfortable, lovely breakfast, poor turn down service only did half the job
Super friendly hotel, built around a cricket stadium, clean and spacious rooms, hearty and good breakfast, gym, spa. Very good value for money
Attended "Planet" event. Venue Excellent Service slow
Super accommodation and peaceful surroundings. Only 20 minutes from the center
Service was quite poor in the restaurant for an afternoon tea. However the cakes and scones were very nice.
Attended the Big Green Event. Good space and mix of stalls.
Stay here with my husband all the time (travel from Bucks as family live in Southampton). Reasonably priced, very comfortable & quiet rooms. Zachary (Zach?) in the restaurant is a delight (he actually seems to enjoy his job & always makes you feel welcome).
Very nice room, comfy bed, lovely balcony overlooking the ground (shame no cricket!!!). Breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from, staff really helpful. No complaints, would stay again.
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Shame we had to stand outside for an hour due to faulty fire alarm.
Great day out watching the day night county match vs Yorkshire.
Love the spa at Hilton Ageas !! Very cosy , especially the outdoor area with very comfy outdoor furniture and a jacuzzi. We had an afternoon tea as well which was meant for 2 people , but the savoury choices not that great hence I give an overall 4 star rating.
All in all a great value for money!!
Wonderful experience to watch live cricket from your room balcony.
Will be going again....
Having visited 10 days after its opening we were very disappointed about the slow service and food wasn't great especially at the prices. 3 months on we returned hoping for a nice meal. We arrived early to have a few drinks first at the lakeside bar where we we were told to sit and wait for a drink order to be taken. With no interest in serving us because of the food orders coming out of bar kitchen and waiting 15 mins we decided to leave. A very disappointing set up a bar serving food doesn't work and a restaurant that has poor service and lack of staff. We will not be going back for a third attempt.
Very good stay. Lovely quality, few hiccups by staff but nothing major.
Good service and thoughtful staff. Function rooms are good for parties and weddings. Great views of the ageas bowl cricket pitch from Beffy's bar. If you get the right room on the right day, cricket is included!
Nice, clean and spacious room. Great price. Location means you'll need a car or Uber to centre.
Beefys bar is good and the Lake view bar is my favourite, just so relaxing.
Easy to get to, clean and modern. Friendly staff and good selection for Breakfast. 15mins away from the centre of town.
Absolutely fabulous stay, staff very helpful and a fantastic venue we will be back
It's a proper Hilton. Amazing. Love to visit again!
We attended a wedding reception in their event hall. The hall was beautifully decorated and lit. Most importantly there was ample space for the guests to enjoy their meal and have a dance.
Beautiful hotel with stuck up front desk employees. As a diamond member, I have stayed nearly 101 nights last year in over 40+ Hilton's. I have to say you win the first sport for worst customer service out of all.
Visited the eforea spa as I was bought a voucher for my birthday. The spa was lovely and clean. There were steam rooms, a large sauna, heated beds, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi plus other facilities. We had afternoon tea which was yummy (though very rich and sweet) Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return.
Love this place go with my friend once a month for our spar days gym work out and sauna pool the massage. The staff are very professional and all lovely
Excellent fundraiser for Women's Aid Southampton. Loved the entire night with great entertainment and food!
i came here for a wedding, my friend is from edingburgh. I'd like to congratulate him and his wife. But the place, scenery and facilities were top class. Only thing that may have been a concern was there no loo roll when i used the toilet but im sure its just a little slip up. parking is good too plenty of space. as soon as you it does feel grand but i would suggest the receptionist be a bit more welcoming to british asians like myself.
but it wasnt anything serious.
Nice venue however it seems exceptional disorganised. Went to a diner there had some portable bar with one member of staff for 100 + people all arriving at same time all wanting a drink too ages to be served.
Consistently good service. Smart, comfortable rooms. The only drawback is location which is kind of isolated.
A comedy of errors. The restaurant was closed, but we weren't told. It is not in Southampton proper, as we were told. The bar where we ended up eating was frigid, so we got room service, which came without several parts of our order, including adequate cutlery! The taxi we ordered to take us to the airport was never called. Etc.
Really nice hotel and I had a fabulous suite on the top floor. Executive Lounge had limited food and as it was busy the food ran out, as did the Gin. Food in Beefys Restaurant a little underwhelming but overall still 5 stars.
Great place
Away from the city life
We have returned to South Devon having spent 4 nights at the Hotel Hilton, Ageas Bowl, Southampton. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were excellent in every way and department, the room was lovely, and we had a superb stay and will certainly be back as soon as we can.Thank you everyone, and a Happy New Year to you all.
Nice and modern. Executive lounge. Not really walking distance to stuff but best hotel in the area.
The rooms are spacious and home like. The views around the grounds are beautiful and the service is amazing.
Great customer service. We were given a beautiful room but the view was of the car park. We were guaranteed a balcony with a view of the Ageas Bowl so we mentioned it and Adam gave us a new room right away. He was very humble and helpful and we thank him for this.
100% Recommend!
Literally the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Polite, helpful, energetic (but not annoyingly so) and friendly
Only dropped in here to collect some paperwork that had been omitted from a recent car purchase, so only used the Lakeview bar to have a quick beer.
Very friendly and welcoming staff...mostly from Eastern Europe or the Continent...so you are guaranteed to be served swiftly and efficiently. Spotlessly clean public areas, comfortable seating areas and although my visit was after sunset, I'm sure that the large windows offer some views ( excluding the car park of course!!) Free WiFi, reasonable prices for a hotel bar...especially for the location and although I didn't watch it...there are several large screen TV's offering live sports/news.
Would certainly visit again.
The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Those that have a view to the cricket field have a balcony but you can not smoke. The common spaces are large and comfortable. The hotel offers many services: spa, fitness, golf course, cricket field ... Breakfast has a bit of everything that failed was that they were late in replacing the products that were finished as well as croissants and fruit.
The perfect hotel for a pre cruise. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff from checking to restaurant and breakfast excellent. Only 20 minutes away from cruise terminals and you get a taxi instead of a bus . You leave your car in the car park attached to the hotel. The restaurant was very good a good choice of menu reasonably priced . Breakfast was also very good. If we have another cruise from Southampton would definitely use again highly recommend
Amazing Stay at this Hotel. Checked in very late with the family and was greeted by two lovely women. Priscilla Wedlock the manager at night was so helpful with all our requests during the past 2 nights we stayed at the Hotel and she even went beyond to help with making sure our children felt very welcomed and at home. Exceptional Staff! Thank you very much Priscilla for making us feel like it was our home away from home. Our kids still talk about you.."the nice lady at night, who had lots of stories to tell them"..we had to brush up on our reading when we got home..lol..
Hilton at the Ageas Bowl is a brand new hotel (less than a year old) and it shows. Everything inside still looks new. Time will tell if Hilton will maintain the hotel against wear and tear.
Anyway, check in was painless and staff were very friendly. The rooms we checked into was clean and of a decent size. The views were of the golf course which is at the front of the hotel. You can get rooms which face the cricket ground. These rooms also have balconies.
We came to the hotel because of a wedding which was held in the hotel event hall. The service given was great. The next day most of the guests went down to breakfast in a restaurant called Beefy's. Again service was great. The food was good too!
It was a one night stay for us so we checked out after breakfast with no fuss.
Recommended hotel.
Room was lovely wasn't happy that the aircon didn't work boiling hot all night wasn't nice at all
Great views of the Ageas Bowl from the balcony. Of the food, dinner could have been much better, breakfast was very good. Bed was comfy, although not much provided in the room (Teas and toiletries).
Did not stay.. Was at reception.. Looked like a good place
The staff are great very friendly and the beds are great and comfortable
Abit expensive fir one night and day but then again its a hitlon hotel over looking the ageas bowl it would be hard to buy at firework night as you can sit on valconey and see firework in your bath robe drinking a bottle of cider
Comfy rooms, adjacent guests were a bit loud though but were on their Christmas party!!!
Use hotel as a base when visiting daughter at university. Great location just off motorway. Good quality food. Gym and spa are available
The venue was perfectly suited for the conference that I attended. The service for lunch was slow but that could easily be improved with some forethought.
We went there to play golf and went to the Lakeside View bar after our round, everything was clean, service was quick and friendly
This hotel was amazing the staff was very friendly and polite. We had the family room and it was so clean and tidy, and the shower was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend for any type of party. The breakfast we had was also amazing and the variety of different items you could had would suit any fussy eater.
The hotel is a nice venue with easy access. I was at a conference and felt the lunch was disappointing as there was only sandwich. No fruit or crisps etc
We were bought a night at the hilton as a wedding gift and both really looked forward to it. We were lucky enough to have a suite overlooking the cricket ground and it was absolutely gorgeous! The room itself was of a good size and was very clean, modern and well looked after. The bathroom was very modern and tbh amazing! Ive never been to a hotel that plays thw audio from the tv in the bathroom so you can hear it whilst getting ready to go out or even whilst you're in the shower! The only bad things we experienced was that the prosecco and chocolate dipped strawberries had been in the room for a few hours before we checked in...we dont know how long exactly but all the ice had melted in the bucket! Maybe these should be delivered to the rooms once the guest has checked in?! We were also disappointed as nobody said at the time of booking or check-in that we needed a reservation for dinner at the restaurant. After checking in, we went down to have a meal and were told that they couldnt seat us without a reservation until 9:30pm but then told us that they werent serving food past 9pm so we ended up leaving the hotel and going for a meal elsewhere. (please note these are not complaints, just something for you, the guest or staff member, to think about for future guests) Overall, we had an amazing and comfortable evening/night at the Hilton and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying there.
It's OK, nothing really wrong but we didn't feel it was worth the extra money, we could have stayed at a premier for a fraction of the price. We wouldn't stay again.
Very enjoyable family lunch to celebrate 80th birthday. Staff were very attentive and quality of food was impeccable.
Awful, you never have high hopes for this type of on mass Christmas dinners but this was the worst one I have ever had. A starter tart filled with gloop, Christmas turkey roast with a disgusting sausage, two miniscule sprouts and random cubes of carrots and parsnips. The wine was disappointing and the music so loud you had to shout at the person next to you, so conversation was impossible. Never again.
Clean and comfortable but lacks the personal touch. Ideal situation for the cricket ground.
I thought the course punished you, more than it needed to for better than average shots. This i found due to playing more blind shots than you would normally expect and this made finding balls very difficult and a leghnthy tedious add on to what should be a relaxing game of golf. Also the use of bunkers and other obstacles such as trees poorly possitioned when good shots should be rewarded.
Lovely meal at Beefys and great staff who were lovely. Highly recommend a vist. Good food and a very nice comfortable feel overall.
Gorgeous views of a lake, golf course, cricket stadium....from the rooms. Also, available are; Golf centre, Spa, fitness centre (with swimming pools), Spa cafe, meeting rooms, Boardroom, Lakeview Bar, Restaurant, Media Centre, Ballroom and a cricket stadium.
Clean rooms, clean Hotel.. attended for a work event... very pleasent
Fantastic hotel breakfast hit and fresh. However unfortunately there was a limited menu in the restaurant due to earlier circumstances. We where not told if this when booking and had to walk in them walk out after finding there was nothing on the menu to our taste.
Beautiful place conveniently located near cruise terminal
Great accommodation with excellent views of the cricket ground
Awesome hotel, pitch side rooms are so cool. Hilton so you can pretty much guarantee clean rooms, good food, good service. Interior is very nicely decked out
Superp ground. Very well organised and laid out. Highly recommended.
Nice hotel, attention to detail like keycard programming could be better!
