My favorite memory from South Africa was our day trip to the breathtakingly beautiful wine region, Hemel-en-Aarde. Explore Sideways planned everything perfectly, from the morning hike along the coast to the wine tasting with the vineyard owner to the gourmet 7-course dinner at sundown. Our guide was absolutely lovely clearly a local expert. She customized every detail to suit our needs and remained flexible as the day unfolded. (For example, we decided to spend more time at the winery and she adjusted our plans without skipping a beat.) I'm always looking for travel experiences that are off the beaten path and Explore Sideways really delivered in that regard. I can't wait to go back!

Had such a great time on our tour with Explore Sideways. We went to Stellenbosch and checked out 4 different wineries - all of the wine was superb and our guide really knew his stuff (I'm a wine geek so it was awesome to have someone there who could answer my questions clearly and with authority). They even customised the tours around what wines I wanted to taste!

By far the best private tours in Cape Town, especially if you prefer a unique and personalized experience over a bus tour. I met amazing winemakers, went to off-the-beaten-path in the winelands, Table Mountain and even in the city. We had guides that were so passionate about what they do, their enthusiasm was infectious.

My friends and I decided to take on the Cape Town art tour and it was fantastic! We managed to visit the Zeitz Mocca in the afternoon and a few galleries in the morning and had a really tasty group lunch which was a lot of fun. Overall, a great way to spend a day in Cape Town and learn about the art scene. Our guide was really informative and gave us an insightful background into plenty of pieces. Would recommend 100%!

Amazing tours, great service and unforgettable memories!

We went on the Helicopter tour of the Cape Winelands in a group of friends and it was a stunning experience. Really enjoyed the ride and scenic views, and the tasty lunch was complimented with ample sampling of the delicious wine at Delaire Graff. 10/10!

I like wine. I like good food. I love Cape Town. The Stellenbosch wine tour satisfied all of these :)

What a fantastic bespoke foodie tour in the winelands. We spent a fantastic day with our specialist winemaker guide in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. I'd recommend to anyone looking to go off the beaten track and into the cellars of some amazing estates.

I had an truly amazing experiences at my private Winelands tour! I don't think it could have been better! Quick and extremely attentive responses from Michelle, everything was perfectly arranged and flexible. Fred & Angie are such amazing knowlegable guides, they really make you feel so welcome. We visited three wine estates (Vrede & lust, Waterford & Morgenster) had fantastic wines and a suprise picknick at Boschendal since we were on honeymoon! I would highly highly recommend booking your tour here!

My experience in the wine lands was magical. With every little thing taken care of by the attentive guides, the experience in the Cape Town wine lands was phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed tasting the variety of wines on offer. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a effortless way to experience the local side of Cape Town.
