This place is awesome ! A perfect spot to celebrate any birthdays. I have celebrated my birthday 3 years in a row here and each time me and my friends have always had a great time . The bartenders are awesome and fast never a long wait compared to other spots where you have to literally flag a bartender down for a drink . They have two dance floors and if you find the perfect spot you can be under the AC especially when it starts getting packed . Both rooms play awesome music we never leave the dance floor. Keep up the good work and the owner Erin is awesome always spot on to answer any questions. I will keep recommending DB to all of my friends.
Good sound and lights. A little warm but overall great venue.
Great light displays, good sound system although sometimes the base is too heavy
Drinks are not worth the the money so make sure to pregame! Other than that the sound system is fire and the talent that comes through here is on point.
Great sound and lights, big name DJ, good crowd. Drinks were expensive compared to Orlando but reasonable by LA standards. Surprised it closes at 3am but that's not the venue's fault.
Nice CLUB, but not the place to be for bass shows. Even right next to the speakers the bass is not strong enough. When they push the speaker for drops, it will get quieter. Highs are nice because they have funktion ones, but that's it.
I will not be back. My sub at home is better
Bouncers r shady. The bouncer said he would bring a gun to my house.
We love it here !!! On Sundays am with Fearless LA church .
I went to see Bakermat and I loved the venue and the vibe. Definitely coming back!
Staff was very nice and helpful. Didn t wait in line long to get inside, overall a great experience!
The biggest night club in LA for tourists. Famous DJs are also many guests.
VIP is Asian only.
Came with friends for an event (hosted by insomniac headliner was BT) the Exchange is a nice venue. They keep their bathrooms well maintained. And they have a good set up at the door for people who pre bought tickets, guest list, etc. Their coat check and valets are efficient and courteous as well. I personally didn't buy any drinks, although my friends did and had no complaints.
Naw man! It was like forcing a turd being there. Not for me son!
I went here to see Late Night Alumni and BT. The venue itself isn't very large but what I did love was the sound system they have. It is AMAZING! Well sounds amazing as long as whomever is performing regulates the volume well. The performances were great. I didnt like that drinks were extremely expensive, as so is the water. The sounds system they have really adds an extra oomph to the music. The only time I had a complaint about the system wasnt even the venue itself but the performer. I believe it was Myon performing. The guy was a bit of a douche, he turned the volume all the way up to the point that my ears hurt really bad. Its like he was so cocky about his music he turned it up twice as much. I had to leave the room and go into the other room they had to give my ears a break. So did alot of other people. It still sounded loud being in the next room over. Had to get toilet paper to put in my ears. The guy also started replaying songs that the other band had played. His performance was really stupid. So if you go watch him.. beware. Other than that. It's a great place and prices in ticketing are fairly decent.
Nobody is dancing, all are filming. 40 $ entrance for a boring party. That my first and last time where I stay here.
Great Sound System!!!!! And they have RB Yellow!!? =)
This is a wonderful nightclub with an active social media presence and responsive staff. They host events for various occasions and can accommodate a large amount of people. There are two floors and a loft that is above the third floor. On the second floor there is a large LED screen and DJ booth. It is always exciting to go there to party.
Awesome music, awesome staff. Crowd is a but homogenous but that can hardly be blamed on the venue. It's my favorite place in LA.
Amazing venue in downtown Los Angeles that produces edm events that are one of the best in the world.
I got bottle service here for a party of 7. When I arrived they were trying to give me a table for a party of 4. And insisted I pay for a party of 7. This meant I paid $700 but 4 of my friends would be able to sit and not the rest. When i discussed this with the manager. He decided he would yell at me and tell me it's too bad. And that even if I leave he is going to charge me $200. Im a avid google reviewer and almost all my reviewes are positive. Oh yes I also forgot to mention the crack heads in front of the venue!!!! Get better security!
Nice place but not enough security and people smoke inside it's horrible because you breathe in all the smoke they really need a smoking designated area. And kinder bouncers.
Place sucks.
1. No where to sit and see the stage.
2. Only 1 set of bathrooms.
3. People are to pretentious.
Over priced drinks. But other than that its a great venue.
Friendly security and awesome
Hosting;) Thank you
Buyer beware! If you buy your tickets in advance you may get denied entrance for looking like you're intoxicated. The bouncers are super rude and lost my driver's license and of course there's no refunds. Place was a joke I have never had this problem before...if I'm ever In la I'll probably just check out a different club
Pricy drink and really not much room around dance floor, not my first option with all the other downtown LA clubs. I feel this is still a good place to go, just like I said, not my first choice out
Was here at dj Pendulum set. Awful sound. Cheap interior and comfortless atmosphere. The only thing my friends and I like it was lighting.
Entrance fee Cash, drink in cash Cash in cash ~! ~! The card is received by the American Express. It is received only by the club itself.
It was great coming back to witness MAKJ play an awesone set. You can take the girl from EDM but you can never take EDM away from the girl.
Extremely overpriced and watered down drinks, but always has great artists playing
We had a great time partying at the Exchange on Halloween! One of the best times with the girlfriends!
It's a real nice venue. The workers are great. I haven't had a problem there. The main room is decorated great. There are two bars so drinks are served right away.
not my music.. Son took me to a technical music Showing and I did not liked the dejay , which played tunes like my ring tone. Beebeebeee the kids have fun thouhg!
Great entertainment. Drinks over priced but its LA so its expected
Worst venue ever. Do not under any circumstances go to this place. Definition of hype.
Excellent sound, laser and visual lights on screens. Highly recommended!
Awesome atmosphere. Always a great time at Exchange.
After driving from Hollywood, we were turned away for wearing shorts...no where did it say on the event page or on the ticket about there being a dress code for this event....will not be coming back to this venue ever...was looking forward to listening to Walker & Royce.
i only went once, but when i overheard security shaking down dudes for $50 to get in the door before they paid the actual cashier for admission, i knew i would never be coming back. i understand that most, if not all club security make side money, but making people pay twice is pure bullshit
Bouncers are really shady, they mentioned $20 for women but really charge $30 for all. Not consistent with their cover charge, be aware of the cost. Place stop serving alcohol at 2am. They force you to finish your beverage around 2am, even though you bought it and it's expensive!! They advertise closing time at 3am bit really close around 230am. Place is okay, would not recommend.
Great music, one of the best EDM clubs in LA, however drinks are very expensive
Don't forget to get your ticket online, very nice club, good vibe.
They scam you by the guest lists..... Only allowing 3 people only on the guest list.
The place is nice but the worse venue I attended, so disorganized, I had VIP couldn't walk so crowded, I had requested bottle service and at the door they change the price. :(
Music was amazing... On point! But dudes here were so aggressive. Can't have a fun girls' night without getting mobbed. Really put a damper on the evening. Crowd was less than fun.
Large venue in the heart of Spring St downtown. Awesome sound and lighting system in the large main room. There are a lot of high level DJs coming through doing shows. There is a side room downstairs with good local DJs. Security is reasonably thorough but I would have expected them to enforce the "upscale" dresscode a little harder. A beer was not as expensive as anticipated. Good to go to if there is a big artist on. I saw MK, Camelphat and Cassian, who were all great.
I just got back from there. The worst $40 I have spent in LA.
1. Full of men and Asians
2. The first vodka I ordered was $12 and then I ordered the same vodka with $17
3. No dancers
4. Unfriendly stuff
5. The Djs are bad except the one who came from 12:20 until 2 I think.
Incredible place! Check out the church service in here on Sundays too!
Terrible service there on my birthday and can't even get a discount or drink free after spending $122. I wouldn't recommended coming here over priced drinks and rude manners
Beautiful decorated, good sound system, but single bathroom and its locale is really inconvenient when you want to minimize your absence from the performers.
With bookings from the likes of Claude Vonstroke, Oliver Heldens, Adam Beyer, and Nicole Moudaber....EXLA is Rocking LA with great international talent for those who like House, Tech / Techhouse!
It s hella crowded and if you don t get there before early then you are going to absolutely love trying to take videos and pictures of ATB and Morgan Page from the back while everyone on E is bumping and grinding and jumping all up into and onto you. Honestly, I love the artists who play here- they are incredible and that s why I still will go, but it annoys me every single time.
Exchange LA can be hit or miss sometimes, but honestly, I think they have their formula down pretty well. They pat you down at security (which is comforting), and immediately upon entering you are faced with the first DJ room. Always underrated talent spinning and a good refuge from the crowds upstairs at peak hours. However, the second floor is the main draw. Stunning vaulted ceilings, very good acoustics and plenty of bartenders to satiate all needs. On nights with bigger DJs playing, this is not a club I would go to in order to find the love of your life. However, the energy is always high and they continue to bring in top-tier talent on a weekly basis. They feature all different types of electronic genres to cleanse all musical palettes. Drinks a bit overpriced but hey, what are you gonna do?
I had a great time last night at Exchange LA night club, DJ Baauer was there performing.
A good friend of mine took me here on a Thursday night back in June, was welcomed by the beautiful cocktail waitresses Stella, Crystal and a few others. Had so much fun that night, I ended up coming back Friday and Saturday. Ceci Barros took great care of me and my group each night, bottle presentations were on point. She's definitely one of the best in the nightlife industry when it comes to catering to her clients. Definitely my go to spot when I'm in town.
Great venue but last time I went here, security grabbed my nuts inappropriately.
Hard to dance on that sticky ass floor. Way to crowded.
Just listening to Pete tong on radio 1 Claude con stroke said he liked this club looks awesome.just been to bugged out at Bognor in UK fab weekend looking forward to Ritchie Hawkins set.
I usually have a good time here but omg the drinks are ridiculously priced..$15 for a TINY vodka red bull that tasted like straight redbull and $7 for a small water bottle? Smoking area is insanely small and be careful you don't get burnt by somebody's cigarette because you're all standing so close to each other and the bathroom being downstairs kind of sucks too. Thankfully I haven't had an issue with security but I've heard horror stories.
Exchange LA, is a throw back to the Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California night club scene. The club is huge, with great sound and spectacular lighting.
The building, originally the LA Stock Exchange, has volume, in both senses of the word; to entertain a very large crowd.
As you would expect the music is loud, with rich bass and clean upper register. There is no distortion here.
The four story building has lots of stairs and one elevator. The elevator is used for VIPs and those with a handicap. A large "skybox" offers an unobstructed view of the stage, and contains a private bar.
The bathrooms on the first floor are large and wheelchair accessible.
Cell phone and internet reception is poor, at least on Verizon.
This is downtown LA so parking is expensive. If possible, take public transportation. The subway is fast, safe and offers inexpensive parking.
They scammed us out of $200. We were a group of 9 and the let 6 of us in. Supposedly the last 3 were "drunk" so they denied them entry. It was a scam to get my group to leave since we couldn't all get in. When we asked for a refund they said it was out of their hands. None of us were drinking. It was the first stop of the night. Thanks for ruining the experience of 9 paying customers. If I could rate 0 stars I would
The architecture of this place is absolutely astonishing. I was very pleased with how much of the history in this building is still felt. Staff was incredible. Great service.
well i was overcharged at the door .then after they threatened to kick us out after watchin a bartender put zero alcohol in our 20$ jack n cokes.then some rando pushed me and grabbed my friends ass then demanded cocaine from us.so i threw my overpriced soda and ice in his face.at wich point i was escorted out.then while outside overheard security attempting to charge male customers 100 to get in
Santos is a horrible security did not let us in even tho we bought tickets. Club had crappy security and does not honor tickets
My first time bad review on google. Inferior vodka (mingle with water), music is boring, place needs renovation, and overcharged me $220 extra. Wouldn't recommend.
