This is truly a 5 star hotel. Gorgeous rooms, with 5 star service. We had a seaview room - stunning view!! Light & very comfortable room. Loved staying here. Only disappointment was with the prices of the mini bar & lounge bar. Considering the price of staying there we expected better rates - we would have spent more time there had it been so. But the bar staff are 5 star. Thanks.
We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary at The Excelsior Palace. Somehow they picked up on this prior to our arrival and we were greeted at check in with a beautiful upgrade and kind wishes. The rooms are classic Grand Dame and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is delightful. The beach club makes your stay even better. I only wished we stayed longer. Be sure to dine at Eden Roc. Top notch! Can t wait to come back. Thank you!
Good hotel with good facilities. But a bit old and outdated.
The staffs were very professional and friendly. It is located in front of the sea with a spectacular view.

Although a bit dated this hotel was outstanding. Great service, great food, paradise like views (invest in a sea view room) and wonderful swimming pool. Highly recommended.
Where should I start? The service was just great from the start! The hotel is a dream, the rooms are super clean and the room service is outstanding. The complex is very well maintained, great attention is paid to disinfection and cleanliness. The only negative point in the outdoor area is the outdated wellness area. Not all nozzles worked there. But that's the only thing that I can fault. Restaurant and bars offered a super fine range in a nice ambience. I will dream of my vacation there for a long time. Highly Recommended!!
Beautiful hotel. Very calm and romantic. With perfect pool to sunbath and breakfast with view. The rooms are special, in my I had a terrace to seat. Huge terrace downstairs for an evening cocktail. Very nice and helpful staff. Very attentively watching guests not to fall trying to shot the perfect photo in the infinity pool.

The sound proofing is quite bad. We slept next to a room where there s a dog and it barked throughout the night. In the early mornings hours we could hear people walking in the corridor In these rooms you hear every single noise.
We stayed in the junior suite and the curtains could not close all the way. There were gaps between them and outside there are spot lights shining in. First night they were able to move us to another room (at midnight). They were not able to give us another room the other night because the hotel was fully booked. They then tried to fix the curtains but it was unsatisfactory for us because the gaps were then smaller but still did not close all the way and there was still light shining through our room. The hotel couldn t propose any solution. What s worse was that when we then asked for eye-masks to be able to sleep through the night, the hotel wanted to charge us money for them and didn t really want to provide them.
The hotel seemed really unsympathetic about our situation when we continued to tell them.
When we checked out no staff even asked us how our stay was. We just didn t think this lives up to a 5 star hotel standard and we were paying over 400 euros per night. After all when staying at a hotel the minimum requirement is that guests should have a good rest, which we were not able to.
Best hotel in Rapallo. I was in a Junior suite room with terrace and excellent view. It was really great experience. Dinner at hotel also awesome. Great manner of staffs. All the dishes were great and much better than what I expect for.
