It was my second stay at this hotel. The overall impression of the hotel is very good. The team running the hotel was extremely helpful and nice despite some minor issues (like everywhere). I spent 4 weeks there during the Corona epidemic in July and also few days in December so I become a friend of all staff, I guess.
The hotel was almost empty when I arrived on 17/7, however two restaurants were open and served excellent food daily ie Chinese and Mexican. During this unpredictable time, they made every effort to ensure that my stay was safe, comfortable and of course happy. The room was only cleaned when requested, however all essentials such as drinking water, cafe sachets / tea or toiletries were provided whenever I asked for it. Also towels and bed sheets were replaced whenever I asked for it.
Great hotel to stay in the heart of Dubai. Easily accessible by public transport, close to Dubai bus stand and Airport. Transportation available to go in and out of Dubai.
The hotel ambience was good, rooms were spacious and clean. Housekeeping service was excellent. Reception and security staff needs to be more courteous and friendly.
This hotel has an amazing decoration, ballroom, good price and also great buffet specially if you are planing to host an event would be perfect
Memorable moments whenever I visit Grand Excelsior this time we went for the Covid vaccination camp which was well organized with proper arrangements and regulations. My second dose of Covid which I will never forget. Felt like taking a picture quickly. Earlier we had arranged our annual meet up in 2019 and 2018 and still remember those happy moments. Thank you Grand Excelsior for your hospitality. Friends , do visit once and send me a blessing.

One of the best hotels in the area, so clean, comfy, price is amazing compared to other hotels and staff are super friendly! Ask for Swapnil at the reception and he will make sure you have what you need with an amazing upgrade if available!!

I had one interaction there and it was the best. My brother who passed of cancer got really into poker and watched the WSOP religiously. He played a lot online and even went to casinos in the Gulf. He said he wanted to get a chance to play there. Sadly my brother lost his battle in 2009. So today while in Las Vegas I had to go by. I asked to play. Sadly tables were closed for renovations. They asked what brought me to RIO. I told them about my brother and I asked if I could buy a chip for his grave. They got me those then gave me cards and dice to add. It was an emotional moment and y all made it happen!! 5 out of 5 stars. I wish I had caught the pit boss and dealers name. They were great ambassadors for the Rio!!!!
Had the best time at this hotel. Such great hospitality and positive vibes. Thank you to all the front office staff for making it possible for us the get the check in faster than expected. Thank you to the people who helped us with our luggage as well. Over all a great stay. Highly recommended.
Room is very dirty and stinks.
We asked for another room but still the second room was filthy. Bath tub has a big crack at the base and much of the water flows out from this crack to the bathroom floor. The room also has cockroaches. The management offered to move us again to a third room. When we saw it it had exactly the same issues like the previous 2 rooms.
This is not a 4 star hotel but a 0 star hotel.
We paid full board but after seeing cockroaches in our room cannot trust the food.
Definitely will not recommend this hotel.
Location is good, also the receptionist Larysa who is very kind and she assist us very well. She greet us with a smile and very polite. The room was good also. Thanks Grand Excelsior
