A massive wetlands in a tropical climate, think a swamp in summer. I mention this because a couple on the same airboat tour as us complained almost nonstop about the mosquitos and humidity (it honestly was not that humid, especially when the boat was moving). The wildlife was wondrous and the area is beautiful. If you are the outdoorsy type it is a trip worth making. If you are not the type of person to enjoy a nature preserve don't force yourself to go and annoy a boatload of people who can easily throw you into conveniently close alligator infested waters.

Photography is an art, a passion, a hobby. Photography can also be the investment of time to create our memories. As we travel, we take photos which then are catalogued, turned into stories, PDF files, and as we go back through the years to review what we have done, we marvel at the great memories. Everglades offer an opportunity to reflect on nature, on the apparent calm, yet the sometimes violent struggle for survival. Visit, it is unique, take your camera and create your own history!

Here you can take a hydrofoil tour where you will appreciate nature 100%. If you are lucky you will see crocodiles. Exotic birds etc. I am Colombian and I see more in my country. The Tour is fully guided and in English. So if you do not manage the language you will not find meaning in the journey. There is a restaurant and at the end you can see a very funny crocodile show in English.

My first trip to Miami and the Everglades was a must! The air boat ride was fun and informative. I really enjoyed the driver/guide. We saw alligators, birds and soft shell turtles. The Everglades didn t fail to disappoint!

A pristine place, really beautiful. I strongly recommend the non-paying state road that crosses it more south than the toll road, to be able to admire the natural park with calm and necessary breaks ... always remember that alligators (and you will come across several of them!) Do not I'm in captivity, so watch out !!

It is wonderful to see the gators outdoors in their natural habitat. Birds are also super friendly used to people. Don t touch or feed them of course. I would say don t do the train unless you can t walk. it is much better to get bikes.

The parking lot is quickly full and not that big. You can also park your car outside the park and walk into the park.

We went to the Everglades National Park, one of America's largest subtropical wildernesses. Known for its alligators and exotic birds, it's surely an unforgettable experience down in South Florida. Note: Pls. bring cash for tips.

Absolutely not to be missed. The sighting of alligators and other animals that populate the swamp is very easy. For those who don't want to take the boat, there are wooden walkways to walk on.

Get out and explore and become one with nature. The beat way to do this is to take a swamp buggy ride. Pack a lunch and bring plenty of liquids. Make sure to bring your binoculars and camera. You will see all kinds of wildlife. May I add to bring bug repellent. Get a guide who knows and explore a part of Florida that is simply beautiful.

The only real experience I've had with the Everglades is driving through them in I-75, which is also know as "Alligator Alley". There are many areas to stop park and launch your watercraft into the wetlands. There are also several guides that will take you out on guided tours using their own watercraft. When I was growing up 25 or so years ago there were only two lanes. One each way so it could be a dangerous drive under poor conditions or if people were drunk driving. Since then they have divided the highway with 2 lanes going each direction with a ditch or canal separating them making the drive much safer. During the drive keep your eyes out as every now and then you can spot wildlife especially alligators trying to get some sun!

Ok, this place is very nice. Whatever the real hidden reason was to build this park, I don't care. We enjoyed everything there.

Be mindful you are walking inside a mangrove/swamp. Depending the season you chose to visit the park, it'll have more mosquitoes, rain, etc. Just think about that when you chose your clothing or whether or not to bring your children.

Chances are very high you come across snakes, crocodiles and alligators. Think about that too. Other than that, the place is amazing.

UNLIKE ANYTHING

UNLIKE ANYTHING
you have likely seen in your travels, the Everglades is an extraordinarily distinctive ecosystem much diminished by human settlement but that still hosts millions of birds and other creatures in what one writer called The Sea of Grass. Gators up close, anhingas spearing fish by falling like swords from the sky, and stars at night humanity hides from itself with ground lights are all here. You will find other marvels by foot, bicycle or boat. The National Park Service scores yet again.
