Service Dept. Review
Took my girlfriend s car in a week and a half ago for an oil change, tire rotation, and check for a leak in a tire. The tire loses 10-15lbs every 2-3 days. So a substantial leak that should be easy to find if dunked or soaped properly.
They said there was no leak. I get home and look over the car(making sure the oil cap was on, oil level correct, drain plug tight, and make sure the tires were rotated.
They didn t rotate the passenger side. I called Justin Winters (service writer), asked why one side was not rotated(I was not told). He asked the technician (Charles Brown), technician advised he did not rotate the passenger side because the lug nuts were swollen and were difficult to remove. Service writer then tried to make it right by refunding me the $29.95 for the rotation and said if I get new lug nuts he would replace them on the vehicle and finish the rotation at no charge.
Although I was upset that they didn t finish the job I had paid for, I was willing to give a second chance.
Today, I took the car back in with the new lug nuts and to have the rotation finished. An hour and a half later a different service writer calls for me. I go back to the service writer desk and he charged me the $29.95 again. I explained the conversation and situation I discussed with the original writer and he went to go talk to him while he was with another customer. He came back out to say that Justin advised him that I was to be charged again for the rotation because they performed it correctly this time. Why even refund me the money and tell me he would finish it at no charge??? Because of one hack tech that tried to squeeze by with a Mickey Mouse job hoping no one would notice that he was just too lazy to knock the lugnuts out of the socket
