Evans Motorworks Review

We visited Evans Volkswagen in April 2020 looking for a new SUV for our family of 5. They were able to get us exactly what we were looking for and were so friendly and helpful with the questions we had! It's a great feeling when they are actually trying to help you find the car your want, not just try to "sell you a car".
I am excited to have our car serviced here and very pleased that they support other businesses. Every other Monday, they have Manicure Monday! I love when businesses help each other out, that makes me a customer for life! I also love that they will park your car in their lot and take you to Dayton International Airport! What great service! I can't wait to come in for our first oil change! Thanks Evans Volkswagen!

We would highly recommend Evan s Volkswagen. After shopping around to find a perfect SUV at nearly a dozen dealerships, we finally found it here. While the Atlas is an impressive vehicle, the staff was also noteworthy. Zach made the car buying process painless. He wasn t pushy, he didn t call a million times and he worked hard to make the car we wanted a reality. The day we came in to purchase our vehicle, Zach had all the paperwork ready and it took a very short time to complete. They even brought a Valentine s Day treat bags to our two kids!

expensive though and that part I don't love.

They also were very responsive to my texts which is awesome for all the question I had and some of them really relatively late at night. Overall pleased with my purchase and glad I went VW.

I was very pleased with the buying experience at Evans. I worked with Zach Johnson on the purchase. He was great. Low pressure, helpful, and always ready to answer questions. Never felt rushed. Even test drove two different cars before finding the right Jetta for me. I highly recommend Zach and the whole Evans team.

Stopped by for a follow up twice. Knocked a star for a wasted first trip, necessitating the second due to lack of communication between sales and office staff. Otherwise great dealership.

In a word: Exceptional. Our decision to give Evans Motor Works BMW, Volvo and Volkswagen a try turned out to be the best auto purchase decision I have EVER had, and I have been to many dealerships across the USA in my 36 years on this planet. We were able to shop three brands with one, knowledgeable, friendly and very professional salesman.

They made my family feel welcomed during the purchasing process with cookies for the kids (and the adults) as well as very accommodating.

Special mention for going truly above and beyond goes to the ENTIRE management staff; Dennis, Carl and Ann as well as our amazing salesman, Zac and even the financing gentleman, Zach. I was given near top dollar for my trade-ins and that left me with a little extra money left over to put money down on the BMW and Volvo we selected.

All of the extras that come along with the sale are just awesome (new car ding removal, carwash Saturdays and lots more).

We will be taking our Volvo and BMW to Evans for all of our service needs!

I urge you to give them a try if you are in the market for an amazing deal and truly above and beyond service!

Purchased a new 2018 Tiguan limited yesterday Zach (sales) and Zack (manager) were both very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. Pick out a 2017 Jetta then had to wait a really long time for approval on a loan.Got a loan approved with Day Air and everything was good to go. My mom Asked to come back Tuesday because my mom wanted to talk with Wright Patt Credit Union and Monday was a holiday. Tuesday I called couldn t get an answer when I did get one I told the sales rep that I needed to send him the pay stubs now and when we show up we can sign the loan and my mom can go back home. My mom lives out of the state. They made us wait an overly excessive amount of time for Zack came back. When he did he couldn t verify how much my mom made because he didn t know how to add the pay correctly. We had to show him. He then called the Sales Manger in the other building who tells him to call the bank. After he calls the bank and we have to Wait some more. He tells us my we both have to be members of the credit union by me becoming a member then maybe my mom will be able to get a membership. Then he had to mail the paystubs to the bank and we can come back in a few days to sign the loan paperwork. Everyone knew my mom was going home Tuesday. They also filled the loan agreement out wrong and put my mom name first when I need to be first so I can get tags for the car. They wasted my time and my moms time today and Saturday and lied to us. Then to have the sales manager call and say he was able to get us approved with another company with a lower payment but never told us until he found out the deal went bad is pretty low as well. Worst car buying experience ever and the worst trained staff I ve ever dealt with. Please people do not buy from them.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They kept me informed every step of the repair process and made sure I chose each step with knowledge of what my car needed and what options were available to me.

I did a web search on cargarus and found a great deal at Evans Moterworks , also Mike Wilcox and Carl the sales manager gave me great service and left the lot same day with the car i wanted..

Fair prices, outstanding service department. The sales department is very friendly and not pushy. I will continue to take my car there for service and definitely will buy my next Volkswagen there.

I called in to get info on locking wheel nuts on my Passat, I was told I could come straight in, no appointment necessary. When I arrived they were very courteous, told me the wait time and directed me to the waiting area. My car was finished in no time, im very happy with the quick and friendly service I received. They also offer a military discount.

Very courteous and helpful Service Manager. The complimentary pickup and delivery is the best, especially since we live 50 min. away. This made our decision of leasing from Evans seem like a good choice, we were reluctant to lease from a dealership so far away from home on a vehicle especially without having qualified VW mechanics in our area.

We are in the market looking for a new car for my wife. She likes the VW Atlas. Due to my busy schedule, I sent her to the dealership to look at the cars and negotiate a deal if she so chose. From the get go, they offered her a small discount on one that was a left over 2018 (last years model). I get into the picture because she really wanted one. They offer a much more substantial discount to me. Is it because I am a man, I'll let you the reviewer decide. Any how, we couldn't get together on a deal. Since it was a leftover 2018, I expected a better deal. I jumped on their website approximately a month later (after the original negotiations) and noticed they still had a left over 2018. I thought since we are nearing the middle of 2019 they'd offer a greater discount to move it. Nope, they offered less of a discount than what was originally negotiated and the sales manager was basically making fun of me for my expectations even though it was what was originally agreed upon. In a text from the sales manager he stated verbatim the following: I'LL TALK TO THE BOSS LOL. By the way he never checked with the boss and never got back with me until I inquired. They will probably respond saying the incentives aren't what they were back when the original negotiations occurred. Well.... they don't know because they LOST the paperwork from the original negotiations. My experience with Evans VW has not been pleasant to say the least. They act as if they are too busy to work with me. I have always held the opinion that something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In this case, since the vehicle is a 2018 left over I expect a deal and don't expect to be ridiculed for that expectation. I will not be dealing with Evan's Motorworks again.

I bought my new 2020 Volkswagen Jetta on Monday (11/30) and this was my first NEW vehicle I had purchased. My sales associate was Zach and he was super kind and personable. Makes you feel more like a friend then a customer. He explained my car in detail and gave me his undivided attention. After selecting my vehicle I got the pleasure of also meeting sales manager Ian who checked in on the sales process and me throughout the whole process. They both are amazing guys who make you feel like a person not just another sale. I also work in the car industry and Zach is hands down one of the best sales associates I have ever met. I bought a 2012 Chrysler town and country mid December through Theo ( the best salesman I have ever had!!!) I paid asking price because it was in excellent condition. So I wanted to get some stuff fixed like rust on the back hatch repaired brakes where low in the rear, and a key fob and some small stuff. We all agreed to fix it. They fixed it all I picked it up drove it halfway home and noticed that their was no heat. Took it back a day later I got a call I was told it was fixed. Test drove still not getting hot on the 3ed try they got it. 13 days later!!! This is the used car service department. Made a appointment with arena dodge for the key fob at this time my blind spot is not working and I have a check engine light. They agreed to look at both issues. I had to wait in the service department for 3 hours to tell me they needed to do more time for troubleshooting. After poking and prying arena dodge and evens motorworks I finally got a loner vehicle. I was told they will only pay for the engine light and key fob not the blind spot. I have tried to call the GM at motorworks no answer. I told the used car sale manager that I had enough of them and this van, and they need to buy this van back. They told me they can't do that you have had more than 5 days after the lone went trough. I told him my van has spent it first 7 days with me in your shop and another 8 day at arena dodge this week he had no answer. So now I have to keep the van not fixed. Beware of the used car sales and service. Nothing against theo the salesman. Just used car service side and sales manager.

We recently bought a certified 2016 Passat from Evans and the experience was fantastic. Nothing beats a no pressure sale! We had an extended test drive and had a great time feeling the car s handling on the highway, back roads, getting a real gauge of fuel usage, and if it was comfortable enough for us. Our salesman Ryan was patient and answered any and all questions. It s so nice to drive away with a great deal!

I almost forgot about the best parts. Ryan had the car ready and waiting for our test drive. He had everything set up for us to complete the sale of the car. I don t think we spent more than an hour doing paperwork and then we were in our way home. No pressure to get add-one with the financing part and we happily left with just gap insurance and an extended warranty. It was a great experience from beginning to end and I m loving my new-to-me car!

I had the car in to repair a tire puncture which was completed in a timely manner.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! Based on my experience with this dealership i would suggest being extremely cautious with buying anything from here!!! I m re writing my previous review. They day I bought my 2015 Durango I was THRILLED. Thought I was getting the car of my dreams. And the man who sold it to me SEEMED to be honest. After driving it for two weeks I realized it was not shifting correctly at all. It was jolting and running pretty rough. I IMMEDIATELY called the salesman. He told me to pull over, shut my car off, open the door and then shut it and turn the car back on and it should be fine. I did, and it was not. He s next suggestion was to take it to their dodge dealership. So week three of having the car I took it to their dodge dealership and was told it was likely a transmission problem BUT their transmission guy had recently retired and l should take it to a completely different dodge dealership in Troy. So I called them the next morning and got in on the 16th of December. Was told it would be free of charge. After they told me it was not a software update and no code was being thrown the charged me $132 and sent me home. NOT EVEN TWO WEEKS LATER driving my Durango down a back road late at night and it starts jolting, shaking, and not wanting to shift at all and then my check engine light came on. Immediately got it home and text my salesman who could only tell me to call their service department on Monday. Devastated I called. After getting the run around and being told they would charge me $30 a day for a rental I called my salesman irate. He told me that they don t work on dodges so they can t do anything to fix it for me. He was ABSOLUTELY ZERO HELP AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Telling me he couldn t help me with a car he sold me NOT EVEN TEO MONTHS AGO... because he was with a new customer. They eventually got my car to the dodge dealership ran diagnostics and wanted to charge me just shy of $400 to replace a spark plug and an ignition coil. Those parts cost LESS THE $50 TOTAL!! I will NEVER do business here again and I suggest everyone stay FAR away from them. Have had my Durango still less then two months and it s been in the shop 3 times. I will never be back for anything.

I have been to 10+ VW dealerships in the last two years, in both Georgia, and Ohio. This location is by far the best I have visited. They are quick, and get the job done correctly the first time. I have never had an issue with anyone there, the customer service is great. Keep up the good work!
