Palazzo Michiel delle Colonne is located in the Cannaregio district near Santa Sofia. It overlooks the Grand Canal. From the Palace you can admire an amazing and unusual view of the Rialto market, from the fruit and vegetable stalls to the fish stalls. In the courtyard of the atrium there is a wellhead on which the Grimani coat of arms is sculpted

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay in a particularly enjoyable, well-maintained, classic Venetian building overlooking the Grand Canal. The staff, in particular Valentina and Zenon, were helpful and knowledgeable. The room was quiet and well ventilated with good air conditioning and was immaculately clean. The breakfast was superb with many delicious gluten free options for my niece and me. I hope to return again some day and would highly recommend staying at the Locanda Ai Santi Apostoli.
