Take at least half a day to visit these galleries spread over three buildings. Prices vary between the expensive and the obscene.

Beautiful department store with everything you could imagine. Very very crowded, but did visit on one of the last shopping weekends before Xmas. Well worth a visit if you kneel at the alter of capitalist consumerism.

Shopping center which has a huge number of boutiques. On the 6th floor there is a terrace, where you can sit to relax, drink coffee and enjoy Paris.

An absolute mess! I went to the Papeterie thinking it would be similar to the wonderful stationery floor in BHV Le Marais, but how I was wrong. I went looking for wrapping paper, but found just two choices on the whole floor. When I enquired as to where I could find a greater selection, I was confronted with a look of horror: Madame, you need to come back closer to Christmas. Appalling!

Just to see the warehouses inside is worth entering. These photos are taken for Christmas where there was this special decoration. These stores can be considered luxury with many expensive brands unaffordable for most pockets. Lots of security at the entrance where everyone s bags are checked. The part we didn't like is that so many employees are Japanese as this tourists line up to buy luxury items.

Feel like flowers: head to the Home of Galeries Lafayette Gourmandes. Even for the eyes it's beautiful

The lafayette galleries of Paris Hausmann are a magical place

I'm just going to go to Calardez, rue de Provence and Big Fernand, level 1 GL Men.
Except 3 years ago, when I bought a jacket "big cold" signed Redskin, I buy nothing or almost nothing being a woman.

Even if you aren't interested in shopping, the reason to go is first of all, there is an observation point on the top floor terrace where you can see Paris almost 240 degrees. It's nice to see everything from the Eiffel Tower to Sacrequere on the Montmartre hill. There is also an observation deck on the 3rd or 4th floor where you can see the ceiling dome.

The store is superb but the prices are exorbitant! If you go to Paris at Christmas time, go see the windows: it's magic

All your usual luxury brands but with crowds to squeeze through. Thoroughly unenjoyable when you have to avoid people who do not look where they are going or care where they stop.

Extraordinarily amazing place, the best shopping in the world!!!!!! boxing day sales were to die for! Also, they have an on-site tax free which saves so much time. Don t forget to pass by the terrace for the most perfect view of Paris.

Huge choice of food products!

On the ground floor, there are many tasting stands: chocolates, cold meats, sushi, cookies but also pastries or macarons.

In the basement, there is a more classic store, with many quality products. I particularly like the world's food department, where I can find foods from the USA, but also from Asia.

Price a little expensive, but can be explained by the neighborhood and the choice of products.
