Estrel Hotel & Convention Center Berlin Review

Very cool hotel the biggest which I know in Germany!

The show in the Estrel I can recommend to everyone, typical Gastropreise, atmosphere and staff very friendly, the performers take the time after the show to keep small talk with the guests and then take pictures ..... I always like to go there .....

Had there our Bachelorball. The location is very nice and the whole event was well organized. Unfortunately, the food was very bad and almost unseasoned and the drinks extremely expensive.

Top Location. Great organized for the size of the house. I can highly recommend. We were there for a conference and have not stayed here.

The hotel was spacious and clean. The service was also very good. I attended a conference here and the facilities were huge. The food at the hotel was also decent and moderately priced. The area itself felt quite mixed. There were parts that had substantial fly tipping and waste. The local area is very lively with a dense population. The city centre is about a 45 minute drive away during peak hours.

The large event area is a bit angled, but has everything you need. Despite the size, attentive service.

A large conference hotel that you can still see today that was once planned for big events.

We were there for a conference, so no insight on rooms, restaurant, etc. The waiters are good and fast to clean up after everyone, but they do like opening doors it's 30+ outside instead of letting the air condition to its work. All in all pretty good, but could be better as far as event hosting goes.

Always nice to be in Berlin in the Estrel. Unfortunately, I do not feel so welcome like the rest of the years. Everywhere unfriendly security, advance payment was obligatory ... Well, for a better time next year.

Food, rooms and technology in the context of a training or presentation perfectly OK. The food had to be taken while standing. The bar tables were clearly too few. I also noticed positively the kicker, table tennis and air board, which were in the dining room.

Good place to go in berlin..also not very expensive for stay..

I have been several times to various conferences and seminars in the Estrel in Berlin. The hotel is very clean and well presented and very chic. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel rooms are also very clean and in a very good condition.

The price is upscale and rather something for meetings and seminars that are completed on business, as to stay for tourists or day trips.

The technology at the meetings is always optimal and well coordinated.

My stay at the Estrel was very good. The hotel is clean and tidy, there are good restaurants (especially the Italian is great!) And there are some supermarkets in the immediate area. The route to the city center is easy to do, it is within 13 min. by train on the Alexander Platz or by car in about 20 minutes. The service is great and the staff very nice.

I always enjoy being here. We come to the MHK general meeting in Berlin almost every year. Every year there is a new program and I think what this hotel offers here is a top achievement. Even with 3000 guests, the service, the food and the program is new and exciting every year. The food at the highest level. The gala evening is something very special. It is a stunner when you enter the hall and the tables were festively decorated for 3000 guests. The following menu leaves nothing to be desired.
We look forward to it again every year ... until the end of March ... rooms are already booked.

Great hotel that you do not have to leave during your stay. Rooms are above average size.

The hotel lobby is huge, with restaurants located in it. Check in was quick and efficient. The hotel is huge. The elevators work very well. The room is very good, but without excesses or sophistication. Breakfast is well served and diverse. The best of the hotel: it has an excellent event center. The worst of the hotel: location far from the center.

The service, the ambience are great. Everything is just right

Nice room, though not quite clean, had a pill on the floor and several crumbs. I think that breakfast has diminished, that was better. Did not find it comfortable in this big "hall" to have breakfast. But everything as always a matter of taste.

Good hotel. A disadvantage the heating in the room cannot be regulated. Very hot.

Unfortunately, very old. In 1998, when I was there, it was a great location with good service and food. Now it is more like a Motel One in large.

For a larger exhibition well suited, the ventilation in the meeting rooms could be improved. Hotel, lobby and restaurants are very good.

Excellent service for this hotel which is the largest in Germany.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we wanted to play. The front desk staff was very friendly on demand if we could get a room upstairs with a view of the city and also gave us a room on the 9th floor. The connection to the city center is not far because 5 minutes from the hotel is a S-Bahn station. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly.

The rooms could be a bit more modern at times, but overall a nice hotel with good service. Also easy to reach by public transport.

Very nice venue with a great catering service. The food was terrific and enough toilets were also there.

Over 15 years ago, I was often a guest here. Back then it was new and I liked it a lot. Today I'm back and I feel right at home again. You can not see that it is now over 20 years old. The rooms look fresh and well-kept. The bathroom too. And what I really like is the brightly lit storage space for luggage. That alone is worth 5 stars: Photo attached. It is cozy down in the large atrium and you can choose from several restaurants. The staff is friendly. A really ideal hotel for business trips. The location is unfortunately far from the center. So not really ideal for a holiday in Berlin. But there is also public transport.

Very tense parking situation but otherwise very nice ...

Big "bunker", getting a bit old. The immediate area is not nice. Good connection to the public, but that is almost standard in Berlin. I find breakfast prices outrageous

Nice rooms; everything in the hotel, despite the size, is very well organized. For example, no crowds at the breakfast buffet.

Events such as the New Year's brunch are particularly recommended.

The hotel as a building is OK. Location is very remote. Basic rooms are too small and cheaply made. Premium rooms are better, yet the pricing is not right for this location. I was only staying here for a conference and would not recommend it for any other occasion.

What was disturbing, is the rude and cold service. Especially the security personnel was mostly a disgrace for the tourism industry. The apogee of their rudeness was that they said to one of the persons in our group (Swiss national, to "move on, move on, go back to your country"), when they were closing a banquet room. This is totally unacceptable and that attitude is something beyond my understanding. And no hotel official found had a guts to apologize right away, denying the whole issue, although there were several witnesses including me. I am not coming back period and will keep an eye on this story with that guy.
