I did not have the pleasure of staying there I was doing a job there and the site is completely wonderful and very clean and very organized great staff I don't know why you wouldn't want to go there for a good vacation
The staff was incredibly rude and immediately as we pulled into our spot we had employees coming in and telling us we couldn't park here we needed passes etc (mind you we JUST pulled in and had children in the car we needed to unload and our vehicles did have passes) then we unloaded my disabled brother motorized scooter, since he obviously cannot walk far but wanted to check out the grounds. As soon as we unloaded it we had even more staff coming over and yelling at us. We haven't even unhooked our rig yet... We have literally stopped at KOAs from PA to Texas and back, and this was the FIRST time we have ever had an issue like this. Very ashamed of them.
This is my second review for a recent stay. When I returned home a few days after my stay , I received a phone call from the owner stating that I will be charged a fee of 100.00 because dog hair was found in my cabin . I do not own a dog, but my friend visited briefly while I was there . She was staying at a cabin close by . I was told the 100 charge was for a deep cleaning . I would hope they are performing a deep cleaning regardless during this time due to COVID19.
We stayed at the Erie, McKean Pennsylvania KOA in June 2020 and we have reservations to stay 3 times in 2021. The McKean KOA is a wonderful campground! We know we'll enjoy our return trips. We tent camp with water and electricity. The bathrooms are Always Very clean, the staff are All Very friendly and helpful. And if you have kiddos there's a lot for them to do there including a heated pool. We especially love the catch and release pond! Be on the lookout for Big Mama, she's in there somewhere! And beautiful Presque Isle State Park is just a short drive away. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND McKean Erie KOA!! We can't wait for our return visits! (They also strictly follow COVID policies)
Just got back from a 3 night girlfriends glamping trip. Did Suv tenting. Beautiful place. Everyone was so friendly and answered all the questioned. Restrooms clean and also had handicap accessibility.
Would definitely return.

1st time there. Under new ownership. They have some work to do. I believe they will get there. They are nice people. Campground is a nice size. we will be back
this was single handedly the best koa I have ever been to. the owners go above and beyond to make this place awsome. we stayed 5 nights on site 16 and were sad when we had to leave. the place is so clean and well landscaped. its not a question of when we will be back its how many times we will be back.
The campground is spotless. The owners take pride in ownership. Bring your fishing pole - some really big fish swimming around in their huge pond. Close to Presque Isle and much more!
Great campground. Stayed one night in RV with my daughter. Very kid friendly, easy access from highway, great proximity to Presque Isle and friendly staff and fellow campers. Highly recommended!
This was our very first camping trip. We had just bought our camper and are complete newbies. the staff was very helpful and friendly. The new owners and doing renovations and im sure will have the place better than ever. We are already planning our next trip and would recommend this campground to anyone looking to visit the Erie PA area.
